Icarius jumped slightly as the shotgun let off its first shot, because he hadn't seen Coralone come out of the shop, and he'd never heard a shotgun before. He smirked under his helmet at the results of the shotgun, but he was already planning a way to get out of this mess. These creatures, though they looked human, paid no mind to those falling around them, and just kept coming. In one way, Icarius admired their determination, but at the same time he knew that they had no control over what they were doing; they didn't plan, and just did. That one fact made him less inclined to get close to them, because an enemy that felt no pain and had no plan was unpredicable.
As Xavier got beside him with his small pistol, Icarius glanced around before he said, "They are slow, we'll run. Get somewhere high so we can pick them off one by one..." Icarius moved towards the side of the building and looked down the alley, spotting a small fire escape on the building. "Over here! We'll go up... that way," he shouted, though not knowing what a fire escape was, he did realize that whatever that was would allow them access to the roof. "Come on!"
He took a few more shots at the zombies with his plasma gun before ushering Coraline and Xavier over. If they got picked up by Zombies he would do the only merciful thing he knew how to do; shoot them so they wouldn't become one of those monstrosities.

Icarius suggested they get up high. For the first time since the outbreak, Xavier fired a gun. His finger pulled hard on the trigger, and the gun kicked. He wasn't expecting it, but he didn't lose his balance. The nearest infected, a grotesque being with a few strands of straw colored hair, collapsed on the ground with a large chunk of it's head missing.
Xavier grinned to himself, but then took off running behind Icarius, with Coraline hot on his heels. He looked and saw Icarius was ascending the fire escape. He grabbed the cold bars and began to pull himself up. "Be careful!" He called down to Coraline. A few of the zombies seemed to notice they were gone. Xavier peered down the alley toward the street, and saw a handful of them stumbling stupidly towards them.
Xavier managed to reach the top of the roof, just behind Icarius. Breathing heavily, he took a seat on the edge of the building, gathering his thoughts. Coraline appeared shortly after. She looked shaken up, but unharmed nonetheless.
"You okay?" Xavier asked Coraline. He didn't ask Icarius; to be honest he didn't really care. Icarius had already demonstrated he was more than capable of taking care of himself.

Jasmine Langdon Glares at both of them. Acting so nice... But as soon as the doctor is telling the people on the other end of the walkie talkie she screams, "Don't do it! Please don't!" She glares at the doctor, "What is your real intention?" She asks this as soon as Alice leaves. "What are you planning to do? You can't go off.. Drugging people.. And I read you.. You aren't good." Words flowed out her mouth. "The nurse doesn't know, does she? She thinks this is all helpful... but you.. You have other intentions. What are they? You can't fool me... No one can, Doctor." She snorts the last word with disgust. [[Sorry if it's not enough or slow... I've had a rough day but I don't want Jas left out and behind too much...]

Coraline climbed on the ladder once she was close to the roof she checks her shotgun and puts it on safty and throws it to the roof. Once she got to the top she pulls herself up. She puts her hands on her knees panting and shaking.Coraline looks at Xavier "yeah I'm fine. Just shaking from the gun... and zombies."Coraline gets her hands off her knees and sits down."I never really shot a gun before... Especially a shotgun, thing had quite a kick."Coraline laughs softly. She looks down the street seeing the apartment "how are we going to get back?"Coraline looks at Xavier and Icarius hopeing they knew how.{sorry I stole you color blue. "People might look at you a bit funny, but it's okay..."As Iridaeon moved out of the alley, he took a right to pass by the video store from a distance to look at the zombie horde that had appeared. "There are hundreds of them." He noticed two or three figures climbing up on top of the roof. "They must be survivors. They've trapped themselves on that roof, they can't possibly kill all of those zombies." Iridaeon stopped to analyze the situation. His eyes burned red as he stared at the street and pathways surrounding the video store. "The zombies could move through the gangways and reach the ladder, their only way to escape, other than down through the store, which is way too dangerous with all those zombies... I need to block their entrance to the alley if I want to save these people."Iridaeon doubled back and went into the alley behind the video store. There was a large dumpster to be collected by the waste management service, but it looks like they haven't collected in a while. There were two long wooden platforms next to the dumpster that might act as a barrier against the zombies. He grabbed one and wedged it into the gangway. Luckily, it was slightly too big, so he was able to make it so that it would withstand some force. He took the other platform and stuck it in the other gangway. "Hey, you! Down here!", he quietly called to the roof. "Artists are allowed to be a bit different." - Bob Ross

