Estellaina Post 5

"What are these strange sky creatures?" The young Yaeli panicked, drawing her weapon out and standing in front of the leaf in order to defend him. "Do not worry I will guard you from them. No harm will come to you," she continued to state, touching his arm for a moment in what she thought was a reassuring gesture. She feared these new arrivals and wondered if they were friend or foe. They sounded....genuine enough, but they came from the sky. That was unnatural to say the least. She wished to interrogate them, but feared they had weapons beyond what she carried.

Nadiya-4

Munching happily on her snack Nadiya watched Neryssa, "I think she would like one." She admitted after thinking about necklaces. Their mother was a delicate lady so anything pretty like jewelry would look great on her. Plus she was an artisan so something handcrafted would be truly appreciated by the older Matori.

But their conversation seemed to trail off as sudden chaos erupted in the crowd around them, "I see." Replied Nadiya quietly as she stepped forward in a protective manner, "Should we investigate?" She didn't want her sister to get injured if it were a great beast, but at the same time she didn't want to lose such good story materials.

And it seemed like Neryssa already had an idea of what to do.

Smiling in slight amusement Nadiya grabbed her bag tightly and moved forward after her sister. as she caught up to the younger Matori, Nadiya latched onto an arm, "Strangers?" She found herself whispering as the strange machine allowed two new faces to emerge. Their features were also so strange! Bouncing on the tip of her toes Nadiya continued trying to get a peek, "I wonder if this means trouble for us..." Would they try to begin a war? A new country from afar that wished to conquer their lands? Oh, the stories that began to form in her mind!

Naqenni || 5

Naqenni narrowed her eyes.

Nothing about the situation was ideal—or even favorable. They were in strange lands under strange conditions, and it had not been obvious how much could be alien all at once until this trip. The newest developments, though, were amounting to new heights of risk and unpredictability by the moment. She had no outright objections to them splitting up. She cared most about the fate of her mystic and had confidence that the other two could handle themselves as warriors, so that portion was entirely acceptable.

This, however…

To be perfectly fair, even as the earthlings riled themselves into a tizzy and the sky grew smokey, even as Nivalis tugged her down and in and began chittering anxiously, it didn’t seem to be much added cause for alarm. Everything was already wildly strange. Too strange to fully absorb. Thus, her capacity for distinguishing greater quantities of it had reached its limit and all the earthlings looked absurd to begin with, so these were simply two other absurd earthlings who happened to be—well, crawling down out of the sky.

That part was admittedly more odd than she’d been prepared for, but it had come to the point where she almost felt as she were traipsing through some obscure dream state than the actual world. And, tempers seemed to be pulled taut (if the gathering of armsmen and nervous hum to the air was anything to go by).

Perhaps the earthlings would fight and kill one another off and she and her sisters could slip away or partake. Not, as Nivalis seemed to be noting, that that seemed to be what they were actually doing.

She grimaced. “There are always more.” Though it came out with a satisfyingly confident and cynical ring to it, as though she were speaking from ‘experience’ this was hardly the case. It simply seemed to be true from her limited experience thus far and felt appropriate to say. “Outsiders on a…” She eyed their contraption with distaste. What was it? She couldn’t have begun to say. “Sky ship. But they are all earthlings. It doesn’t matter what color they are, we will still conquer them…”

Her gaze rose of its own regard, following the trail of gradually dissipating smoke that painted the gradually darkening sky.

“And perhaps wherever land they came from, also. If they do not leave it bare for us of their own doing by fighting themselves.” She looked to Nivalis. “We should take what you wish from this place, learn what you must, and leave. All those in Zinris should know of this. That the earthlings fly burning machines, and that there are more now than those they fought in years past.”

Amalric || 5

Amalric frowned, studying the man before him. It was still entirely possible that he wasn’t fully sane. He spoke obscurely, he acted obscurely and he was very—touchy. Amalric made some very brief, aborted yip of a sound when his hand was caught, but made no real struggle to pull away.

His attention was soon dominated by other factors. Most notably, the other young man seemed to be right. There was very definitely something distinctly ‘new’ going on, enough so that it had managed to build up into quite the commotion, and as he was pulled inward, closer to the source, Amalric felt his pulse give a rising stutter, drawn against his better intentions into the excitement.

Had they really—?

The closer they drew though, the less doubt there was, both judging by the visual, and the whispers on the crowd. It did seem that the strangers had descended from the sky itself. So busy were his thoughts (on the contraption, on the foreign women, on what this might mean, particularly if even a peaceful visit like this inspired armed warriors to emerge from eves) that he did not properly register the other’s questions until belatedly.

