Once the Mienshao was down, Rei turned (somewhat less eagerly) to the Marowak. Electric attacks would obviously not work here. So he charged in for a Bite instead, and managed to catch the other pokemon under it's arm. The Marowak bashed him on his snout in return, and he quickly fell back.

Determined to make a good showing, Tybalt darted in and sunk his teeth into the marowak's tail, shaking and dragging to beast to keep it off balanced and unable to retaliate, but he just didn't have the weight to keep that up indefinitely. The reptilian digger swatted him away.

In an attempt to close in before the Marowak could retaliate, Rei darted in with a Quick Attack. His attack certainly hit, but he couldn't dash away fast enough to avoid a return strike.

Tybalt snapped at the green marowak, and the ground type swung, but neither blow met with flesh. He circled, seeking another opening.

((I think my post of the last age got missed. The damage I gave marowak means it should be 100 less than everyone's saying it is.))
Pangolin used fury cutter on the enemy marowak, hoping Marmalade would keep her distance. The mienshao was out for the count, and the marowak looked angry.

Caliban's strange leaf fell to the ground, where it was crushed beneath his paw as he stalked toward the Marowak. A sharp, refreshing scent floated up into the Leafeon's nostrils, and he felt even more invigorated and eager to continue battling. He leapt forward to where the others were fighting and bit at the Bone Keeper Pokémon's leg, receiving a whack to the nose in return. He only grinned at his new opponent. ((@Emaltheya: I think what -might- have happened was that your attack was deducted from the meinshao rather than marowak? Which means that meinshaw would have 100 hp still?
if that's right, I'll have Tybalt attack it this turn?
edit: Except no, this turn is all misses, XD
edit: woops! so there was a more complicated fix in action there, so the meinshao's still dead, thankfully! ))
Tybalt was distracted for a moment, thinking of victory. He sidestepped just in time as suddenly as a the marowak's mace swung by his head, forewarned only by the whoosh of it through the air. He evaded with a snarl and regarded the remaining opponent cautiously. They could handle this, if momentary lapses of focus could be avoided.

Caliban snapped again at the Marowak, but this time they dodged him. The other Pokémon's bone club struck the Leafeon on the shin, and he growled. He was finally starting to feel the toll this battle had taken on him.

Tybalt thought he'd found an opening and darted in to deliver a good crunching to the skull-masked fighter's scaly hide. In his enthusiasm, he lingered too long and received a solid cuff to the side for it.

Domo sneered at the pokemon that had randomly decided to fight the innocent group of travelers. He swung his arm back and then whirled a ball of purple murky shadows at the Marowak, dancing to the side as the enemy tried swiping at him. Caliban spat a gob of toxic sap at the Marowak, but it veered off wildly. The Leafeon grinned, savagely, deliriously, as his foe closed in. He'd fought until the end, taken one adversary down and a chunk out of another. Anahera would be proud of him. He surged forward with a final, defiant snarl.
The Marowak's bone club caught Caliban square between the eyes, and he tumbled into darkness.

Domo sent another shadow ball at the Marowak, but cursed as it missed. He crashed to the ground with a grunt as a bone club socked him in the stomach. While on the ground, he angrily lobbed the glowing mushroom he had found in the cave at the Marowak. He was so done with this trip

Rei was growing tired now, but he thought he Marowak was, too. He eagerly lunged at the attacking pokemon and gave it a solid bite. But unfortunately, when the Ground-type retaliated, it smacked Rei right between the eyes with its bone. he stumbled backwards dizzily, far less enthusiastic than he was a few moments ago.

Domo sent a shadow punch at the Marowak, grumbling about stupid kids and why they had to attack a peaceful group of pokemon. He grinned in satisfaction as it connected with the Marowak's face and winced slightly at the graze he got from the Marowak's counter attack.

Goli dove for the tired Marowak missing while getting hit in the process. He snarled and threw the mushroom he had picked up a long time ago managing a direct hit between the marowak's eyes.