I know I can't technically die,... But I would much rather not get torn apart, and I'm certainly not invincible. I've reduced their numbers a bit. Time to retreat. The greyhound forged a path toward the hospital doors, clawing and biting zombies who got in her way. The remainders of the pink dress slid off her back as she finally made it through. Oh dear, I seem to have a slight wardrobe problem... Again. She shook her head. In hindsight, I may have bitten off a bit more than I can really chew...Emmerah grabbed at the pink strips with her jaws and quickly backed up to the door. Examining them quickly she decided that they'd do. She shifted and tied them around herself, then pushed firmly through the hospital door - pushing over a make-shift barricade in the process. Well, I'm inside... Now to see if I can find some food. I'm awfully hungry...(( Sorry if I got the bit about the barricade wrong, I just wanted to get her inside the hospital... And there's no way she'd actually kill them all without going all god mode. ^_^;; ))

Sebastian
Sebastian had been walking for what seemed like days. As his surroundings began to come into focus, he realized he was still in a dense forest. It didn't appear to be daytime yet. He could still see the moon glistening through the gaps of the branches. His legs ached from walking, he was covered from head to toe in dirt, he had a slight rip in his shirt, and tiny beads of sweat lined his forehead. It was morning when he began walking. After all, he was all alone here in this country that he had never been to before.
He was close to giving up hope, until he reached a clearing in the forest. The moonlight silhoutted a large structure high up in the trees. It loomed ominously in the distance, and looked like nothing more than a giant shadow. Sebastian was hesitant at first. But as he approached it, he realized it was some sort of tree-house. It looked much safer than here, exposed, in the middle of a dark forest. Slowly, Sebastian approached the treehouse, and heard soft voices coming from inside. "Hello?" He called quietly.

Ⓝ o a h * Ⓢ e b a s t i a n ☁ ☁ Ⓐ n d * Ⓝ o e l * Ⓗ i s * Ⓑ i r d ☁☁☀☁☁ Taking the box of clothes from her, Noah was glad the dog was harmless for the most part. It crossed his mind that Noel was small enough to fit into the dog’s mouth whole, however. He dearly hoped she would not venture to close to Lightning, at least until it was established this bird was a friend, not food. For now, Noah followed Courtney through the elaborate tree house and past her into the bedroom. Careful not to bump her with the box, he took her lead and ended the conversation about her family for now. “Any sort of clean clothes are the best at this point. Thank you,” Noah replied politely, but still looked forward to finding some finer dress-ware. It may not have been the most practical outfit, but Noah’s suits made him feel like himself, and there were so little reminders of who one was in a world were death had disfigured so much already.
He turned from Courtney to place the box of cloths on to the bed, which was dressed with a clean sheet, quilt of a worn material that Noah liked the texture of, and one plump looking pillow. Before he could grace his head with their comfort, he first had to pick out his new clothes and change. Picking through the box, he settled on a plain red T-shirt, work jeans slightly torn at the right knee, and a blessed pair of boxers that he was fairly sure would all fit him (he was a judge of size by sight). It’s only temporary, he reminded himself as he folded the rest of the articles he’d cast onto the bed, and put everything neatly into the box once more. Then he placed his leather knapsack onto the bed. Now, where do I change? He looked to Courtney with the question on his face, standing with his new clothes under one arm.
Noel was dozing on a branch high above the tree house, grateful to know Noah was safe inside. Sitting there under the night sky was bliss. Then a slight rustle incongruous of the wooded landscape obtruded her calm. She flew warily from the branch, wanting to alert Noah immediately when she heard a male human voice sofly ask the tree “Hello?” Human speech was not something she knew to fear, so she whistled back and landed closer to the bottom of the tree house where Sebastian called from. . . . The blonde man stopped when Atticus called him and he was glad, because he wouldn't have to raise his voice again, as he was sure that he was already being followed but that was likely just his paranoia. He saw the other man steel his face before approaching him, and it thought it a little odd that they both seemed to be putting on airs for each other, but then he realized that this man could just as easily kill him as look at him in this world and vise versa, so perhaps these overt displays of masculinity were in everyone's best interests. He dropped the end of his lacrosse bat to the concrete and reached out a hand to shake and answered the man's seemingly friendly inquiry, "The first, eh? I've actually been locked down, m'self." he squashed his odd multi-country accent as best as he could and tried to ascertain the skills of the man before him, though it didn't really matter how much worth this man had as Atticus didn't have any other choices. He could tell the other man was doing the same thing, looking him over and making sure that a relationship between them would be beneficial to both parties. "I'm Atticus by the way, Atticus Kowalski, 'prefer Attie though if'n you dun't mind."
With a look towards the sky, he wondered what was happening to this world, he'd heard incredibly strange crashing sounds and he could see pillars of odd smoke rising in the distance along with the ashy stuff that rose from the car wrecks and house fires that dotted the streets. With a backward glance at the university he said goodbye to all he had done there, it was no longer important, the grades, the friends, the parties, none of that was important anymore, really now the only thing that held any import to him was staying alive, and using the skills he had to keep any others he found alive. He reached into his pocket for a moment and ran his thumb over the smooth surface of the picture he kept folded there, it was of his family, the only photo taken of them as a whole, two days after the birth of his sister, the four stood overlooking the french countryside from the veranda of their home, it had a melancholy feeling to it, since one of the smiling faces in it would be dead only weeks later where as another had come into the world only days before, Atticus always saw it as a good indicator of the symmetry of life, for everyone one person alive there were so many more who had come and gone, most without any effect on the world he lived in today, unless of course they came back as they were now, because that effected his life quite a bit.

