Ben just listened intently as the man asked about his opinion about weddings vows as well as suitable reference for the words. To be honest, he wasn’t that much into weddings, though he had read a few novels about couples getting their fairy-tale weddings at the epilogue part. He rubbed his index finger on his own cheek, averting his stare a bit because of sheepishness. “I’m not much of a wedding vows expert, actually, but I believe that wedding vows are spoken by two people who mutually understand each other as they forge a bond towards the next stage.” There was a minuscule pause of silence before the sales associate spoke once more, this time recovering from his slight nervousness. “As for the reference related to that matter, I suggest that you try out Diane Warner’s Complete Book of Wedding Vows. There are actually a last few copies left in this shop, three to be exact, so you’re in luck that it’s still around.”
As for the cookbooks, it was an entirely different subject altogether. Nonetheless, he nodded and gestured the man towards the cookbook section of the shop, his tone casual. “Stocks as of today include cookbooks related to French, Italian, Spanish, Chinese and Filipino cuisine. Those are the only ones left, based on the inventory check yesterday. Go ahead and pick what you need."

~✰`★ ~ ☄Casey got off the bus not to far from his work place. He walked into the shop, there were a few customer which, of course, wasn't a surprise of course. Benjamin, who Casey assumed was the guy who texted him earlier and was therefore an employee here, looked like he was dealing with another customer. Casey didn't really know what to do. He worked cash register so he assumed he'd be spending most of his time but he didn't know if there was, like, name tags or something to wear for this job. He shrugged it off, assuming there wasn't and went behind the counter to where the cash register was. He took a quick look at it and sat down, playing around with it. He pushed different buttons that looked weird to him and figured out what did what. Once that was done and he got a feel for it so he didn't look like a complete idiot when ringing other up he took a quick look at his phone to both check the time and see if Esme had texted him. He hadn't and now Case just felt a little desperate. He set his phone down and pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose. "This is boring, do something entertaining." Pedri said, but it sounded more like a demand. Casey rolled his eyes a little in response to the crazy voice in his head. He picked up his phone and started playing KleptoCats to help pass time.☄ ~ ★`✰

Hakem waited patiently as the much younger looking male defined what he thought vows were exactly, chucking and waving his hand dismissively as he said he wasn't an expert. The employee, who Hakem realized hadn't introduced himself so far, looked like he could be one of his students. He didn't expect such a boyish face to have that type of advice for someone perhaps nearly twenty years his senior. All he wanted was to be shown to a good book with tangible material. He was indeed given an answer, his eyes brightening as he realized ther was practically a whole manual at his disposal. "Excellent! I'll take one of those three copies, please." The man requested, promptly following behind as the blonde showed him the way to the cookbooks first. The store actually had less variety than he originally expected, it was small in wise so just how much could it offer anyway. Nodding and padding further down the isle, it took the wolf a quick five minutes to come back with two hardcover cookbooks, motioning with a smile for the half demon to continue leading. "After you."

The son of Paimon was glad to see the pleased reaction from the male wolf. Actually, it wasn’t his first time looking at someone who was so happy. Yosuke had always been the one to bring color into his life ever since the day he met his boyfriend at Soleil Library. It would always be pleasing to see his significant other smile, more so in his memories. He couldn’t help but to wonder if the elder also had someone who had become his significant other, or rather, the one that he would marry after some months would pass by.
He simply nodded as he resumed leading the way for the customer after the cookbooks had been picked up. Indeed, his hunch was right; he was definitely a wolf, based on the aura. He actually hadn’t seen a creature like that, and if the older man would show his animal form sooner or later, it would be his first time. But more on that at another time, since he had to assist him on the present matter.
The blond finally spotted the shelf where the reference book for the wedding vows had been placed. “Well, they they are,” he smiled as he pointed with his index finger. Again, it just another part of the job well done, but now, he had a inquiry. “I hope I won't mind asking, sir, but who's the lucky one who will become your spouse one day by the time you tie the knot?”

Hakem tucked his two books under one arm, discreetly proud of himself for remembering what kind of food Tori liked the best. Well, she was more partial to sea food, but he worked with what he was given. And since she was settling into shifting better (not completely, but certainly with less howls of pain in the middle of the day) he thought he should surprise her. Maybe a calming day would get them both off edge. Okay, he only felt off edge with his gun on his person, but that was a different issue. It was just too bad there wasn't a spa close by. Seeing the young blonde stop a few isles down and point at one of the shelves, Hakem followed his line of sight and gladly padded over. He pulled one down, flipping open the cover to take a look at the content. He was too focused on his mental prowling to give an attentive answer to the younger male. "My fiancé? She's new here- we both are. You wouldn't know her." He replied to the question of who, flipping a page and scanning the words quickly. A collection of wedding vows, hm? This was really only a one time use kinda book, he figured, and debated whether to buy it or check if the library had it in stock instead. He could always gift it...Eh, maybe not. Tyrese didn't need the help, Saul was already married, and Aaron was far from the type who wanted to marry. Aaron Jr. was still too young...Darius was far too naive. Ugh, if he bought this then it would only sit on his shelf for another ten years. The wolf grumbled to himself, flipping to the back cover as his brows furrowed deeply. "I'll bring her with me if I decide to return this. Thanks for your assistance." He concluded, adding the book with the others and combing his hair from his line of vision with his fingers.

