Downstairs Chaos could feel Yumi's presence once again, she seemed to be moving slower than usual. Then two thuds could be heard and she disappeared. After a few minutes another pair of thuds could be heard, like she was dropping something heavy on the floor. One more time she disappeared and one more thud could be heard. Then there was silence. Yumi didn't move.

Chaos rose slowly from his place without a sound. He swept from the room like a shadow. He walked down slowly. He didn't prepare himself to attack though. He walked down searching the darkened house for Yumi and the things she had dropped. They had sounded like bodies...maybe he was wrong though. He was not sure at the moment and hoped that he may be wrong. He might have to help her otherwise, not that he mined, as much as he wished she knew her limitations...

"Chaos... uhm... hello!" Yumi didn't really sound like she wanted to see Chaos at the moment and she didn't step out of the shadows like she usually would have. The reason was that Yumi at the moment didn't feel like she was ready to face someone she didn't trust completely, all the running and quickly having to transport 5 bodies wasn't exactly easy. Also, Yumi looked even more messy than she usually did, with a completely ruined kimono.
On the floor 8 people lay dead, 3 more than there was before. And if you looked into the opposite room there seemed to be two more new bodies.
"Just cleaning up after you." She answered the question Chaos didn't ask.

Chaos looked the bodies over slowly and shakes his head before turning to walk back up the stairs. "Messy killers are killed easily." He walked away from her, not caring to see her. "Just put those bodies somewhere, one of the rooms preferably. Then lock it." He goes back to his room slowly, not caring about her expenditures, or endeavours she went upon. That was her own choice after all.

"HA?" Chaos's comment had made Yumi furious.
"Why do you call me a messy killer? Those bodies look just like all the others in here! And why would I clean up your mess? Are you saying I have to put my 5 bodies that obviously are shinsengumi like all the others and even left the headquarters with these other corpses... and hide them? Why?" Her eyes were flaming.
"I brought them here because I obviously couldn't leave them out there on the streets and noone would know if these five men were killed in here, where it would be most logical that they were killed, or out there? I didn't drag them all the way from there for no reason!" Now she stepped out from the shadows. Her black hair had a reddish tint to it from all the blood and the back of her kimono was covered in blood, the two swords that she hadn't cared to hide again were laying on her back in a cross shape. She blocked the door so that Chaos wouldn't leave the room, she seriously wanted to hear is answer.

Chaos stops and turns his head to look back at her slowly. "Yumi...are you so foolish as to leave a trace of your killings? Search this house. You'll find no bodies other than the ones you brought here. You leave blood Yumi. I leave no remains of a death. Unless I wish it to be known. You're a strong killer and a swift one. But you're losing speed Yumi. You're losing your edge. If you don't keep it up, soon I shall defeat you without even trying."
He sweeps past her despite her blocking the way. He never even touched her yet was up by the door to his room. "I pity you Yumi, for not being able to see past the end of your nose to the larger image. If there are dead Shinsengumi here in a public house, what would happen to it? Its' occupants. Yumi you kill without a thought to the future. It would have been better to let them run home, or kill them and leave them in the street. That way if they do decide to do a search for their men, they shan't know what house the 'killer' resides in yes?"
His golden eyes catch her, His brother blades gleaming at his sides before he moved into his room without another word. He knew she wouldn't be happy or satisfied with that answer but he told her and that was all he could do for now.

((Looks like we have some misunderstandings... I didn't know he had already removed all the bodies because you never said that crying Of course she wouldn't have brought them here if he had already removed all the bodies... but what did he do with all the bloodstains? There is no possible way to kill someone without any blood, well maybe if you strangle or poison them, but he didn't do that. It takes time to clean up the big mess the attack caused, but it sounds very very much like he only walked back up to the room sweatdrop And even though I know he's strong and fast and so on... it still can't be THAT easy to remove 15 bodies of full grown trained men, he's still 15, not superman xp And Yumi's not slow sweatdrop Also his skill to disappear is annoying, if he can use something like that, why wouldn't he use it all the time? Now I'm rambling once again xp ))
Yumi said nothing, she had had enough of the cocky brat. You look down on people so much that you'll eventually underestimate an opponent and get killed. And the most sad part, is that you don't even notice it yourself. She looked up after Chaos, then started to once again move the bodies.
When the last body had been transported into the woods, where she had found a nice hidden spot, Yumi looked back at the small twinkling lights from the city. I've had enough of you Chaos, I won't take any more of your rude comments. Have fun... maybe we'll meet again.

