"Meh, it's all right - I've never been the mushy type, and neither is Phobius, what with him being emotionally stunted and all. We know we care, that's good enough for us," Eris answered with a shrug and a small smile.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Miss Hermione, Miss Kitty, Mister Harry," Shadow greeted them. Seeing that they didn't need his help, he turned questioningly to Katherine's and Hermione's families.
Phobius turned to Hermione. "Perhaps it would be best for you and me to just head inside now so Mother can get the inevitable interrogation out of the way?" he suggested.

Eris smiled, clapping Hermione on the shoulder. "Attagirl. I'm not going to give you special treatment just because I like you though. Phobius, the aura-suppressing runes are up, feel free to drop the glamour once you get inside." With that, she led Hermione to a fair-sized room that looked like it was used for meetings, leading her to a seat before sitting down across from her. "All right, I've been doing a little digging into your background, and so far, I haven't come across any references to Dumbledore (may he rot in the deepest, darkest, and most torturous pits of Hell) beyond what's expected for a student of Hogwarts, what with him being the headmaster and all. I also have no doubt about you being good enough for Phobius, because otherwise he wouldn't be interested in you in the first place," Eris told her. "That being said, I'm not taking any chances, so I'm going to be interrogating you just to make sure, as well as checking for any possible prejudices that might cause problems in your and Phobius's relationship. If you consciously attempt to lie to me, that particular chair you're sitting in has runes carved into it that will shock you painfully. If you're just misinformed or are holding beliefs that happen to be false - that's false from an objective standpoint, mind you, not false from my standpoint, since I freely admit to being a person with some pretty strong viewpoints - you'll get only a lighter, non-painful shock to let you know you're wrong. Any questions before we start?"
Meanwhile, Harry entered the building with Katherine, Phobius and the others, Shadow the house-elf bringing in the Muggles' luggage. Once inside, Phobius allowed the glamour he kept up at all times to drop, revealing pointed ears, slitted pupils, and sharp teeth. Glancing over at the Muggles, he spoke before they started asking about his appearance. "Before you ask: I'm not entirely human, though I assure you I am, in fact, sentient. This is what I really look like. Normally I'd also be emitting a terror-inducing aura once I dropped my glamour - that's what lets me look human normally - but the house has runes to absorb the aura. Any other questions?"

Phobius shivered a little, blushing ever-so-slightly. "Please don't rub them like that... they're, ah, sensitive," he murmured, gently but firmly taking her hand off his ear.

Eris smiled. "Well, I'll see what I can do, but for the moment, my main concern is you and Phobius. First question, just to make absolutely sure: have you or your family ever associated with Dumbledore in any way whatsoever outside of you being a student at Hogwarts and/or any manipulations he might've tried on you?"

Eris nodded. "Yeah, that sounds like something the old coot would do. All right, I'm satisfied that you aren't secretly in league with Dumbledore or anything, so next question: exactly how do you feel about the Dark Arts? It's not like I'm trying to convert you to the dark side or anything," Eris added, "but both Phobius and I have a pretty heavy alignment for the Dark Arts, and I need to know whether that's going to be a problem. Mind you, if you do decide to convert, I wouldn't exactly object - we need more Dark witches and wizards who are perfectly sane, decent people instead of being megalomaniacal psychos like Moldyshorts and Grindelwald."

Harry similarly let Hedwig out of her cage, the prideful snowy owl choosing to similarly perch on Harry's shoulder. "So... what now?"
Then there was a distinctive smell of smoke, shortly followed by gleeful shouts of, "Yes! BURN, in the name of Garyx! Fill the world with pretty pretty flames!"
Phobius sighed. "Well, I don't know about you two, but I think I should probably make sure Mitis doesn't burn the house down." He turned and started walking over, calling, "Mitis, we've talked about this! You do not burn other people's belongings unless they belong to Dumbledore or his puppets!"
"Bah, I say, BAH! Garyx demand lots and lots of burning sacrimifices!" Mitis shouted back with an impressive amount of righteous indignation even as Phobius reached his location.
"Then burn something that doesn't belong to me or Mother! You have a whole stock of flammable objects expressly given to you to practice this obscure fire-related religion of yours on! Aguamenti!"
"Well, yes, but Mitis need to save those for Winter Solstice a.k.a. All-Consuming Night - Mitis supposed to make big bonfire and throw lots of flammable stuff in it!"
"...You're just looking for an excuse to set things on fire, aren't you?"
"No! ...Okay, yes, but is legitimate part of Mitis's religion! Besides, since when does Mitis need excuse?"
Harry stared blankly in the general direction of the argument. "...This is going to be one of those days where we wonder when we fell down a rabbit hole headfirst, isn't it?" Harry finally asked Katherine with a sigh.

