Cornelius looked up at the sky and noticed the sun was directly overhead of them. "We could stay out here in the sun I suppose if we wanted to, but I think we should head back. Too much sun exposure is bad for us dragons and it's directly overhead."

He lowered his head and looked into her eyes saying, "I hope everything was all right for you. You looked like for a moment you were in some pain." He had noticed she was rubbing her back a moment ago and decided to step behind her and start rubbing it himself for her. He placed his hands on it and had not realized how smooth it was until now. He definitely could feel some pulled muscle in there as he put his hands on the lower portion of her back.

"Honey, do you think we've had too many children at one time? I'm touching your back here and I almost feel like you'll bend in two if you're not careful. We need to do something about your weight possibly. Maybe give you a little support up front to make sure you don't fall over." He chuckled and smiled hoping once again she wouldn't take his comments the wrong way. He was really concerned with her health since he had a feeling his children could end up being larger than her in the long run. That would certainly mean that they were pretty large now as well.

Cornelius listened to to her talk and then stopped rubbing her back as he heard what she was saying. He felt her squeeze his hand and looked down at the ground for a moment. Then he looked her in the eyes and frowned.

"I'm truly sorry I got you into this situation. I really, really love you, but I never exactly expected us to have a problem with this many children. I don't want you to feel uncomfortable certainly and that's why I've been trying to help you. Yet, at the same time you've put on so much weight already I'm getting kind of worried if we can actually use this place as a nesting ground. We'll talk about it when we get home, but I may have to go out pretty far to get a lot of the food we need."

Cornelius definitely did agree to help her and let her rest his arm on his shoulder so they could walk together at least back to the front of the cave. It was luckily not far on foot in their human forms. "I get the sense..." he continued as he walked, "That not only will the pregnancy have the number of children I have told you already and the number of months I indicate, but also cause you to crave a huge amount of food like I've also suggested. I'm not sure what else could happen, although, I'm pretty sure dragons have a ton of problems during pregnancy."

He felt he was talking far too much again, but he really thought he needed to. Warning his wife of her issues would help her be less scared. He could see as they walked that one thing that certainly was clear is that the clothing she wore to him looked tighter on her than it was supposed to be. Pregnancy often caused clothes to stretch, but the weight she spoke of on the front of her belly was clearly, in his mind, from it having stretched further than he or she had probably expected it to. He walked and finished his list of problems for her and placed his free hand on her belly. Rubbing it would calm Janis down, so he did.

Cornelius smiled at his wife as she spoke of her plans and worries and felt his hand against his as he rubbed her belly. "Changing back into your dragonic form sounds fine for tomorrow. You really seem up to this life style, so how about you definitely join me tomorrow for some hunting. You won't be far along looking in that form, so you'll definitely be able to move around."

He brushed his hand against her black hair and kissed her on the lips whispering, "You're probably super tired due to the limited energy your body has left in your current form. So go rest for tonight and things should work out okay for tomorrow. As for the nest, I think we're fine as it is probably." He then lifted Janis up onto his back and carried her inside their home.

Cornelius laid her down on their bed and then changed into his human form before crawling up onto the bed and laying next to her. "You're tired, so no more talking we need our sleep as you've said, 'A comfortable house is what you want...'" essentially paraphrasing her words. His body snuggled up against hers and in the future, as he fell asleep, he wondered what this situation would be like.

Cornelius woke up to the sound of Janis's voice speaking over him. He sat up and noticed light coming in through the entrance of the cave and said, "Well, I suppose I should be up now, but don't you want to sleep a whole lot more?" He spoke with a tired tone and droopy eye lids that almost looked like they would shut again at any moment.

"Why don't you go get breakfast for yourself. I'm not hungry this morning." He stated, reaching out his hand and patting her on the shoulder.

Cornelius had slept for a good long while, but when he heard the foot steps coming from the entrance of the cave he rolled out of bed and dragged himself over to Janis. "Did you find yourself something good to eat? You need to keep yourself healthy for the children." he stated as he headed out towards the cave's exit.

"I think I will be going out to get us some more food." he added as he spread his wings and flew off to hunt. He would not come back for another two hours, but when he did he would bring with him a two large deer he had managed to get.

Cornelius walked in on her pacing about and licked his lips. He had killed three caribou on his trip and eaten them before dragging the two deer home with him. When he got into the nursery he plopped himself down and started to eat them over the warm hard rocks. He was quite quick in eating them and soon had a pile of bones at his feet within minutes. He crawled over to where Janis was and smiled at her saying, "Trying to find a spot for your nest? You should put it in the center of the room. That way it can be easily displayed for all to see."

He stood up and puffed out his chest, "Plus they'll be easy to take care of from there."
