"Culinary club meeting...?" Romero trailed off in quiet and thoughtful consideration. "Sí, why not? I want to learn more about this rumored festival myself. When exactly is this meeting?" He grinned as an idea hit him. "Maybe, time and admin permitting, we can stage a bullfight together, Antonio! And with our area undoubtedly being the biggest, we could have the porters lead a fiesta and a feat!"
After all, what better way to display the Spanish culture than with a miniature Corrido de toros?
(And you're in a position to know and change these things, too. biggrin || Where are the other seniors?)

The nervous chuckle Romero had expected, for he remembered Antonio's not-so-successful attempt to perform the Corrido last year, though he thought just as he did then that the only reason why it unfolded so disastrously was for lack of a high enough fence. What he hadn't expected was that it was Principal Vargas himself who had banned it from enactment. Romulus was Latin too; surely he should've been more receptive of his toreros. If anyone should disapprove, it should have been his evil Vice.
The Venezuelan nodded acknowledgment at Spain's answer to his first question and revised his suggestion. "What if we didn't bring the bull and just danced like toreros? Or maybe we could get someone to play the bull for us," he added mischievously.
(torero is the same as matador)

His former colony merely smirked in answer as images of Lovino the bull frolicked grumpily before his mind. The South Italian had the right temperament for it too, especially if Germany was around to goad him on.
(Lol, I actually did briefly imagine that. But otherwise, I've no clue either.)

The Venezuelan hastily wiped the smile from his face, lest the Motherland see it and read what was there. "Who would be a perfect bull dancer?" he mused aloud. "It has to be someone who dances well and perhaps had the temperament of a bull..."
He knew France could dance well, but his personality was utterly incorrect for the role. Prussia hasn't danced much since his teenage days, ever since he had accidentally danced with Austria instead of Hungary. Hungary herself could probably be the bull, if not for her two left feet. Any country with some Spanish connection could surely perform in a simulated Corrido, but most of them seemed too cheery to be an effective bull.
Romero frowned. The combination of personality and dancing skill left but few options. Smiling again, he remembered the one who stood out in particular...

Damn. Antonio had seen the face after all. Too bad; Romeo actually did like the idea of a three, man Corrido dance. "I can't think of anyone perfect fire the job," he admired finally, "but that doesn't mean I won't try. We cam still dance, of course." He said the last as a statement rather than a question.
Meanwhile, the history teacher had moved on to South America, just as the Venezuelan feared. He groaned and massaged his brow in exasperation as he copied the words down, fighting hard to avoid correcting the man every time he referenced something from his country's past incorrectly. Why Vargas let him teach such erroneous history was beyond him...

"True," Romero agreed, "but bullfighting is the most fun, I say. Actually, fighting in general is fun! Except when it's between family," he added quickly, lest Antonio think him a fiery warmonger. There were only two people in particular he wanted to cross swords with anyway...
"The dances will certainly keep the youngsters entertained," the Venezuelan continued, remembering how well his impromptu torero flamenco had been received st Rutilio's party. "And we could always bring in food and paintings from the others as well. Everyone loves a good churro!" he exclaimed. After all, the Spanish doughnut was the inspiration for America's doughnuts.
