Lillian looked to the golden eagle and smirked in an impressed way as the bird looked as if nodding in reply to Adrian. As soon as the eagle took off Lillian returned her gaze to Adrian. "I probably should... though I almost don't want to... I could stay up, talking all night, though it'd not be all that good an idea probably... And I wouldn't want to keep you up, since I know you probably want to get to sleep. And I can sleep in my own bed. If I sleep in here and you take my bed, well that'd be kinda, well you know? And Roxy wouldn't know what to do without me, since she sleeps at the end of my bed." she said, laughing softly at the last part. She yawned, stretching before she walked to Adrian, gave him a kiss on the cheek as if it was the normal thing in the world; as if she'd been doing that forever, before heading to her room to catch some Z's. As she walked to her room she noticed that the rug in the hallway was rumpled and bunched up at the end near the stairs. Her eyes widened as a thought came to her mind. 'Linda... the night maid... If she heard me and Adrian talking I'm so dead and Adrian'll have to leave... I have to stop her...' she thought, sneaking to her room, dropping the bathrobe on her bed and creeping down the stairs, wearing her favorite t-shirt and shorts that she always wore to bed, making sure to miss all the ones that creaked when stepped on. She was not going to let that creepy old maid ruin everything just because she'd been talking to Adrian after dark and after most in the house were already sleeping.

Adrian shrugged at Lillian's reply, fairly sure it would seem awkward though he had a sense that things were going to get really startling soon enough. He wasn't sure why that bothered him, but his gut instincts told him that it would be rough very soon.

As Lillian's foot touched the bottom step she looked around the corner and saw the old hag that had caught her talking to Adrian after hours and she was sitting in a chair. "You were just waiting for something like this to happen weren't you? Well, if you tell my father then I swear to you I'll be sure you lose your job you bat." she said, her voice very aggressive, similar to how she had spoken to her father earlier that night. However, there seemed to be something strange, very strange. As she crept over to Linda she bit her tongue hard to keep from screaming. Somehow the old maid was sitting in the chair her eyes open and there was a trickle of blood coming from her neck as if someone had stabbed her, yet there were very small marks that almost appeared to be bitemarks. "What the...? H-how did this..." she asked, nearly crying as she thought of how old Linda had been something of a friend, other than the fact that she'd tried to get Lillian into trouble up to her eyeballs. "Don't be frightened. I promise that I've had my fill." said an almost icy voice from behind Lillian; yet there was something strangely familiar about the voice. As she turned around she saw that it was her neighbor from a few houses down, the house that happened to be where the orange kitten had come from. "Little Pogo here told me about your meet up with him. He's a naughty kitten, yet he means no harm. And he also happened to be in the house and caught old Linda here trying to get you into trouble." her neighbor said as he looked at the mess that he'd made, knowing he should probably clean it up. "Well... Yeah... But you shouldn't have done this to her... I mean how the heck did you get in here...?" she asked, thinking to herself, wondering just how many vampires and things like that were in the world and how many she actually knew personally. This one, who was supposedly her neighbor seemed nice enough, though she remembered all too well what had happened the last time she fell for that and she wasn't going to be that stupid again. She took a shaky breath and tried conveying her thoughts to Adrian, 'Can you get down here now Adrian...? There's a neighbor of mine, a vampire and he says that he doesn't want to hurt me, though I remember thinking that I was safe around those who claimed to be cousins, yet they, in the end tried to kill me...' Her eyes never left the man she had known since she was a child, who she thought was a normal guy, though now she knew that she was probably wrong, again. There was a semi-bloodthirsty look in the man's eyes, yet he was fairly full from killing the old maid, so Lillian was safe, for now.

Adrian frowned slightly as he focused, feeling his body disperse into the air and travel to where he heard the male voice clearly coming from, though he knew it would seem that he hadn't heard Lillian. "I'm here, and if he attacks it will be the last thing he does," he whispered into Lillian's mind, his voice very soft and low though it didn't seem as if he was there at all. For him, it was an extremely unusual sensation to know his body was part of the air yet be able to 'see' everything clearly.

