"Absolutely fine," Theta Nine said back to Fedora, lying right through his pearly whites. Thank goodness she hadn't ordered him to tell the truth. She had enough to worry about; he couldn't let her worry about him. When Eta VII's fist connected, he swung another fist back, more out of reflex than anything else, though he wasn't paying especial attention to his aim. He wasn't too surprised when it passed his opponent by.
But it did occur to him that if he went catatonic now, his partner might not make it out of this place alive at all. He couldn't let that happen, couldn't let that happen because of him. And he could only hope that Beta Four was faring all right. At least the little Gamma hadn't looked like she was about to kill him, but who could really tell at this point?
"What will you do, if you get out of here?" Theta Nine wondered of the Eta he was fighting, casual as you please. Already, he was easing his way back toward Fedora as best he can.

"I realize that," Fedora stated in a smooth voice, stepping aside of her wide punch. "I also hope you realize that I aim to leave this place alive." She glanced to Before and gave a wave, wondering if he saw it. "Thanks, Before!" She yelled, hoping he could hear. Fedora quickly grabbed the boot from the ground and threw it back his way, so he could put it back on. Hopefully he'd still be protected!! Fedora lifted her fists again, not going down without a fight. She threw a punch, her aim also wide; it seemed she was tired as well. Weapon: Fists Damage to Delta 9: 0 points of damage Fedora (Delta Four)'s HP: 18 HP

If not, attacking Theta 9)) Once again she heard a voice call out a command, and felt a tingle from the necklace, but no actual compulsion following it. Weird, the command pendant didn't seem to be working anymore. She didn't have time to look and see who gave the command, Theta 9 was now attacking her in return. The question he posed surprised her, and she replied without thinking, "Find Delta 8. He stayed behind." The fact that he'd gotten an answer out of her annoyed her for some reason, and she swung again; she was rewarded with another glancing blow. ((Weapon: Melee Damage to target Theta 9: 2 HP Eta 7 current health: 13 HP))

Theta Nine grit his teeth against a gasp of pain and threw another punch in return. The world had suddenly become very simple. Whether or not his punch connected -- and he noted with quiet satisfaction that it did -- he knew what he would have to do next. He just wasn't sure if it would prove to be more help than hindrance.
He was surprised that she actually gave an answer. "He's safer than we are, 'less there's another game," he said in return. Her answer made him wonder about Tattoo -- was she still alive? would she stay alive? -- but he pushed the thought out of his mind.

Before felt the vibration of something landing near his face. He turned and peered through the flecks of blood and blurry vision and slowly realized it was his boot. His boot came back?! Duuuuuude, he had a Booterang! That is awesome! Wondering if his other boot was the same, he wriggled his other foot free. And that too was sailing through the air and the sound of impact was much more solid.
[Weapon: Melee (I'd use Before's stink from his boot but well gas masks :<)

Delta Nine was feeling like a boss after dodging Delta Four's attack. Well, she was feeling like a boss before she took another booterang attack to the back. "You gotta be KIDDING me!" she roared, turning to give Beta Four the finger. "Dude, seriously, shoes? You're throwing shoes?! Just die!" As she turned back to face Delta Four (although it would've been wise just to go kick Beta Four in the face a few times), she glanced over the crowd. Nobody was responding to her pendant. Maybe it had been around the neck of someone who escaped already. Lucky D9. She hoped Theta Seven was alive. She hoped he got out of here because she sure as hell wasn't. There would be no blaze of glory for Delta Nine. Just a bloody gym floor, boots being thrown at her, and death among people she didn't know. She wasn't going down without a fight. She was going down swinging. Attacking Delta Four via melee. Damage done: 3 Current HP: 7 (SERIOUSLY MAN WHO THROWS A SHOE)

Unfortunately, from his vantage point, which was the floor so it wasn't really much of a vantage point if you thought about it, Beta Four failed to see the obscene gesture directed at him. Granted he could barely see anything besides fuzzy shapes and colors unless they were practically right in front of him. And even then he's not likely to be able to make out any specific details. However, he managed to make out the demand he die, and to that his response was, "You come over here and say that to my face!" >CCCC "No, really, I don't think I can get to where you are. Are you the one my booterangs have been hitting? YOU AREN'T DOOR OR TONIGHT, ARE YOU????!?!?"
Oh ********, what if he had?! But no, Door thanked him, he heard her. Slowly, he reached for the booterang near his face and tossed that. Maybe he should have kicked it off him again. His arms were clearly too weak to be of any use.