((Hehe ok let me explain. He moved them while she was out. But not into the woods. They are burning at the moment in another house. If one were to dump them next door like that they would burn easily and without notice. He doesn't use his 'shadowwalk' all the time because it is just a trick of the eye and using a persons senses to deceive them, same as a ninja's ninjitsu. It only works because a person believes it does. His speed as far as being able to make multiple copies is a different skill. The blood was never produced because his blades are sealed the wounds while making them. They don't let blood out. They never ask for blood though, so they differ from the Marasume in that way. If he had used the blade on his back, the Masamune it would done the same. The ones at his sides seal the woundsas I said, but if the cuts are severe a person can't live any longer after that. Anyways...yes I know he's a selfish p***k brat, but That's who he is. He never had to deal with people and doesn't know or understand how to treat others...<_< Ehhe anyways.))
Chaos listened to Yumi and never heard her enter again. He swallowed slowly. He knew he had said something wrong. He sighed slowly hitting his head against the window frame. He never said it right. He didn't mean to be like that, but that's all he knew. He knew power, and destruction. The ability to deal with people he had never learned. He sighed softly shaking his head.
This is it.
Chaos lifted his head slowly and stared out at the sky. He nodded his head slowly and whispered. "Yes...this will be it." He moved from the window sill ready to let the next four days to go by as fast as they wished. He wouldn't care any more. He would leave Yoshimitsu as soon as he got back. He would no longer work for them. Never again serve them. He knew they would find another to work for them. He would not do this any longer. A rurouni was the life he needed. Not a killers'...

((Ahaaa 3nodding Now I understand everything, thank you. I tend to get irritated when I don't understand things xd I'm very stupid you see surprised Chaos really is a strange boy, sometimes so very irritating, sometimes incredably cute whee ))
Back in the big city, Yumi changed to another kimono, burnt the old one like she used to and went to meet some Shinsengumi men to see what she had missed while she had been away.
After a long evening with too many drinks, Yumi didn't drink though, the men revealed to her that the small message and the rumour about the assassin being one from the Meiji plus that the Meji had apparently recently killed 50 Shinsengumi members had lead to that many swore to take revenge. This secret mission, called Lotus, was apparently something that only very few high ranked and skilled Shinsengumi members knew about yet. Yumi was thrilled, this was exactly why she had spread the false rumour about Yumi being a Meji assassin. The possibility of a real war breaking out was now very likely.
Whistling Yumi walked back "home". Maybe there will be some real action soon. The news had made Yumi completely forget about Chaos.
((Completely forgot where she was before sweatdrop I have very creative names xp ))

((I know he is whee And don't hesitate to ask any questions that you may have about him or what he does. I'll be glad to tell if it doesn't ruin anything xd ))
Chaos protected the men easily for the next few days. He didn't have any trouble like the first night, and so passed them by easily. Chaos finished the mission and turned from the house, bowing his head slightly to the men before heading back to his own, 'home.'
Yoshimitsu knew something was wrong...he could feel it. He simply sighed and would wait. That's all he could do, but he had a couple of people he was recruiting already.

((Approximately?...5 days XD)) Yoshimitsu stands looking at Chaos his jaw open. He knew something had happened, but he had never expected Chaos to resign from the position of the hikage hitokiri. Such an odd thing but he sighed slowly nodding his head getting everything straight in his mind. "Alright Chaos. I won't keep you here...bad things can happen from forcing a person as young as you to kill people over and over again. Go ahead and enjoy your life. I wish you well my friend." He bowed slowly and deeply to show his immense respect for this young master of the blades. He would then rise and go to his paperwork letting Chaos leave as he willed.
Chaos watched the man for a while and then bowed back slowly to him. He would rise and take his leave, words not needing to be said. Chaos would simply walk toward the door, leaving no sound or trace he had ever existed there. He quickly left and walked from the town. He was ready to begin his travels. He pulled down his hat over his eyes a bit, the shadow hiding him. His blades resting on either side, and the original Masamune resting upon his back. His sandals made no sound as they walked.
The rurouni walked, without a destination, nor a home. He couldn't fight the war again. The time of the hitokiri was coming to a close, and the real fight would be without him. He saw no area for a person like him to fight in. A boy still, no matter how he 'changed' his appearance. His 'chamleon' ability would not help him become older. His heart still oddly pure, despite the massacres he had committed. His once golden eyes, now were grey. His hair falling slightly in front of his eyes waving gently in the breeze. The only thing that would be his friend for a long time now.