By the time the bespectacled wolf replied to his inquiry about his future spouse, he simply nodded. “I see,” he replied that way because it would be too early to make an assumption on the woman he was referring to. Perhaps if he would encounter her in a random time, then the mage would see who she really was.
When the statement about the possible return of the book was mentioned, Ben just smiled, though deep inside, he was slightly disappointed in himself. It couldn't be helped, since customers were always right, except when the reasons and methods were questionable. “No problem, sir. Feel free to give us a call in case you are planning to return the book. That way, we'll be notified in advance.”

Hakem redirected his plumb orbs at the simplistic reply he recieved, a new smile inching on his face as he reached for his wallet. Realistically, it was none of this man's business who his fiancé was, but he sensed no harm in sharing a picture of them together. A photo from their last vacation, him with a pink floral style tourist-esque button-up on, and she grinning up past her ruby spectacles. The camera was a leveled slightly above them, angling down to their happy faces. He'd tossed up a pair of bunny ears behind her flame colored hair, though her teal eyes seemed to have a knowing look to them. He remembered he'd gotten a light elbow to the ribs as soon as the photo was snapped. Inching closer to the young man, Hakem brought the picture into view, his smile mellow in both remembrance and the beginnings of apprehensive regret. This was taken back when she was still human. Had giving in and changing her been the right choice? Afterall, she would have never been able to force him to do it. Deep down, he guessed, he knew the longing would drive her into dissatisfaction and depression. He thought maybe being more than human gave her securities back similar to the ones he cherished so much: power and control. She didn't have to fear her mother's sickness in the body she had now. Stil...he'd been content and accepting of the ginger the way she was. He felt wrong for changing such a large part of that, even if she did want it. The wolf sighed, not quite sure he long he'd been standing there before he straightened up and tucked the photo away. "Thanks again." He added, turning to find his way to the check out counter.

Ben was taken slightly aback when the wolf showed him the picture of the couple in his wallet. No doubt that those two in the photo were younger back then. The girl wearing the glasses with the clear lens held by the ruby red frame would definitely be the man’s special someone, based on his instinct. Now he could only imagine if he and Yosuke would imitate them, accomplishing fun things that couples would normally do. So far, there were only a few library visits, as well as chaste kisses exchanged every now and then when either of them would show up at their houses. If they were far away, texts and calls were conveyed. Every couple has its own way of spending time together, but still, the water mage couldn’t help but to feel envious.
Now I can imagine if… such future would be possible between us, Yosuke and me, I mean.
Knowing that the fashion designer was human, it’s inevitable that his boyfriend would kick the bucket sooner than him. He had no choice but to soak in the moments they would have together, while both were still alive. His thoughts were impeded when the bespectacled wolf spoke in gratitude as soon as the wallet was placed back into the pants pocket. He simply nodded and watched the customer depart towards the check-out counter with a partially absent expression, back to being lost in thought.
He was indeed an interesting man. Well, good luck with his future together with his soon-to-be wife.

~✰`★ ~ ☄Casey was tapping away at paws that popped up in bubbles on the game he was playing. He'd tap away at a few paws they'd pop and more would appear. Every 10 paws he tapped he'd earn 1 coin which was a weird system but he had 1,019 coins right now so he was doing pretty good. The tapping game ended and he decided to set his phone down to save battery. He swept the room real quick and first saw Benjamin looking his way with eyes that said nothing, he seemed to be off in his own place. He kept looking around and saw a blue haired dude standing by the counter holding two hardcover cookbooks and one paperback wedding book. He sat up straight in his seat. "Sorry, sir I didn't see you for a moment." He didn't think the blue haired customer was much older than him, they looked around the same age but he was trying to be professional here. He took a better look at the books two hard covers and one paperback, he grabbed a piece of paper and pencil. Hardcovers were $12.50 paperbacks where $7 12 plus 12 was 24 plus one from the two 50,s made 25 plus 7 was 39. "Okay, looks like your total is going to be 39 dollars flat." Casey explained setting down his pencil and looking back up at the customer.☄ ~ ★`✰

Hakem was replied with nothing but a nod and a glass-eye'd stare, one brow raising before he slowly turned on his heel and walked away. There was another employee at the counter, which supplied the slightest measure of relief as the wolf lifted his hand in greeting. "Howdy. That kid over there, the other hire who works here? He seems a little out of it. You may find it necessary to check on him." He informed, though this man seemed inattentive too. Humming uncertainly, he paid out his thirty-nine dollars and waited for his books to be bagged and handed to him. He peered back at the baby-faced adolescent, checking to see if he'd shaken himself into lucidity yet. That seemed like odd, if not slightly inappropriate behavior to exhibit during work hours and in front of customers, though Hakem calmly loaned some sympathy- perhaps he was having a bad day. You never knew what someone was going through. Thanking the cashier for his services, Hakem checked his phone for new alerts and exited the small bookstore.