Why?! Why was this game still going on?! Someone had come at Gamma 8, and while they had missed they had come at her. She could barely see out of the fogged lenses of her mask, but she struck out blindly with one hand.

Fedora had to laugh; she bent down and threw the shoes back so he could throw them again, genuinely amused. "Looks like I have more friends than you... I apologize for that, but... I still want to live." She dodged Gamma 8's wild punch, and moved to attack Delta 9 again, hoping that Gamma 8 couldn't see her. She was moving wild enough to begin with. "I'm sorry we couldn't be friends. I'm sorry it had to turn out this way." "I stopped fearing death," Delta Nine said bluntly. The fear had been omnipresent in the beginning of her arrival on this island, she knew that much. It had waned when she'd met Theta Seven. She only hoped he was still alive. She only hoped that he knew she thought of him. "If you see Theta Seven, tell him I forgive him, will you?" A loud grunt sounded as Delta Nine swung, putting the last bits of strength she could muster into the punch, hitting Delta 4 with a satisfying thud. That was more like it. Z2 hadn't even noticed that his pendant had changed colors right before he was struck on the side of his head, "Ah, what the ******** hell! You stupid 'cuntruggerish ********!!'" Z2 blurted out loudly as he clutched his now bleeding head where he had been punched, quoting the exact same thing Gamma 12 had called him before she died, "What was the point of that?!! I mean, I know we're in a battle right now and people are killing each other but that was REALLY uncalled for!" Still clutching his head, Z2 hunched over in pain and groaned loudly, "That really hurt, you stupid b***h!! What the ******** is wrong with you?! I'm sorry, excuse my language, but that was really unnecessary! Not to mention the fact that I've been on this island watching people around me getting their heads blown off and people who think punching me in the side of the head for no reason is amusing, I do have the right to curse at you!" Even in situations like these, Z2 still manged to remain as polite as he could be, "If that's the way you're going to be though, then I guess I'll just have to go into self defense mode..." Delta Nine nodded abruptly. "No hard feelings." Swing and a miss! Exhaustion was causing Delta Nine to swing messily, half-heartedly. She was tired, she was hurting. Her movements were mechanical, stiff and robotic. Weapon: FISTS Damage to Delta Four: 0 Current HPs: 76!

Delta One was taken aback a little when Z 2 began shouting at her. Didn't he realize what they were here for? Didn't he realize that in order to live, other people were going to have to die? She shook off the blows she received from both Z 2 and Gamma Five, grunting a little at each. Compared to the other pain she had had to endure earlier, it was nothing. Should've taken care of that little welp first! She thought to herself angrily, before throwing another punch at Z 2's head, getting her groove back it seemed. She didn't bother saying anything back to him. She didn't feel anything needed to be said at this point. ((Attacking: Z 2

((Whoops sorry. XD)) Z2 was struck again, even harder this time. He could taste the blood in his mouth at this point as he began to cough violently, having sustained a blow to his head not once, but twice, "I h-hope you're enjoying this... causing pain to somebody else. I'm sure you know how it feels too. You're just glad it's not happening to you, am I right?" Z2 let out a pained chuckle, not even caring at this point of how much pain he was in, "It doesn't matter anyways if you kill me, cause you're going to die too. We're all going to ******** die on this island... until then though, I'm going to fight you with every last ounce of strength I got. I've gotta protect Gamma 5 until the very end..."