 ☆ ☆ ☆ Courtney Vantena
Courtney looked at the door as her dog stiffened and growled slightly near it. Great... she thought. Looking back at Noah she nodded slightly. "I will be in the kitchen then." she said walking out and shutting the door. She walked into the kitchen and grabbed a knife and called Lightning away from the door. She opened her door and stepped out quietly. She looked down at a boy. His eyes were bright blue which stuck out in the darkness. She was surprised yet another survivor was here. "Hello." she called. She was regretting a little to help this boy but it was late. There couldn't be any chances, and she had room for one more. On the couch...

Ⓝ o a h * Ⓢ e b a s t i a n ☁ ☁ Ⓐ n d * Ⓝ o e l * Ⓗ i s * Ⓑ i r d ☁☁☀☁☁ Noah quickly departed from his shoes and tattered, sickly clothes once the door was shut. All were bloodstained of course, and unless he could wash them Noah knew it better to burn them. Zombie blood was rumored to carry the disease. He only kept the shoes and laced those back on, because they were the only pair available for him. Noah would have invested some of the family fortune into cobbling school if he had known how valuable a good pair of shoes would one day become. He smirked at the thought of being shoe- repairmen, like the little elves he’d heard of in folktales. Taking his wallet from his old pant pocket and sticking it into his new jeans, he buckled his belt holster for his tonfas around his waist once more. He was worried about the growling dog, and was listening carefully to hear what was going on elsewhere in the tree house. Noah heard the front door open, which made the night sounds more audible. He heard Courtney address someone below the tree house.
He left his soiled things in a pile in a corner of the room, folded. His knapsack hidden under the bed, Noah opened the door of the bedroom and exited. He maneuvered back the main entranceway and stood so that he would not be seen by the newcomer below. He felt it not wise to let whoever was down there know of his presence until his or her intentions were known better. . . . Ⓔquipment:Tonfa Weapon

[[It's cool.]] Kary sniffled, trying to regain composure. "Well...we used to hang out in this one park when we were younger." she paused, giving a huge sniffle that could have been trying to suck mucus back in the hole. "It wasn't a very big park, but we liked it. I can show you how to get there." She then rubbed any remaining tears out of her eyes before walking in front of Desirae. She didn't mind if Ventes wanted to come too, which sounded like he did, so she waited for his response. She kept her eyes off of Kyle's corpse in fear she might break out again.

Icarius made it onto the roof first and watched as Xavier took care to ask Coraline how she was. Icarius moved over to the fire escape and wished he'd brought his plasma knife so that he could cut at least part of the fire escape away from the building so that they might be safe for a while. He was ready for the zombies to try the stairs, though so far they were only groping at the fire escape as if they didn't know how to climb a ladder, so the odds of them being smart enough to go inside and use the stairs were very small. Even so, Icarius prepared himself.
He shot a few zombies that had managed to get a grip on the fire escape near the bottom of the building and said, though half to himself: "We should be safe for a while... We'll get back either when they get bored or we find some way to travel along the rooves*," He looked around as he heard a voice from down below and furrowed his brow as he went to the other side of the building and looked down the street a ways. The figure near the video store that had unleashed this horde seemed to want them to do something, but Icarius had no idea what he was saying.