~✰`★ ~ ☄Casey listened to the blue haired customer as he spoke. He looked back over at Benjamin who was still staring off into the distance lost in his own little world.Casey shrugged it off, just for a moment. "Yeah, i'll be sure to deal with the kid but first." He bagged scanned all three books put the money in the cash register and placed each book carefully in a brown paper bag with the word Bookworm printed onto it in large green text. He handed the customer his books and waved him out the door. He looks around to make sure there wasn't a line forming and he stood up and stuffed his phone in his pocket. He picked up his coffee mug and walked over to Benjamin, sipping at the hot, bitter sweet poison. He didn't really know what to do, or what line he could and could not cross. Touching other people has always been weird for him. He felt like they'd get way too close and they'd figure out his secret. Either way he very lightly gave Benjamin a push on his shoulder with the palm of his hand. "Hey, you doing alright?" He asked, blue eyes a mixture of curiosity and concern. "Look, I don't know if something's going on, bad day or whatever but if you need a break you can go back and pull together and I'll take over no problem." Casey offered taking another quick sip of his coffee.☄ ~ ★`✰

As the water mage busied himself arranging the books near the cookbook section, he was still lost in thought about his possible future with Yosuke. A light nudge on the shoulder snapped him out of his reverie, and he turned to see Casey beside him. When he asked about how he was doing, he smiled faintly.
"Ah sorry about that, Casey. Just thinking about some things. Plus, I do need to eat a light lunch. It's actually late now. I'll be at the back in case you need something." He then departed to the worker's area, the place restricted from customers for his short break. He was glad that he had packed some sandwiches for lunch today.

Cool Night ll Musician ll 21 ll $1000 ll Single(?)
Kurt, formerly known as Finn, had wandered away from his new home in Ombre to scourer the city a bit. This was supposed to be where he lived, but not a single thing looked familiar to him. Lily...No, Lillian, kept telling him that this was where he belonged but it didn't feel that way at all. In fact, he seemed to feel more out of place here than anywhere else. Maybe it was because of the fact that he had such severe memory loss and couldn't even remember the supposed wife he had. Or perhaps he just felt out of place because everyone else had their memories and knew who they were while he was struggling just to remember if his name really used to be Finn Teagan. Sighing softly, Kurt slowly slid his hands into his jean pockets and looked up from the sidewalk where he had been watching his feet the entire time as he thought. He didn't really feel like being coped up at home right now and had been thinking that maybe getting a book on the subject would help him learn how to work on getting his memory back. The best he had to work with were unrecognizable images that made his head hurt at nearly all hours of the day. He did get the occasional relief from them, but it seemed lots of things were able to spark some kind of hazy image to pulse through his mind like he was being hit with a jackhammer. And while he did want to know his past, getting such painful headaches all the time made him kind of weary to even bother trying. What would it be like once everything was restored to normal? Probably feel like he was getting hit by a mac truck. Either way, he had decided on trying to find a book on the subject so he could learn how to regain his memories on his own. Lillian didn't really seem to want to help him; something about the situation seemed to hit a wrong nerve on some level.
Finally looking up at what was around him, the honey brunette managed to notice a bookstore right in his path. Well, wherever his feet had been leading him, there was no point in going anywhere else since he had wanted to look into the subject more. He wasn't that hungry right now and he had a beer before he left home, so he was doing alright at the moment. Alcohol wasn't the best for quenching thirst, especially in the cold of winter still, but he was old enough so who really cared? That wasn't even the point of his outing! Shaking the quickly misleading thoughts on who gave a crap about the memory impaired guitarist, Kurt briskly made his way into the bookstore. Standing at the doorway, golden eyes took a moment to look around the cozy space before turning towards the front counter in hopes of asking for some help. Where was he even supposed to start on looking for books on memory loss? Self-Help? Illnesses? "Hey," he greeted with a half smile as he walked over to the counter. "I'm looking for books on memory loss and guitar music."

~✰`★ ~ ☄Casey kept with reorganizing the books slowly but surely making his way down the aisle. He heard the door open and he drew his attention that way, watching a male walk in who had brown hair and green eyes. He asked for a book on music and memory loss. "Odd combination." He thought to himself. "Well by guitar music do you mean, like, music sheets or maybe artists or different types of guitars and how they vary, and for memory loss are you trying to figure out how it occurs and how to regain it and such or..." He trailed off for a moment and shook his head. "Actually I think I saw something which dabbles in a little of everything for that. But for the music book I'm still going to need a little more" Casey explained going down the aisle the was working on until he found the paper back book. It was a dark blue and in large, white, serif sans fonted text it said "Memory Loss" then there was a thick white line and under that, same font smaller text, it read "What You Need to Know." Casey nodded down at the book and handed it to the man. "Here you are, one book on memory loss." Casey said and offered a kind smile.☄ ~ ★`✰