“My…people?” Amalric glanced to the man at his side. He ought to have been used to persons mis-identifying or simply not knowing what to guess of his race after his departure from Daurelts and the accompanying change to his hair. “No,” he said, shaking his head and not bothering to specify as his eyes wandered back to the scene at hand. If he still happened to be holding the other man’s hand at that point, it was not bothering him enough for him to see any need to pull away. “These are strangers…no one from any of our lands has those features that I have ever heard or seen or read of. Unless they are hybrids? The woman might be of Oban lineage…”

Ozzrick || 5

Ozzrick’s eyebrows twitched up, arching as Estellaina drew her weapon and moved into a defensive position. From behind her, he turned his attention up to the unfolding scene.

“Talk about crashing a party…” he remarked after a moment, rolling his shoulders as his brow furrowed in thought. “If nothing else can be said, it’s clear these folks know how to steal a show.” Oz reached, setting a hand on his company’s shoulder. “But. I think if they were here to fight, they would have burnt us all down by now when they had the opportunity…and…”

His gaze moved back to the women who had disembarked from their ship. Unfortunately, he couldn’t see them perfectly clearly from here given the crowd, distance and commotion, but judging by what he could see and what could be heard among the crowd: these were definitely foreigners.

“They are no stranger to me than you. Perhaps they bring good tidings.”

And if not, those flying ships held worlds of promise.

He wondered what it would take to attain one.

“I am going to try to get closer,” he decided aloud—and did so immediately after speaking it.

JHANA - post 7

Jhana wasn't sure she could believe her eyes. The fire in the sky was some... thing. Something flying and once it landed there were people coming out of it. They looked like earthlings but they didn't look like any kind of earthling that lived on Tendaji. "Who... who are they?"' She asked aloud to her siblings, even though she knew they wouldn't have the answer.

Jerami asked if the three of them wanted to get closer and Jhana's antennae twitched in anxiety. "What if they're not friendly?" she almost hissed out. "What if we get grounded?" It was almost more upsetting a thought than if the people were to turn out to not be friendly.

Callistos - Post 7

The lot of the were soon on the move, heading toward what they were hoping was going to be safety from... well, whatever it was that was going on. They were going in the opposite direction that the archers were heading, wanting to put space between the danger. As they walked along he found himself glancing over his shoulder as someone new joined them, approaching Riya, even wrapping an arm around her. The boyfriend if Li had to make a guess. As tempting as it was to say something to him it was going to have to wait because they needed to keep moving.

As they arrived at the stalls that they had been heading toward, where the twins' beasts were being kept. He glanced toward them, taking in the large beast for a while. It seemed as though they had made it here and the toothy janarim were going to help to keep them safe. Just as he was thinking that a loud thudding sound, followed by a loud shriek, drew his attention away from the janarim. His eyes came to lock on Lilif and he couldn't help but to laugh as he said, "I think we might have put the wrong one in charge of guard duty, Riya." Ah well, they were here so he supposed it was fine.

As Riya pointed something out, to the one called 'Ergon', Li looked as well and spotted... huh... well, to be honest he had no idea what he was seeing. From here one could see some sort of really giant... boat? Air boat? Were those a thing? He supposed that they had to be because they were right there in front of him. He glanced toward his group, then forward again as he spotted a pair of strange new girls who had come from the flying ships and were approaching the elders of their various tribes. He blinked a couple times before he said, "Huh... strangers, huh? Well... so long as they are here in a peaceful capacity then maybe we can relax?"

Looking over at Lilif he called to her and said, "Hey, Lily! You don't have to worry now, it seems that the danger has passed. At least I hope so." He muttered the last part to himself before he started forward, wanting to get a better look at the strange girls in hopes of figuring out what was going on, who they were, and what they wanted.

Itotia 7

Well that made things easier. She could just look around with an ice kid who looked like her and it'd be fine. In fact, she had a reminder right next to her to keep it in check. Itotia smirked, and decided she'd focus on teenagers and just...sort it out. Scanning the crowd, they slowly made their way to the outskirts where a gathering was happening. Itotia made a point to not get into the crowd, and looked up tot he sky with Eira to catch sight of the falling things.

Her heart stopped.

