Right on! I am impressed by this, you did a great job of balancing everything out.

The only thing that I feel is required is for gas bombs to have a radius AoE. Of course there is enough gas to fill a room, but as movement speed and jumping distance are becoming more important, exactly how much room do they fill? 25 foot radius from the grenade? Maybe more or less - all that is really important is that it is taken note of. This could even be determined by the type of grenade, since they will be submitted through customs if you want.

I've been on an AC Revelations kick, so I've been going a little bomb crazy 3nodding

The only other thing is that I think the Immunity passive should not grant immunity from the get go. How about a Sapper gains the ability to choose a new resistance every rank, BUT this resistance simply halves the poison's effectiveness against them. From the rank of Expert and forward, you may not choose a poison you already have resistance in and become immune IN ADDITION TO choosing a new poison for resistance (which starts at half or can be stacked on another already resisted poison to get immunity from two separate poisons per rank.

it wasnt that hard to balance stuff, you just need to know how not to be OP

but I agree on the glass bombs...they'll be no more than 10ft is a certain affliction and 15ft has a 50% chance to get poisoned, anything beyond that is safe ground...but the grenade is my ult skill....everyone has these godly AoE spells and I feel that since i've limited myself to this small arsenal, I should get my own god mode move....the smoke grenade in question is based on the current military models...you know the ones that darken the skies for days in .2 seconds? The ones that choke the air out of everything within moments? Ya, that's what I'm talking about....and I only get 1 shot...so unlike the spells, it's one time use.....how about we say it has a 30ft absolute hit radius and 35-50ft has a 50% chance of being poisoned?

On the topic of immunity, I dont get it right off the bat. There is one rank before Trainee, so I'd have to study and be exposed to my poisons. 50% resistance is out of the question. I only get 3 poisons to be immune from, they must be my own, and they cant be 3 master ranked ones, it has to be 1 trainee, 1 adept, and 1 master....I get one at each of the 3 ranks, just like I get 1 and the other 2 for Signature Poison. And on top of that, I cant even become immune to ones that damage health...As far as I know, I'm the only class that TRULY needs to be careful. I can ******** myself over just as much as i do my opponent, so i need a little bit of beefing.....at least I have to earn the rights to be immune to my poisons.

RPC Name: Kinetav
Talent Type: Combative
(Post time skip. This talent will not come into play during Kinetav's current battle)

Talent: Dark Devotion

Through further training, mentally and physically, Kinetav has begun to embrace the embodiment of death that is the Void. Knowing well that his own life will end with destruction and he had been essentially dumped on by society before arriving in Rykros, along with the new views of the world granted to him through slain plague soldiers, he has dedicated his life to sending impure souls to their non peaceful deaths in the Void itself. In return for his dedication and promise to send all characters, NPCs, and creatures he kills souls to the Void itself, the Void has granted him new knowledge and insight.

Stat Gain: +4/+4
(Please keep in mind that Kinetav is losing all of his abilities to gain stats to 15/15, and therefore not only the major advantage of his race but also the one Exodus ability he has at rank SS, instead granting him the form ability underneath and the stat gain above.)

Passives Granted:

Soul Transfer: Rank C Passive
Any opponents killed by Edge will have their souls sent to the Void instead, the Exodus blessed by Kinetav’s master as a link to the Void itself. The soul lasts in the blade only long enough to transfer memories, but no statistics are given to Kinetav this way.

Dark Familiarity: Rank C Passive
A target that is both Enfeebled and Soul Marked allows Kinetav to become the most familiar with an opponent's soul, allowing his single-target attacks with Edge and single-target shadow attacks to deal one rank higher damage against that target; loss of either Mark Soul or Enfeeble causes this extra damage bonus to be lost until both effects are back on the target.

Catastrophic Ruthlessness: Rank A Passive
If the opponent is either fully distracted by anything or anyone, or the opponent does not notice Kinetav, and is the current target of Mark Soul, Kinetav can use this opportunity and stab at the weak points of an opponent, increasing the damage dealt by Kinetav’s normal attacks to that target from behind by two ranks. This does not stack with Precision Strike or the talent’s passive ability “Dark Familiarity”.

Actives Granted:

Soul Strike: Rank C
The most basic of strikes, this ability infuses the Void’s shadow with Edge, causing the strike to enfeeble the target (-1/-1) for 3 posts. 3 post CD.

Marked for Death: Rank B
Shadows that have been manipulated and transmuted attack the opponent that Kinetav has soul marked for 4 posts, dealing D ranked damage each post. 7 post CD.

Shadow Extension: Rank A
The shadows of the void swirl together around the tip of the Exodus blade, extending it up to 25 feet outward with the power of the void intact. Being hit by this blade impales the target, causing A rank damage, enfeebling (-1/-1) for 3 posts, and a C ranked bleed for 3 posts. 10 post CD.

