Glad to finally start up activity again... I felt the need to rp Envy first xD Just love her <3 I also used a few NPCs in the post so bare with me <3 I used to own Richmoon, so that's how I know how he acts, and I used to RP with Poison's owner, so I know how Poison acts xD yeah...enjoy! ❁”Come on you lazy furballs, we don’t have all day!!!”
A feminine growl cried out in frustration, disrupting the peaceful silence of the marshy woodland. The voice, laced with insolence, belonged to (NPC) Poisonpetal, a Nightclan she-cat who was both known for her great warrior skill and a sharp tongue at that. The dark gray she-cat balanced herself onto a fallen tree; which led to a treetop overhand just beyond. Poisonpetal carefully avoided the splotches of gooey greenish-brown slime that littered the path as she came to a stop, raising her nose to the air. She frowned as a faint scent wafted through her nostrils. Hurry up! A faint crunch of twigs answered her, causing the gray warrior to turn her attention to the noise. Her gaze snapped towards undergrowth, where the sounds grew louder and louder. She was searching for something…or, perhaps, someone. Poisonpetal’s piercing violet eyes narrowed, glowering towards a small cluster of holly. Whatever she was looking for seemed to be trying her patience. Still, the she-cat waited. For what seemed like moons, her wispy tail twitched as a single figure emerged; entering her line of sight. Displease was evident in her expression. Someone was missing.
The lone member of her party, an ebony furred tom, stopped in front of the grouchy she-cat, giving Poisonpetal a pumpkin orange gaze which gleamed antagonistically; a hint of grief swimming in their depths.
”Shwut up Pfoisonfetal! Fwom uf us dwon’t want fu rush to h-our feaths!(Shut up Poisonpetal! Some of us don’t want to rush to our deaths!)” The tom snarled irritably; voice muffled from a blackbird in his maw. A few glossy feathers drifted down to meet the ancient bark of the tree. Poisonpetal simply cackled, mrrowing obnoxiously at his attempt to quiet her. Did he honestly think that he had any chance in intimidating her? She then bared her teeth in animosity; lips curling into a low hiss. ”Why don’t you make me, little Richmoon?!” The haughty she-cat dared, looking down at the younger warrior to prove her point. (NPC)Richmmoon’s fur began to rise in fury, taking a threatening paw-step forward to answer her challenge. He was exhausted and the she-cat’s taunts only fueled his unpleasant mood. Poisonpetal drew back, ears drawing to the sides of her head in aggression. She wasn't going to take off with her tail between her legs at something as pitiful as this.
Before a claw could protract, the last cat of the hunting patrol stepped in fluidly, blocking the two felines considerably upon the narrow passageway. The new obstacle was a lovely she-cat, much smaller than the other two, and probably the youngest of the small patrol.
”STOP!”
As if realizing her sudden outburst, which shocked her comrades greatly; the she-cat flattened her ears and continued sensitively, voice shaking, but stern.
”I-I mean….c-calm down please…. There is no need to st-start a fight…especially with everything that’s happened. We’ll need as many paws as we can; R-Rabbitfoot is already troubled with the casualties as it is. W-We’re all tired, both physically and emotionally…so…so…so fighting wouldn't do Nightclan any g-good!…E-Especially amongst clanmates…”
The owner of the sweetly gentle, yet frailly soft mew was none other than Envyfeather, one of the younger warriors of their clan. She was a pretty little sight, and there was quite the emphasis on the little part. Envyfeather had been the runt of the litter, small and unlikely to survive. But she did, and she turned into a striking she-cat with a soft warm-brown pelt, a slender and lithely built body; graced with rich tabby markings; her paws, muzzle, and belly being snow white. A distinct feather-like splotch of white upon her chest adorned her name.
”Whatever.”
