[x]Late nights were nothing unfamiliar for Levi. He often found himself staying up in order to do work, or to play video games, or work on a recipe or a cover--there were plenty of reasons to be up past his alleged bedtime. Tonight, it was editing a cover video he planned to post to YouTube--since starting his channel last year, he'd gained a little popularity, and his latest cover...was a little inside joke with himself.
"Show Yourself."
All things considered, it felt like one he just had to do.
But no matter how much he wanted to keep working,t he hour drew late, and Levi supposed there had to come a point where he packed it in for the night. So, he saved the file and closed down his editing software, and dragged himself across his apartment to bed.
He wasn't one for vivid dreams, not usually, but tonight...seemed to be an exception, because as soon as he fell asleep, he found himself in a strange, unfamiliar place. A soft frown crossed his face as he looked aorund the ravine--dark, and deep, and long, and there didn't seem to be an obvious way out.
Well. That sucked, to put it mildly. This definitely felt like a very weird, very unfun nightmare.
Then, Levi looked up, and met the eyes of the strange, glowing figure. He couldn't ever recall seeing anything like it before, but somehow, he knew--this being was Safe. They wanted to help him. It was equally obvious that no matter how much they wanted to, they couldn't reach him, and Levi couldn't reach them--until, before his eyes, he watched the glitter pour down from its vial and a strange, ethereal pathway form in front of him.
Well. That was odd.
It took him a few tries, because the first platform formed just a few centimeters out of easy reach, but he finally clambered up onto it. It was solid under his feet, and felt perfectly safe.
