O-Oh? Was she mad at him? Her words were very serious for someone claiming to play to have fun. Plus, she wouldn't even look at him. Again, he messed up didn't he?
Trolls were lining up and filing out one by one, causing his stomach to do a flip. They slowly filed along in line, and Mahmud awaited his impending doom. A runway walk at least, a performance at most... "Mmm..." What did he do out there? What should he do?
Thats when Hemera bust out the line about insects with cutlery, and he couldn't help but crack a smile and laugh a little bit. "Y-yeah...". Soon though, it was time for them to part. "Good luck, Hemera... and um... thanks." Those last words may not have reached her in time, but at least he said them. Even when he was only metaphorically, and not physically, lost she seemed able to help him out. Pretty damn cool, for a tealblood...nope! Can't think like that, can't think like that, can't think like that!
When it was Mahmud's time to go out there, the phrase "nearly s**t bricks" didn't even begin to cover it. After all, he had seen the competition before him. He saw the kinds of bodies and oiled up-ness they all exhibited in comparison to his own lacking frame. As he got on stage there was a polite clapping, but he knew he'd have to perform somehow.
"U-um..." What should he say? What should he do? What could he do? Battle axes? There were so many props, some of which he didn't even know how to use... or what they were! Oh gog he was freezing up, think fast! Think FAST! They weren't amused! They weren't pleased! They--
"P-Please pardon my boldness, and pardon my slowness This crowd is just too damn cool for this level of coldness Like a sea of eyes, full of despise Gazin’ up at me on this stage all ugly, like I’m homeless"
The words rolled right off the tongue, as he basically spilt his feelings out on stage in the form of sweet Alternian Freestyle Slam Poetry. This was about talent, right? Showing what they could do, right? Maybe if he did this... aah! The crowd was looking restless! What should he say?
"No need, no need! Sit back and relax all, please! A crowd this fine’s enough to make a guy weak in his knees. All you gotta do is smile a little, give in, trust my expertise.
Are you listenin’? Man I’m glistenin’ Hair treatment and all, got myself some conditionin’ Just to see all your bright and shining face Came all the way from Chittentown to this place Not once have I seen such amazing folks Why is it I should have to coax A grin out of y’all, do I gotta tell jokes?

As he was ushered off stage, he didn't even hear whether or not they clapped, but he was glad he got his feelings out in the open. Who knows? Maybe his feats were... unusual, but maybe someone enjoyed them. It was all part of the game, right?
At the very end though, once he got off stage, Mahmud just broke down and started shaking violently. Clearly being up there had been too much for him, and he was coming down an adrenaline rush. "I-I..." What to say what to do what to say what to do whattosaywhattodowhattosaywhattodo...
"Y-you did great out there, Hemera." was all he could eek out before finally sitting in a chair. He was scarred, but came out of this alive.

One last great show. That was all Flydra needed to do. She set to work again, laying out her mortars and trying to place them in a pattern. It was a diamond, to represent her friendship with the other three sirens. The four of them could do anything together and had proved it by catching the attention of a high ranking juggalo in the military! She smiled at the memory, shoving another firework down in the sand.
"Let's get this thing rolling." Flydra let the fuse and stepped back, watching her vision come to life in the giant sky filled with stars above her. They were on the right track to greatness and glory, she was sure of it. And the young doctor would do everything in her power to keep them aimed straight at their goals. The crowds cheered at the sight of the all the glittering explosions in the sky and their sound filled her pump biscuit with the power to do anything.
She would protect this planet. She would mend its people and its problems. Once she was a little bit taller and a little bit older, the four of them would join the army officially together and destroy everything in the queen's way.

"Count on it." Scorpa winked at the fresh purpleblood before turning to review what was left to do. She didn't really understand if she was supposed to be grabbing more props to take out with her or what and decided to just enter the line of trolls heading out onto the stage. She didn't need to do any other prep, she was gorgeous and amazing just like this. Tapping her foot impatiently, the yellowblood wondered if her friends had come to support her like she'd been hoping. Was Flydra out there with yellow pompoms cheering for her? Did Lorata manage to find time to swing by and clap ever so gracefully? Was Austri out there glowering in the stands, secretly jealous of her amazing buff body and secretly loving it? Scorpa snickered to herself at the image. Strutting out into the spotlight as she was told it was her turn, the troll let her muscles and curves glisten in the light. The sound of a young man's voice caught her ear and the yellowblood perked up with a grin. Someone was bringing slam into this?
"Shuffle along and get out of my way The next act is on with plenty to say~ With a fresh set of flows and mad beats divine I'll hit my first pose and the crowd is mine.
In this bikini, I'll show off all of my stuff! Well almost- the rules don't allow for completely buff! But I think we agree I'm already enough! A yellowblood diamond in the rough!"
Scorpa started rapping as Mahmud left the stage, waving after him so he'd know she was doing so on purpose because of him. Honestly she was a bit bummed he was already off- it was more fun to rap battle in front of groups than go solo but she supposed there wasn't much she could do about it. Putting down two watermelons as she continued, the yellowblood took the opportunity to pose every chance she got and then smashed them at the end. Some trolls might think she was lame and copying the boy but she hoped he'd take it as a playful nudge to continue after she got offstage! As she was ushered off, she glanced around wondering where he'd gotten off to, not entirely sure what the troll had looked like.

She couldn't believe she'd made it through the whole week. Approaching the booth with fireworks one last time, Tevini scooped up another handful of fireworks to arrange. Smiling softly she she laid them down, the redblood wondered how Cerpin was doing at the bodybuffing competition. He'd been really excited for it. It was interesting to her that she used to try adn stay by his side when they went out like this- scared of being alone or scared of him doing something off on his own. Was she getting better if she could go out on her own like this? Sure a small part of her was still terrified about what could all go wrong but she'd never been good at dealing with crowds like this before.
Lighting her match, the redblood crouched beside her arranged explosives. Watching it burn, she took a deep breath and leaned back to watch the sparks shoot out again. This time she didn't run from the flames or noise, simply stood there. Once the show was over, she packed up and disappeared back into the crowd, feeling the tiniest bit more confident.

Flydra was so excited and proud of what Scorpa had done that she almost cried just a little bit. She cheered for her bestest friend but the tealblood's voice was naturally pretty quiet and Scorpa wouldn't be able to hear her.
She couldn't, however, miss the bright gold pompoms waving in her honor!
My artistic vision: The moment photographed is of Flydra Dromen out cheering in the crowd with some gold pompoms for her friend Scorpa who is on stage. I think it'd be a fun picture/moment to show some of the audience who come to see the Bloodfest events! To show the kind of scale of how many trolls are out there watching! But also to recognize the trolls who show spirit offstage! They're just as important as the ones who compete! : )
