k1llzerKeR actually walked past this tree, failing to realize that there were actually things to read on it. He was looking for stuff that glowed when you looked at it. Bobbing arrows. Maybe this was one of those survival horror games and suddenly humans would run out of the woods and try and spit on him and bite at him. This would be so much easier with a mission objective, preselected teammates, and a scope.

Stumbling upon a tree with stripes was an unexpected surprise. Her tail, missing some of its own stripes here and there, flicked back and forth as she stared up at the tree with bright-eyed awe.
"Salutations, tree! My name is Mimsy, and I am here to introduce myself," Mimsy greeted it, offering a wave. "I see that you have some very abnormal patterns on your bark! Would you mind enlightening me about them?"
"I beg your pardon!" The tree replied. Oh no. She had already offended a member of Wonderland's inevitably incredible ecosystem! Her smile began to fade, and it began to speak again.
"In here, everything is possible and anything is impossible, and therefore a tree with stripes is completely within everything and anything," it told her, changing its colors as if it were ruffling its feathers.. "Now, give me a good, good shake. I want to get some more color out. Shake me really well, if you do I'll reward you."
That request was...a little uncomfortable, but she supposed she would oblige, considering the apparently deep offense that she had caused. She touched it as impersonally as she could and used her forearms to shake it instead of clutching it with her hands; it seemed simply indecent to do it that way.
A fragment fell from the tree, which she collected with a little hm.

He walked close to a willow and suddenly was bombarded with leaves. Ack! owe owe, it stung. He backed up and waved his hands at it wildly. No battle mode, nor fireballs, but he was pretty sure he whacked a branch into submission, served it right.

The tree lacked a mouth, but the floating mouth did not lack. It spoke and told her of luck, a thing Lan never really needed, not when she had skill after all.

The blonde hatter wildly gestured for the other person (squinting at the name hovering over the figure) towards where she was, away from the showering leaves. Where... was she? By a striped tree?
Though she said nothing, the tree must have been so used to hearing it being called silly because it began to claim it wasn't silly. Then there was the request to be shaken and fouof figured the additional colors would stand out more. So fouof shook.
Hard.
And was rewarded with laughter and... a fragment? A fragment!
k1llzerKeR hesitated as he reached the next tree. ......... come back? Uncertainly, robotically, he shuffled off into the forest, counted to ten, and returned. He then spent the next ten minutes looking around and yelling out confused messages in ALLCAPS trying to figure out where the 'l00t' had gone. Finally, frustrated with everything he didn't understand, he stomped back to the sign, giving up his search.

Belatedly, when she was already quite far from the striped-and-offended tree, Mimsy discovered that the tree had offended her.
At the same time, she discovered a tree that appeared to be more signs than tree. Each sign had only one word written on it, and the mind of humanoid creatures did love to find patterns, so she looked for one. This Way To Nowhere and Everywhere. That sounded nice.
She paused her thoughts and wrinkled up her nose, returning to her disappointment with her realization. It was rude of it to assume that she was entirely ignorant about Wonderland. Very rude. Had it not recognized her name? Did the nonce phrasing used in the 'Jabberwocky' not apply here?
Of course she knew that a concept as thrilling as everything was possible here. Of course she knew that something as mundane as anything was impossible.
Of course she knew.
That was her favorite part.

He liked nice dreams. It was bright and peaceful and sunny, but certainly strange, as all dreams were, as he found himself tumbling down a rabbit hole. Down, down, down he went, and he soon landed, with a bottle appearing right in front of him.
His curiosity got the better of him, of course and he did what he was told. To drink it.
And drink it, he did, and he found himself waking up to a new name, new ears, and a new purpose.

fouof gave light a grin and a wave before pointing to her name above her head and shrugging as if saying she didn't mind what he decided to call her. As for the fragment, she quickly slipped it into her coat pocket and took her hat off in a bow.
Hades found himself in front of a broken tree that was sobbing away.
"I'm so very sad", it said. "So, so very sad indeed. I left my glasses around here and now I can't find them. Can you help me out?"
"Um... sure!"
It was then he realized that he himself had glasses too. Huh.

Hades tried offering the tree his own glasses, but it just wailed, and he decided it was best to simply back away.