She knew the stories, of flying beasts from the fire mountains. Did the mainlanders have such stories as well? Aseara didn't really tell her much outside of the fire bird, which was mostly a book she read back when she first started studying under the dancer.

As Eira spoke of getting closer, Itotia let out a huff, "I'd rather not get lost in the masses, but if you wish to look closer I will keep an eye out here..."

She was far enough away to be outside of the crowd, and didn't mind. Surely there would be rumors soon enough. This might be goodbye with her companion, but she was perfectly fine with the idea if it meant avoiding a mob.

Ondine Post 7

As she moved through the crowd, Ondine was smiling brightly. Her skin was lightening to match the sun, and in this phase it was a bit harder to tell her spotting. She held back when she arrived at the front lines, cracking her knuckles and listening to the orders. This was a fight, a fight! This was so much more than the tavern brawls or the tournament, this was life and death, and man Ondine sure did feel alive.

"Finally." She mumbled, flexing her fingers and peeking about for anyone she recognized. That is, until someone shouted for the front line to hold. Was something happening? Was it starting?

No.

It was something...someone else. There were people, new people, different people.

Who were these people?

Eirlys - Post 7

The female ice beast charmer nodded as she slowly walked to the sidelines that was gently gathering. Most of those present were curious about the flying boats. Eirlys was more concerned with any new beasts they would bring with them. She kept her husband at her side as she glanced up to see Polaris on his hind legs looking over the crowd. She blinked. Raised her hand then when she saw Polaris looking at her. She gave him the signal to go down and keep watch. She gave a soft hum. "The twins are at the stall, Polaris is there with them. He's on alert so we'll make this a short peek..."

She looked back to the newcomers.

Neryssa
Post 5

Neryssa looked back at her sister before turning her attention back towards what was going on. She wanted to know where these two had come from, did they really come on floating boats? Many many other questions came to her head. Giving an antsy twitch the young Matori wanted to run out and start giving the two a list of her questions. Her sister's own question made her look away again.

"They look strange. Have you ever seen hair that color? Besides adding a lot of dye to it? And those eyes on the other, they look like someone replaced them with gems."

Looking them over from where she could see, she wanted to move forward and push past the archer line. Looking away from the two women, she looked at the boats, The strange contraptions that had held them aloft in the air. How high did they really go? Were they fast? What made them float in the first place and did they have to wear such gear to ride them? Neryssa wanted to know everything!

"Come on, I want to get closer." She tugged at Nadiya before moving along the line of spectators and closer to where the many elders and two strangers were gathering.

Draven
Post 7

The ground almost seemed to shudder when something came in contact with it. It appeared that the 'beasts' weren't beasts at all, but some sort of air craft? What sort of people had this kind of knowledge? Stopping as he watched two others come to a move graceful landing then the one that crashed. At least there wouldn't be any fighting.. At least he hoped anyways. The two women, strange as they looked sounded genuinely sincere, mentioning that they were friendly. But the strange outfits and modes of transportation seemed to speak many volumes.

Glancing at his companions, more at Aysun, a brow lifting slightly. Was this one all about beasts and where they came from. Draven had to wonder how many he was hoarding besides the ones he had with him today. This day just couldn't get less boring, could it.

"You certainly have a thing for the scaly, Don't you? he asked with a chuckle, "I'm just happy to have the two I have. I don't know if I could handle having more then that." Though the thought of having at least one more didn't sound too bad. All pokes aside he looked toward the craft that seemed to be aflame.

"Don't you think we should help put that out and make sure everyone, animals included, are alright?"

Drexl blinked as he looked at his brother. "Ah---HEY!!" he hissed trying not to be too loud. He pouted. "Okay...fair point...lets get closer so we can hear at least..." he gently led Miqwe out. Making sure they weren't too much in the way. He looked at his brother. "We don't tell Dad or Pop how close we got."

Issaly glanced to the two bigger males. "Draven has a point..." he mused as he walked a little closer. Mindful of the warriors he fiddled with his beads as he gathered the soothing magic he knew to be the healing art. He glanced back to Aysun...lost at what to do at this point.

The smaller male looked back to Ergon. "Ergon! Good to see you again!" As the group got to the stall he hugged Valek. "You okay, big brother?" he was worried that someone gave the other issues. He glanced around. "Where's Mom and Dad?" he got worried then.

Polaris rose up on his hind legs. The Janarim using his height to seek out his trainer and her mate. As the beast spotted them not too far, he lowered himself to nudge Uli in comfort. Uli blinked. "Well, at least their close..."