Shadow Form: Rank S
The shadows of the Void converge onto Kinetav's form, granting the Dark Avenger armor and improved weaponry for 5 posts. His blade is considered Shade Touched, dealing damage equal to his rank, armor piercing effects, and enfeebling to the target (-1/-1). His armor is considered Armor of Darkness, decreasing melee and elemental damage by one. His stats are also increased by +1/+1. Light spells equal to Kinetav's rank or higher dispel this effect, reverting all of his form back to normal. 12 post CD.

(Shadow Form compared to Exodus ability: abilities don't cost half energy, form doesn't transform, -10% energy cap weakness still exists, and +1/+1 instead of +3/+3)

Doing a good job of balancing your talent doesn't give you the right to a god moded move. While there's nothing wrong with a dense cloud of smoke escape manuever, it's impossible to make grenades of that potency without modern-day chemistry gear and military engineering knowledge, plus the ability to manufacture the grenade as a whole since it's potency and volume isn't created through Smoke grenade Application.

If you want a super thick, rank smoke grenade that burns the eyes and nose and makes it easy for her to escape, that's great and doable. If you want the same that has poison in it and it releases billowing clouds over numerous posts that are infectious by touch and inhalation, that works too. But escape cannot be magically immediate and guaranteed and the item itself can't be "god moded" for that very reason. It cannot magically suck the air out of everything because players can still hold their breath, but the effects are limited only by the poisons used.

these arent escape plans....
It's a wide radius attack...a way of dealing with multiple opponents when i'm on my own. Sure it could be used like that, but the smoke grenade is akin to the grandios finishing moves that other classes have...it's used to deliver an immediate 5 doses of poisons...

and how would it be impossible to create smoke bombs when we have things like the citadel and the machine people who create technology that is far advanced by today's standards? If anything, a simple smoke grenade would be child's play to assemble.

Lady Starlit Creed
RPC Name: Kyra Aranwen

RPC Profile Link: [here]

Your Customs Thread: [here]

RPC Rank: Expert

Combative Talent or Non Combative: Non-Combative

Talent Name(s): Tracking Instincts

Description: Kyra is gifted with a highly-tuned tracking instinct. All her senses are in tune with her surroundings and in her mind is a "map" of the environment, with input from every sense. Any disturbances on the land, such as a footprint or the residue of a recently activate spell is easily seen/sensed. Using the target's actions in the posts prior to her, she can track them through the environment.
Grant +100 energy to the Ranger (does not benefit Companion's energy).

Skills:

  • Enhanced Sense
    Rank E
By choosing a sense and using some of her energy, she can enhance the sense to study her surroundings or a trail for her prey much easier.
To activate all enhanced senses, Kyra sacrifices 50 energy per post for a maximum of 15 posts. Cooldown of three posts.
  • Enhanced Tracking
    Rank C
    Required: Use of Enhanced Sense
Cooldown of three posts after the end of Enhance Sense
Based on the sense which was enhanced, Kyra is able to heighten her tracking skills to prodigal levels.

---Sight: Enhanced Vision gives Kyra the ability to track effortlessly at night and with the presence of visual stimuli (broken twigs, footprints, a trail that was deliberately covered etc), she is able to immediately deduce all paths that are traversible and predict where the target's destination will be, based upon the distance and her target's build / body movement. This creates a mental map of the area described in the thread, and a target tracer for Kyra that notes the path her target has not only traveled from, but is also traveling to. (This is helpful in many other more contextual applications as well, such as following the movements of a wind element-based character)

---Sound: Enhanced Sound grants the ability to track while blind if the target is still in the thread, and gives Kyra the ability to visualizes a target's position if they are behind a wall or concealed by magical means such as invisibility or deeper darkness.

---Taste: Like a snake, Kyra can track someone by the taste of their odor. This enables successful tracking while blind AND deaf, and the target does not need to be in the thread. Weather does not affect tracking by taste EXCEPT that if it rains, the trail collects in the water on the ground and must be periodically tasted to stay on the trail.

---Touch: Kyra gains the benefits of tremorsense, allowing her to feel anyone / thing in the area that is moving on the ground 50 feet from her. When Kyra is indoors, she can also feel the movements of any creature using flight in the same room as her. Tremorsense gives Kyra the ability to "feel" the inside of a room with the door never needing to be opened. This allows her to track while blind, deaf, or otherwise afflicted. Rain does not affect tremorsense enough to be disorienting, and Kyra can estimate the size and posture of any creature within her range of perception. A great contextual application of this is in immediately locating an enemy creature's heart based upon its heartbeat.

---Smell: Enhanced Smell allows you to track while blind or deaf and in all conditions where you aren't exposed to something that "blinds" your sense of smell, (diamond powder, nosebleed, a bowl of 3 month old sun-ripened mayonnaise in the same room), and allows you to get the whereabouts of everything in the same thread / building with a unique odor within 100 ft of you. If it is raining, you have to roll a d20 to keep on the trail of your target (1-7 Failure, 8 - 20 Success) and you can re-roll in the next post to get back on the scent.

