LATTICE FIGHT Lattice was so absorbed in her own thoughts that the dopple attacked her and she missed her own chance to attack. Oops.
There was some disadvantages to being caught up within one's mind. Quote: Lattice HP: 20 [2d8-6] Lattice DMG: 0 Dopple HP: 16 ROUND: 8 Auto DMG:3 HP STR: 4 LUK: 6

LATTICE FIGHT She shook off her failures and went in fresh with a new attack. The impact was much stronger and more determined than her earlier ones. It made her feel accomplished.
The dopple was looking rather worse for the wear, but it wasn't giving up.

LATTICE FIGHT Lattice kept attacking trying to continue to wear the dopple down. There were so many more things she wanted to do, and being defeated wasn't one of them. Quote: Lattice HP: 14 [2d8-6] Lattice DMG: 4 Dopple HP: 4 ROUND: 10 Auto DMG:3 HP STR: 4 LUK: 6

LATTICE FIGHT Lattice was starting to feel the affects of the battle. She was starting to feel highly unsteady. If she could just get in one more hit then maybe... The hit made impact, but not as much as she wanted. She was most displeased Quote: Lattice HP: 11 [2d8-6] Lattice DMG: 3 Dopple HP: 1 ROUND: 11 Auto DMG:3 HP STR: 4 LUK: 6

LATTICE FIGHT She managed to gather up strength and make her last attack and not a moment to soon. The dopple was ended and she let out a deep and heavy sigh. The spikes on her arms were covered in shreds of ugly sweater design. They were going to be a pain to remove. Ugh. He wasn't doing as much damage as before. And his copy landed a few good blows on him, sending him staggering back this time, breathing heavily and shaking his head. Man. Maybe he shouldn't have goaded the other him into attacking. What had been done was done, though, and there was no repeating the past. Marosa wasn't entirely sure he wanted a redo, though. Everything he'd ever done, up to this point, had shaped him completely and utterly into the faerie he was today. He realized with a small amount of pride that if given the chance, he wouldn't redo anything.

He knew he couldn't keep this up for much longer, and closed an eye, trying to find a burst of energy where there was none. He knew he was in deep, and a deep fear coursed through his body. Had he gotten weaker?

Yes - 5 HP:36 -4 = 32 Doppleganger HP:14 -3 = 11 HPDice: 2d10-6 FEARs: -- DAMAGE: 3 Autodamage: 4HP per turn The answer was yes.By not doing anything... by not acting... the faerie was unable to hone his skills, and had... regressed, in a manner of speaking. It waas wearing him down, and he could feel each hit the more he was worn down. In hindsight, he probably should have asked to train with Hadiyya, or Sharra. But... he'd refrained, knowing how much they cared for him, knowing how much they'd wanted him to rest... It was a blessing and a curse. And now, he was paying the price for it. He slid back as his double slammed into him with its shoulder, and he raised his hand to elbow it in the back, sending it falling to the ground without remorse. The faerie could do this. He had to.

He staggered quite visibly, missing his entire punch while his doppleganger retaliated, landing a fairly good blow on his upper shoulder. Wincing, the faerie staggered, trying to regain his balance back.

It wasn't much, but it still did a little damage - and a little was absolutely better than nothing. Shaking his head and trying to clear his mind, the faerie forced a breath out and rolled his neck and arms back, letting out a sigh of content as the familiar pops were heard. He had to get limber again, to try to end this fight. He wasn't really built for fights that lasted a long time - he was used to getting in, fighting dirty, and ending it. Of course, fights like this... it taught him that not everything could be affected by his touch. Marosa stared, his eyes narrowing.

His look-alike had other plans; when he dashed forward, it jerked backwards, his blow only grazing across its chest as it slammed its fist into his arm, sending Marosa sprawling. He caught himself before he fell, legs apart to keep his balance. His golden eyes were glowing as he stared at his double, anger evident in that normally passive gaze of his.

Yes - 5 HP:20 -4 = 16 Doppleganger HP:7 -7 = 0 HPDice: 2d10-6 FEARs: -- DAMAGE: 7 Autodamage: 4HP per turn Standing up straight after he'd regained his balance, Marosa moved to walk slowly towards his doppleganger, shoving his hands in his pockets. He looked nonchalantly ahead, a small smirk playing across his lips as he swayed from side to side, tired but not quite out of the fight yet. "So. Ye think ye have what it takes tae beat me?" Came his lilted words, and his copy looked confused for a long moment, eyes squinting. "... nah. That was just a rhetorical question. Sorry. There kin only be one me." The faerie's hand jerked out of his pocket as he hurled his fist at the other, the blow hitting right in the middle of its chest. The copy looked surprised before it dissipated in a cloud of dark smoke, the remains curling around Marosa's fist before he pulled it back and grimaced, yawning tiredly. He wanted to go say hi to Hadiyya, now that all this nonsense was over with. Swaying sleepily to pick up his participation medallion, he shoved it into his pocket and forced a smile as he made his way to the stands, wanting nothing more than to curl into warm and welcome arms.