Poisonpetal hissed agitatedly, to no one in particular. She looked the younger warrior over with an odd glitter in her eyes, perhaps of slight praise, but it lasted no more than a second before it returned to her normally cruel lilac gaze. Poisonpetal huffed, retreating in the direction of their destination; camp. Her swishing tail showed no signs of friendliness nor calm. Richmoon snorted, the hairs on his flank began to lie flat as he calmed himself. He did blink in amazement from the sudden disruption from the normally soft-spoken and quiet Envyfeather; even taking a double-take to make sure it was indeed the tabby she-cat. Envyfeather meekly dipped her head, sinking her head in submission as she was prepared for a harsh cuff around the ears or some form of anger. But, with a grateful look in his eye, though traces of agony were obvious; clouding his beautiful orange gaze in wallowing agony, he thanked her with a lick to the forehead. The adolescent tabby’s head rose slowly, suppressing the surprise she felt from the mere gesture. But the distress that practically radiated from her clanmate astonished her more. Envyfeather uneasily nosed his shoulder with her soft pink nose, hoping to comfort the morbid warrior. The tom smiled grimly in response, before heaving a weighted sigh. It did little to honestly help Richmoon, but Envyfeather was satisfied with the fact that he accepted it. Richmoon side-stepped past his fellow clan-mate; a final nod of thanks following as he departed after Poisonpetal. He began muttering some inaudible string of words as he went. Luminous eyes liquid in amethyst-blue concern, the weary peace-maker delicately bounded after her hostile clan-mates, the pounding in her heart beginning to dwindle.
As the trio trudged forward, the sun began to rise higher into the sky, sheltered behind the cover of a storm cloud. The wind danced about the territory, howling in bitter symphony across the treetops. The patrol’s catches were measly but decent enough from the events that occurred not long ago; the lagging member reminisced of the destruction leading up to their hunting trip.
Everyone’s on edge…and grieving…
Envyfeather concluded within her thoughts, biting her lip; eyes growing a dull purplish-blue as her paws led her numbly along the splintered path towards camp. Before this meager patrol was sent, mass chaos had occurred, followed by…tragedy. A huge and devastatingly powerful earthquake erupted suddenly, sending trees, land, and foliage to their doom. Great trees that had stood protectively over Nightclan territory for countless years, had met their end just as easily, collapsing about the territory and crushing all in their paths. The group split open as if great monsters surfaced from the dreary pits them selves, creating dangerous crevices and jagged earth to swallow anything caught in those painful traps. As quickly as it came, the tremors and corrupting earth soon faded, leaving an eerie peace in its wake. Luckily, the clan was able to evacuate with the guidance of Starclan; fleeing in masses towards the safety of the lake shore. As the clan was led back into camp, they were horrified from the results. The nursery was practically nothingness from collapsed trees. Their camp was in many ruins, though the legendary tree in the center survived, along with the Apprentice, Warrior, Leader, and Medicine dens. Unfortunately, disaster seemed to always cause some kind of consequence, both to territory and lives… A few precious clanmates weren't fast enough. Before the disaster finally stopped, three kits were trapped around Dead Cat’s Hollow. One of the she-cats of the clan, Puresun, had become a great hero and valiantly sacrificed herself in order to save two of the three kits, (NPC)Cipherkit and (NPC)Stunkit. However, little (NPC)Dark-kit joined Starclan much earlier than he suspected, along with Puresun, who followed soon after. Guardianvow was with Puresun during the horrific scene, and even he wasn't fast enough to save the remaining clan cats. He made it back with Stunkit and Cipherkit by the scruff, looking more defeated than she had ever witnessed in all her moons, reporting to their leader, (NPC)Foxstar, of the folly that had came to pass. Though many cats grieved for the losses, especially for the popular and beloved Puresun, everyone was too caught up on rebuilding camp to honestly dwindle on thoughts like those. Foxstar had given a hearty speech to boost the clan’s spirits, and ordered patrols to assess and rebuild damages, not to mention hunting parties for the clan, sparing not a single second to waste. But Envyfeather knew that the deaths and destruction still weighed heavily on everyone’s hearts, especially Richmoon. Envyfeather hadn't known Puresun all that well, only remember little snippets of the cheery calico visiting the nursery or playing with the kits. Nor did the death of Dark-kit do much to her either. If anything, Envyfeather avoided the nursery so she wouldn't hurt or cause trouble to the youths. But it hurt Richmoon a lot more than she could ever imagine. Puresun was Richmoon’s only litter-mate, and the two were quite close when they were kits and apprentices, as far as Envyfeather knew. They even had similar warrior names given to them, the suffixes –sun and –moon, to represent their kin-ship as such. Even after they grew apart when Puresun left the clan, they still held a close bond that Envyfeather envied; wishing her siblings were the same. Richmoon didn't seem to blame Guardianvow for not saving his sister, probably accepting the fact that it was her time and there wasn't much he could do. It still hit him hard knowing that Puresun was with his mother in Starclan, leaving him without any kin in the clan.
