Maybe not quite ready enough, she lost sight of it and was suddenly slammed from behind. She gasped and managed to avoid it's claws but had to cough and try and regain her breath before scrambling back to her feet quickly. Why that dirty tricky...ugh!

Pride mixed with hatred as the demon mascot came from the side and swiped it's claws along her leg. She tried to grab it's wing but only managed to rake her claws against the edge. It unbalanced it, but didn't stop it. She looked around paranoid now and trying to determine where it's next attack would come from.

This time the beholder dropped in from above, Sin managed to jump up and grab it's wing in her claws. They struggled for a moment the beholder clawing at her arm while she tried to keep it ground-bound. Finally she had to release before it managed to take her arm with it. She fell back panting and grinned as it flew away wobbly.

Sin watched the demon mascot return and try to attack, it landed hard against her leg. She reached down and started to claw it apart, it was weak now and while it's flailing did cause her more injury she ignored it.

Sin was about to rip it's eye out, the last blow against the demon mascot but her claws froze as it blinked up at her, true it was still mauling her wrist but she couldn't do it.

She knelt on the floor of the battle area cradling the demon mascot and letting it ravage her arm in it's death throes. It's one big eye blinked up at her with such misery how could she do it?

Sin cringed, the clawing at her arm throbbed and robbed her of thought. She looked down sadly and then with a curse she shoved her claws down and ripped the mascots eye away shoving it from her and turning her back as it finally died. She looked down at her ravaged arm and sighed, the demon mascot put up a jack damned good fight. It hurt to have had to do that.

All this changing of outfits would normally have been oodles of fun for Belladonna, but as the night wore on she was starting to get just the tiniest bit nervous. It was all very silly reasoning of course, but the ghoul was just a tad bit superstitious and could not honestly help the feeling. So though it was a bit of an inconvenience to have to go change back into her cute little track jacket before the fight, the witch was very glad to have the opportunity to put her nervous energy to good use.
Right off the bat the witch summoned her Death Knight, not even bothered when the little chimera she was dueling waited until her fighter was gone before it growled at her and swiped at her leg. No matter! This was going to be a piece of cake!

Smiling all the while, the witch shot out a card at the little monster, giggling when she struck her target. Since she felt extra mischievous right now, Belladonna skipped forward in attempt to give the chimera a pat on the head. Naturally it bit her fingers, but she only grinned at it all the more as she set her cards upon it and after a few more hits it vanished. "Most excellent." The witch murmured to herself in a delighted purr before she curtseyed to no one in particular and was off on her merry way. By now, West had figured out that the ghoul's happy cackles were having some sort of unexpectedly positive effect on him. It was almost... JOYful. He was going to have to figure out a way to get her to do so more often without being too obvious about it, but for now he returned her smile with a smirk, meeting her inspection with a surprising level of restraint. Normally, he might have scowled or taken her hand again as she released his. Instead he bore her scrutiny with a bit of curiosity and his pleased little grin. "You scraped up at all?" he asked, his tone implying that the question was rhetorical. His smirk slowly smoothed into an irritated line as he looked around at the fighting that was still going on. He didn't see anyone who looked like they might have been judging this event, but that didn't mean they weren't being watched. Probably not a good idea to go looking for another fight then. "We should get outta here."

Rolling up her sleeves and giving the monster a wide fiery grin Kier shouted, "FINALLY, much better." Getting on all fours her tail twitched in the air as before she raced towards the monster and leaping onto its arm and sunk her nails into the hide.
"Tsk.." She hissed as she barely broke the skin enough to cause bleeding.

Leaping up, Kier sunk her teeth into the monster's shoulder before letting go and flipping backwards onto the ground. This was going to be easy, for the most part she hoped.

This time Kier ran for the monster's knee digging her claws into the knees, however instead of drawing any blood she chipped one of her nails.

She hissed at the monster, she hadn't counted on the hide being so tough it almost made her regret taking on one of the toughest creatures. Lumbering forward the monster swung it hefty paw at her as she ran forward leaping up onto its knee and swiping her hand across its chest. It groaned in pain as it took a step back.