"Wasn't planning on it," was Eris's reply to that last comment. "All right, last question: exactly how much has Phobius told you about the... other side of his parentage?"

(Meh, Cyndaquil's cuter... though personally, my favorite starter is Froakie, and my favorite overall Pokémon is Crobat.)

Mitis sulked at not being able to burn anything, and Phobius sighed. "Confusa filled up her litterbox too much again. Take it outside, and you can burn that." Hey, it saved him the trouble of having to clean the damn thing out - Confusa pooped a LOT more than the average cat.
Mitis beamed before zipping away, not doubt to burn the cat poop.
Harry just sighed again as he followed his crush... before jumping slightly in shock as a loud, hair-raising roar echoed throughout the area a few moments after Mitis had left. "What the hell was that?!?"
"That was the dragon that lives in the forest nearby. It's rather friendly and a lot more intelligent than most dragons, if a bit overly vicious," Phobius answered calmly.
Harry stared incredulously at Phobius. "And you let Mitis go out there?"
"Naturally - how do you think the dragon got here in the first place? I certainly didn't bring it over."

"Of course. He really needs to learn that he shouldn't give a ******** what other people think of him," Eris noted with an exasperated expression before shaking her head and getting back on topic. "All right, you passed my inspection. I assume Phobius mentioned what would happen if either of you tried to take advantage of the other or if you got pregnant? I'll give you a hint: it involves the offender's reproductive organs and me holding a rusty spoon on fire."

(And I'm sure that has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Blaziken's the only Pokémon with a Mega form AND Speed Boost. xd )

"Good, as long as you understand the consequences should anything happen," Eris decided. "On that note, I do believe your friends are heading out to see the dragon next door. If you hurry, you should be able to catch up with them."

Naturally, Harry came along since he was curious as well, and Phobius came along because he found this all greatly amusing and because he wanted to make sure they didn't get lost.
Once they got there, the dragon was revealed to be a Hungarian Horntail... or rather, some subspecies, since there were a few differences: mainly that it lacked the spikes all Hungarian Horntails had, that it was only the size of a large warhorse as opposed to the standard large-house size, and that it seemed to be a dragon/avian hybrid of some sort: its wings were those of a bird with feathers matching its firelike scales, it had a line of red feathers running down its back to its tail, and its legs seemed built more like a bird's than a reptile's.
The dragon turned to face the newcomers, revealing fiery eyes that gleamed with a shrewd and mischievously playful intelligence, though under that you could clearly see the steel spine of a survivor of the wild. All in all, it was a truly awe-inspiring sight.
After a moment, an awestruck Harry spoke. "...Bloody hell..." The dragon just made a small noise that sounded suspiciously like a chuckle, obviously amused by the awestruck boy's reaction.
Phobius smiled. "According to Mitis, he's called a Scottish Firespawn. He's a crossbreed of a Hungarian Horntail, a Peruvian Vipertooth, a salamander, and a phoenix, among other things. He's the only one of his kind in the world," he told his friends quietly as they looked upon the dragon, the dragon studying them silently in turn.

Phobius blushed slightly. "Thanks," he murmured shyly; idly, he mused that he should probably warn her about the "sensitive ears" thing... on the other hand, it felt so good when she rubbed it like that...
The dragon seemed to consider this a moment, then nodded, flipping Katherine onto its back using its snout before taking flight with impressive speed.