He was alone.
Envyfeather sympathized for him, loneliness wasn't pleasant. She should know.
She always felt alone unless she was with her brother Rainblast or…Nobleheart, a cat who parted from her many moons ago, but still held her tender heart in his. Her other brother, Pine-eyes, was extremely unapproachable…though she still cared for him. Either way, she still had cats she called dear. But, the selfish she-cat always held a feeling of aching solitude within her heart, which was as inescapable as being caught in a fox-trap. It hurt, but Envyfeather chose to live with it. She clung to the thread of connection she still had with her beloved Nobleheart within the paradise of dreams. Oh how she loved them. For those were the times of tranquility and warmth she could share, nestled in the star-kissed crook of her beloved’s neck, without a care in the world but the love she shared with him. Envyfeather couldn't help but smile, a fluttering sensation filling her heart at the thought of the tom that stole it. She would soon have the opportunity to meet him again in their paradise…playing in the sunny meadow of vibrant flowers and enjoying one another’s company like they always di-
Envyfeather squeaked in surprise as Richmoon nudged her forward, noticing that she had long since left reality and entered the world of day-dreaming. Fairly embarrassed, she flushed underneath her fur as she nodded shakily, picking up the pace as the patrol of three entered camp. Envyfeather had nearly dropped her catch of a somewhat plump mouse and a derisory frog. It was better than catching nothing, like Poisonpetal. Smug she-cat still acted like she was at the top of her game, even though she was the only one to return with an empty maw.
The tabby followed her clanmates into the clearing, placing the toad onto the rather miserable fresh-kill pile. Even if it began to build in stature, it was still pretty pathetic. She didn't blame it on her clanmate’s skill though. The earthquake scared off or killed most of the prey in the territory. If she were a mouse, she would take off as far away as possible if she could. Several hunting patrols were sent out, it just happened to be that her patrol was one of the first to return; the spot they chose wasn't very plentiful. Envyfeather sighed silently, taking the mouse towards a spot of soft and oddly grassy earth, where a beautiful light tabby she-cat lay. The clan had done a marvelous job in rebuilding, most likely running on the adrenaline offered by their leader much earlier. But the Nursery, home to queens and kits alike, had taken the worst damage; being reduced to a hopeless mass of nothingness, having to be repaired entirely. She wasn't sure where the queens and their kits had taken refuge, but Envyfeather was sure it was somewhere safe. The tabby she-cat faced Envyfeather with placid merit in her shimmering leaf green eyes; she was known as (NPC)Roseleaf, one of the few queens of the clan. She was still grieving for the loss of Dark-kit from the expression on her face, but it didn’t change the gratitude she felt when she accepted the mouse from Envyfeather. The kind queen smiled sympathetically before devouring the fresh-kill; of course she would notice the exhaustion Envyfeather felt in her aching paws. The warrior shyly blinked before backing away towards the Warrior’s den. The she-cat’s gaze flickered about camp, assessing the productivity of work before resting on the familiar orange pelt of her new apprentice, Orchidpaw. Envyfeather couldn't shake off the feeling of shock and bewilderment of receiving one. She had never trained an apprentice, and never dreamed of really receiving one. It scared her too. Was she really prepared for training Orchidpaw to be a fierce and loyal warrior of the clan? Envyfeather looked like a mouse-brained idiot when she first touched noses with her apprentice, nearly head-butting the new paw with nervousness. It helped her with the fact that Orchidpaw was just as