Lillian kept her eyes on the man that had apparently broken into her house to try 'helping' her. She wasn't sure just what he wanted, though what she did know was that he did seem to keep his attention focus on her a lot, even if it was from afar. It wasn't clear just why he was trying to help her or whatever it was, though she was not impressed by his actions, not even in the slightest. Hearing Adrian speaking into her mind she gave a reply, "I think that everything is all right for now, though I don't know how long it'll stay that way..." the tone she used to reply to Adrian with sounded a bit shaken, due to what she had just witnessed. She watched every move that her neighbor made and she fidgeted as she watched him moving closer, yet he wasn't moving in a threatening manner. "Lillian, I need to ask you something," he said, pausing before closing the gap between him and the frightened, emotionally compromised girl before him. He placed a hand on her shoulder gently as he began speaking again. "Why are you talking to that boy? I saw what he did to those others, so I don't know that I like him; however, even though we've not formally met or spoken, I find you to be a very kind-hearted and pleasant person to be around. I can just tell these things you know..." he said, a cool smile crossing his face. He leaned down some and looked Lillian in the eye, looking as if he were about to kiss her, yet he was actually doing his so that he could manipulate her mind and try stealing her away from her family; and more importantly, at least to him, Adrian. Lillian tried fighting the thoughts that were being forced in to her mind, yet she wasn't strong enough and she was just barely able to cry out for help mentally, praying that Adrian was able to hear her, seeing as her mental voice was nearly shrouded, due to her vampire neighbor's influence on her mind. It seemed as the vampire had intercepted that call out to Adrian, and assumed that he might be somewhere close. He always loved a bit of a risk and he wanted to see just how far that he could push the younger man before he finally broke and tried doing something rash. Smirking he knew just what would do the trick, seeing as he knew what seemed to be felt between the two teenagers. He placed his icy lips to Lillian's and he kissed her passionately, though it was a very dull passion because he did not feel anything real for her. All that he wanted was to anger Adrian and he wanted to extend his families riches, which he knew that he could do through getting Lillian under his thumb. Even though he was a vampire, he truly was the son of her neighbor and it was known by Lillian that he couldn't just go missing or there would be news of it all over the papers, news and everything and she was able to get out a mental message to Adrian trying to tell him to try staying calm and to not kill her neighbor's son, even if he was a vampire and no matter how impossible it might seem for him to keep back. As she came to herself she felt horrible for letting this happen and when she was finally allowed to pull away she wiped her mouth, though that didn't help anything at all. "Get out of my house and I'll pretend this never happened, well I can't exactly go about acting like you never killed Linda and that you never kissed me, which was terrible by the way. Oh, and you probably seriously angered my boyfriend. And you should already know that you already have made me angry." she snapped, though tried keeping her voice down as she did so, her eyes glaring at her neighbor and if there could have been there'd have been lazers shooting from them, she'd have vaporizing the scum that had probably ruined her life. She saw the man's eyes narrow before he seemingly vanished into nothingness in an instant; back to his house of course. Although it had felt like ages to Lillian it had truly only been about a moment or two, perhaps a tad bit more in which everything had occured. She had gotten the message not to kill her neighbor's son, though she wasn't sure where Adrian was and she didn't know if he'd listen to her or not, not after seeing that display. All that she knew was that she had to figure out what to do about Linda and try to rid herself of the sick feeling that was boiling in the pit of her stomach, due to the maid's death and fear of what might happen between her and Adrian. She knew that it was stupid to get so upset over someone that she barely knew, though she ended up breaking down into tears, falling to her knees, not knowing what to think or do.

Adrian materialized with a soft whisper as Lillian dropped to her knees, catching and supporting her with his own body. "It's okay... I don't know her yet I do know that she didn't deserve to die that way.. nobody does," he murmured softly. He had been able to tell that though to most the neighbor's kiss would have looked passionate and pleasant he had noticed keenly that while his movements signaled an outward form of passion, his body language said the precise opposite.

Lillian was silently sobbing into her hands as she thought about what she was going to do next. Her heart ached for the maid that had died. She was also thinking of what might be said or done about her neighbor kissing her like he had. It wasn't like she'd enjoyed it, though she was afraid that Adrian might get jealous or something. She knew that she shouldn't think like that but it crossed her mind and she kept replaying that over and over in her mind. As she was caught by Adrian she sobbed into his chest and apologizing for letting that happen. She had tried fighting it, though she felt that she wasn't strong enough and that had she been alone and of not for the vampire from two houses down having his fill already, it would have been all over for her. "I--I just wish that I could have gotten downstairs faster... I have no clue of what I could have done... Although, if I would have gotten to her faster I may have been the one dead... And I am so sorry that he did that... I didn't like it I swear..." she said in a very faint voice, yet she was able to be heard; she knew that Adrian had probably heard her thoughts about the kiss, though she felt that she had to voice them to be sure that he knew she meant it.