  • Enhanced Reflexes
    Passive (unlocked at Journeyman)
Her life in the wilds has made her lithe and agile, and makes her capable of exceptional acrobatic feats. She can climb walls, jump rooftops and traverse urban areas as quickly as she can run through an open field. Kyra gains a +4 Speed circumstantial rank bonus to determine her jump distance. For example, a character with a speed of 7 would calculate their jump distance as though they had a speed of 11. (This bonus does not increase attack count, run speed or anything except for the character's jump speed). It also allows her to safely survive in situation that might otherwise be perilous (avalanche, cave-in, wildfires etc), as well as move with her regular footspeed.

Glad you liked it smile Your sparkly new talent is APPROVED!

Having discussed this with you in detail, I do enjoy the basis of the talent, and think that it's pretty solid. Now, I do have two concerns.

Shadow Extension- Quite the powerful skill. On that note, I'd like to see the bleed damage at D rank. As it alraedy deals pretty substantial damage, and enfeebles the target, that much bleed is a bit over the top.

The stat gain- I'm sorry Veri, but this cannot be an immediate gain. This is for two reasons: a Journeyman at 12/12 is slightly ridiculous, and the other, more important, reason is that other Anima's have to gain their stats by dealing killing blows to enemies, and that is a tougher than it may seem. As such, that large of an immediate gain is out of the question. I would like you to change it so that Kinetav gains +2 Str/Spd once he reaches Journeyman, then +1 Str/Spd at Expert, and the last +1 Str/Spd at Master.

Stat Gain: How can you RP that? Once the talent is in place, no soul can be absorbed for the stat gain. Killing blows gains souls, but this talent negates that. I'm all for it since the stat gain would still be there, but I'm wondering how that plays out. Would it be Kinetav "training" that would give stat boost?

I actually was thinking that to RP that, you could go about it being part of a gift, or blessing from the Void. He gives up parts of himself for the Void, why should it not reward him?

Would that work for you?

Shadow Extension: Done

Stat Gain: How can you RP that? Once the talent is in place, no soul can be absorbed for the stat gain. Killing blows gains souls, but this talent negates that. I'm all for it since the stat gain would still be there, but I'm wondering how that plays out. Would it be Kinetav "training" that would give stat boost?

Change the stat gains to +3 at Journeyman and +1 at Expert, and I'm good for this. Good luck out there tiger, and be safe.

Kyra Aranwen
RPC Profile Link:

Your Customs Thread:

RPC Rank:
Expert
Combative Talent or Non Combative:
Combative
Talent Name:
Blood Ritual
Description:
Kyra has a strange relationship with blood. When her body recognizes a "taste" of someone's blood, a tier is unlocked, giving her unique abilities.
Skills:
  • First Tier
    Rank C
    The first taste of blood.
Allies/Pack: Recognizes the target as an ally. Kyra acquires a basic sense of direction of their "pack-member", knowing where they are as far as board (determined by the Lands and Capital boards). Must be consensual. One time use per target.
Enemies/Prey: Recognizes the target as an enemy. Kyra acquires a basic sense of direction of their "prey", knowing where they are as far as board (determined by the Lands and Capital boards). May be forced. One time use per target.
  • Second Tier
    Rank E-A
    The second taste of blood.
Allies/Pack: Once Kyra tastes the blood of her ally for the second time, she can return the favor by offering her own blood. This activates an energy/HP trade. For any amount of energy Kyra gives up, she can return double that energy or HP to an ally. The reverse can be offered up by a pack-member as well.
Enemies/Prey: Once Kyra tastes the blood of her enemy for the second time, she can steal HP/energy through their blood.
  • Third Tier
    Rank A
    The third taste of blood.
Allies/Pack: After releasing an amount of energy, the blood drinking lifts to the third tier.
Enemies/Prey: After releasing an amount of energy, the blood drinking lifts to the third tier. Krya is then able to gain +1 stat to either strength or speed. In return, the prey gains a new skill.
    ---Silver Touch
    Passive
Lasting for 10 posts after the Third Tier, the prey's skin has the same affect as silver towards werebeasts, poisoning them on contact.

WIP for now. I feel it needs more but not sure what. Please make suggestions :3

Concealment
With the aid of shadow, and wind, Krona creates the illusion of humanity. Her wings, her height, and her darkness are hidden behind a veil that can only be penetrated by similar eyes.
Concealment A

- Krona hides all three elements of herself – wing appearance/scent, height, and darkness – to change, at the cost of 150 energy, and 25 energy per post to maintain.
o Her wings become invisible to the eye, and their unique scent is maked
o She shrinks in height
o The tangible aura of darkness about her is masked

Concealment B
- Krona chooses one or two element of herself - wing scent/appearance, height, darkness - to change, at the cost of 50 energy to initiate and 10 energy per post to maintain.
o She chooses one or two of the above to conceal

Rules
- While this talent is active, she will appear to be completely, ordinarily, human to all except fellow fallen and Dark Avengers. Fallen will see her as the angel she is; Dark Avengers will be able to sense her darkness, and her connection to the void.
- The Concealment of the wings is only an illusion; the wings are still there, they simply cannot be seen. If someone were to touch her back, they would feel the wings there. She can still fly while this talent is active; the wings simply would not be seen.
