Aandes was nervous. His station had always been about quality, rather than quantity. This type of... Mass producing seemed wrong. He thought back to last Bloodfest with the food eating contest -- once again, Alternia's love of excess was front and center. He felt sick just looking at the mass quantities of materials in front of him.

He begun to get into the swing of things. With 7 plates under his belt, he worked on efficiency and cleanliness. At least these festival goers appeared the be ravenous enough to consume what he was making. Crushing pre-packaged food into a sort of corn-meal was helping him bread chicken fingers. A tasty and economic treat!

Not so bad! Aandes smiled and theatrically sliced up some vegetables. Chopped salads were much easier to make in quantity - it was just a bit of prep work. He slid out the plates in front of him like he was a magician using a deck of cards. Watch, and be amazed! He didn't want to be too shmaltzy. He was not exactly in his comfort zone, so he didn't want to fall on his face and act the fool.

Now for the protein. Fish could be served raw, and in smaller quantities. Perfect subjects for this competition. Aandes put them over rice and drizzled on just enough sauce. Perfection. Aandes couldn't help but arrange them, wasting some time but feeling a bit better about himself as he sent out his beautiful creations into an unworthy mob. Ingrates.

Listening to her, the redblood's eyebrows lifted slightly before sighing and looking to the side. She seemed to start saying something before stopping. Good. She realized apologizing wouldn't help right now. Whatever, he wasn't planning on starting s**t. He was running a booth with her afterall. Best take the safest route. Watching her leave dully, the redblood sighed tiredly, too exhausted to put up with anyone elses s**t right now. Looking over toward Stryke and his glassy eyes, Zindel was tempted to wave a hand in front of his face to knock him out of his daze. Did Etsali really scare him that much? Well, she did tear him to shreds last time. He seemed to be still affected. Huh.
"I wasn't saying anything. But yeah, it was really, uh..." He looked at his fresh bruises before rubbing one of them slightly. "...bad." After a pause, Zindel's eye sorta darted up at the other trolls before idly scratching at a scabbing scratch. "I'm gonna... go clean up." He murmured softly, tired and beaten, just wanting to go see Wrenmom and starting to limp away. "Thanks again, Stryke."

The heat was starting to catch up to Aandes. He took a deep breath and continued on, but he was beginning to lose steam. Plates were spinning and he closed one eye to try and focus.
Stay cool, Aandes. In a flash, he took a breath. Wiping sweat from his brow, Aandes winked at a customer in front of him and smelled the delightful aroma of the kitchen. His station, at least, was savory and aromatic.

A second wind perhaps? He lost a great deal of time reordering his dishes, but the meals were flying out of his prep station. Aandes smiled and dealt out some more plates, but his station was becoming more and more chaotic.
"I dunno folks... Can I make it?" Aandes mumbled. He was feeling more and more like this was a thrilling escapade, but it unnerved him as he saw a pot begin to slip out of his grip.

As a couple of plates fell off of his station, he stopped his progress in time to catch more of he ingredients before they made an even better mess. Oops. Well, he'd had a good run. 42 meals in a matter of minutes? He smiled. The Queen may have produced flavorless garbage in half the time, but his technique, presentation and taste exceeded royalty.

Hivestuck My name is: Aerona I am in team:Red My final score was: BIG FAT GOOSE EGG Aerona tripped on the way up the stage and caught her supposed prep station with one hand. "YEEP!" She dragged it to the ground as she comically flailed, trying to maintain her balance while literally tossing every scrap and utensil she could see into the distance and the crowd in front of her. "Nooo!" Aerona laid on the ground, staring at the sky. Why did this happen. She didn't really expect to win, or anything, but... This was just.... Hilarious. The redblood burst into laughter and had to be escorted off of the stage after her ridiculous performance.

Stryke blinked a few times as he came back to reality and shivered quickly holding himself briefly. Shaking his head he sighed at the realization he really needed to let things go more often. He shouldn't be frightened of some orangeblood just because she'd gotten terse with him. Emotions were stupid. "wait...what?" He frowned at the other as he realized he said he was hurting really..bad? Wait. No that wasn't good. "hey..lets grab a bite to eat or something real quick before you call it a night? i have a few extra beetles." He offered quietly, stepping beside him pushing his hands in his pockets as he sighed.

There were a lot of things Vremea enjoyed to do. Among them was cooking. The first thing she did when she heard about there being a cooking event was grab her apron and head right down. This would be so much fun! Until they told her she had to cook as much as she could. Welp. Time to not mess this up...

She had started cooking quite well, actually. Vremea's hands were busily shuffling through the different dishes she had out, taking time with them and making sure none of them overheated. She didn't want to somehow be the creator of a fire! She'd finished 7 and started on a couple more, almost feeling at peace with the world.

As her hands busily moved, she was thankful for the steady pace she kept up. It wasn't too hard, not at all. Then again, Vremea had been only using the oven for very few heating things-- and seeing how Vremea didn't like to eat meat, it was obvious that she refused to cook it.

Thankfully, she could make whatever she wanted and it didn't even matter. She chopped and diced a fruit and tossed it in a bowl expertly, using the knife and actually dipping it into the mass of the fruit carefully. She didn't even mind when the knife got a little too close to her hand. Not once did she injure herself!

The yellowblood continued in her pursuit to try and get a lot of food made. The more she tried, the less she cared, for some reason. Vremea probably made 2 dozens worth of food or something in her time here... But it was strangely lethargic and helped her get over some emotions she'd felt at her booth.