Adrian rubbed her back gently; he wasn't sure what to do with the body, but knew the vampire had been trying to get under his skin. "I know he was trying to get under my skin and hopefully piss me off enough to leave you alone... he underestimates that I'm far from stupid, and his thoughts were so loud they might as well have been in neon," he said quietly, hugging her a bit tighter but keenly aware of his above average strength.

Silent sobs racked Lillian's body as she pressed into Adrian, trying to keep her mind off of Linda. Although, when she heard mention of the body she just cried harder. "I-- I just wish that... I want to make that evil man take it back but I know it can't be done..." she sobbed, not caring that Adrian was hugging her a bit more tightly than she'd have liked; however, she did find comfort in it. "Oh... You said that his thoughts were so loud that they could have been neon... What do you mean by that and what was going through that sick mind of his?" she asked her voice quivering some as she moved an arm up, wiping her face, trying to rid it of tears.

Adrian lightly loosened his hug on Lillian, sensing her discomfort though she hadn't mentioned it. "I mean I could sense his thoughts, and most of them were revolving mainly around manipulating you... to get your family's money... some of them I did my best to ignore, though," he said quietly, deciding not to mention some of the darker, more... brutal thoughts he'd picked up on. He gently lifted her into his arms and carried her up the stairs towards the bedrooms. The fact that she was weeping for a woman she obviously wasn't fond of was a very good thing in his mind. "Even when she doesn't like someone, she's generous enough to care about them," he thought, unconsciously whispering the thought into Lillian's mind without really realizing it.

_Hoshiyuri_ Lillian wasn't sure how she'd go on with the image of Linda there dead in the chair seared into her brain, yet she held onto Adrian as he picked her up and spoke. His voice was very calming to her and she was glad to have him there to comfort and protect her. Although before now she'd not have known that she needed so much protection from the world and she really appreciated the fact that her father had been trying to protect her. "I can believe that... That's mostly why guys at school look at me... They think they'll get rich because of me, though I turn them down when they ask and now I have even more reason to say no." she said as she rested her tired head on Adrian's shoulder. She heard his thought and she was almost thinking of replying, though she wasn't sure that he'd really meant for her to hear it, so she said nothing. She was too tired anyhow to say anything more that night and if not for fear of what her father might do she even thought about just falling asleep in Adrian's room to feel safer. And what would it hurt to let Roxy in the guest room for one night? She thought to herself as she hugged Adrian.

Adrian took a slow deep breath as he paused near Lillian's room, glancing towards where he heard the low soft snores of her parents clearly. "They may look at you that way, but you know as well as I do that I won't," he murmured as he quietly opened the door as Roxy darted out before he closed it behind the husky, obviously having sensed what had happened, though how he wasn't sure. He walked to his own room and went inside, not really caring if they were found in the morning or not; he doubted it would be a problem as he habitually tended to wake up either before or a short time after dawn and he was almost certain her father wouldn't be up for a while after that had passed.

Lillian slowly nodded off and she cuddled closer to Adrian. She felt something wet and cold touching her hand, yet she knew that it was Roxy's nose because that was the way that she always tried to get Lillian's attention when she was asleep. She wasn't aware that Adrian was taking her to his room to sleep, though once she woke up in the morning she knew that she'd not mind at all, due to that being what she'd wanted in the first place. She knew that if anyone found them in the same room there would be words said, though since they'd both be wearing clothes it didn't seem like there'd be much room for accusations; however, knowing her father he'd probably try to "get blood from a turnip".

Adrian laid her on the bed and flicked the covers over her as he slid in on the other side, lying on his back though he was mildly surprise to find that Lillian had curled up right next to him with her head on his chest as he felt Roxy hop onto the bed as he fell into a deep sleep.
He shifted, his eyelids fluttering as he spotted the low sunlight streaming in the window. He unconsciously gauged the time to be 5:40 AM, well aware his estimate was within three minutes from years of figuring it out.

Being as it was that Lillian got to bed really late she wanted to sleep all day, yet she was rudely awoken by Roxy who was making a racket by whining and softly yowling. She did not want to get up and knew that Roxy was only doing this to be let outside, though she felt that she should do it and not bother Adrian, whoo seemed to be asleep. Groaning and slinging her legs over the side of the bed she staggered to her feet and slipped on her slippers that were laying on the floor right next to the bed. "Come on girl..." she said, her words being muffled by a big yawn. 'What time is it...?' she thought, stretching and trying to wake up enough to go downstairs, yet she stopped and shuddered at the image of Linda sitting in that chair. 'Maybe I could take her into the elevator...' she thought, turning to go that way, though she had only just left the room as she remembered what was downstairs.