uneasy as she was. She hoped that she could serve her clan as a mentor well. The last thing she wanted was to disappoint her leader, apprentice, and her apprentice’s fierce mother, Tigerfang. The queen wouldn't appreciate knowing her daughter couldn’t defend herself properly. Envyfeather shivered at the thought of Tigerfang’s wrath. Her attitude was probably crabbier since her apprentice had been Puresun. The earthquake put off training considerably, all paws required to fix the campground. She almost hoped it would take a while to rebuild her home if it meant escaping a few more days of training her apprentice. Doubt darkened the young warrior’s gaze, thoughts of failing her clan apparent. Forcing the negative emotions away, Envyfeather grasped the fact that Foxstar trusted her with the larger-than-average she-cat, and it was her duty to train her superbly. Sighing, Envyfeather settled upon a small piece of warm earth; striped tail curling around her paws, feeling the chilly morning breeze caress her fur before flowing into the trees. The she-cat’s eyes traveled towards the sky, focusing on the off-white clouds that dappled the gray-blue above. She hoped that things would look up…perchance get better…
But things seemed to get worst…like usual…

Trotting over, he gave tom a nod. The tabby warrior sat down, only to jump back up at Guardianvow's words. Puresun. The she-cat that everyone loved. Was dead? He shook his head. That could not be true. It couldn't. Rainblast took a tentative step towards the tom before stopping as Shimmerstep appeared. He sighed and flopped back down. He felt like he should say something, but his mind couldn't muster up the words needed. So he just stood up, rested his tail on Guardianvow's shoulder for a moment before padding over and flopping down beside his sister. "Hey Envyfeather..." He meowed, sadness clouding his eyes as he rested his head against her. OOC:✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖✖ I want someone to love me For who I am I want someone to need me Is that so bad Will you love me? I felt my shoulders sag with sadness. Puresun was such a blessing and now she was gone. A pang of sorrow tugged at my heart and I shook my head to clear it. I wouldn't mourn right now. There would be time for mourning at the vigil as well as in my nest. So with that thought in mind, I sighed and padded over to my apprentice. "Ghastlypaw" I meowed softly, gently guiding the apprentice away from Guardianvow and Shimmerstep. "Let Guardianvow and Shimmerstep mourn together. I'll tell you where Puresun is." I said in a motherly tone. Or well, a tone I remembered hearing my mother speak in so I assumed it was a motherly tone. "Ghastlypaw... Puresun is in Starclan..." I finally meowed after a few silent heartbeats. I gave my apprentice a lick on between the ears and curled my tail around my paws. Ghastlypaw stood before her rigid, not wanting to listen to the words, despite the soothing tone they took on, it made her legs weak. "Puresun is in StarClan" her crooked jaw dropped half-way, and soon pulled itself back into it's unusual position, a sadness coming over her, such a horrid pain pulsing inside her chest, it felt like she was dying and joining the calico. "..." she had opened her jaw, preparing to speak, something, anything, in return to the female. But nothing could come out, no words could take place. "My Brother died with her." Ghastlypaw added on, the Darkkit that had died had been her Brother, she hadn't a big fondness for her Brother, and for this reason it didn't pain her as much as hearing that Puresun, of all cats, had passed.
"I need Puresun though" Ghastlypaw mumbled aloud, her ears had drooped, her tail curling by the side of her hindlegs and out infront of her. The comforting lick atop her head didn't seem to work at all. "There's nothing we can do though, she's gone, and not coming back, we'll never see her again." Ghastlypaw managed a final choke out of words. "I need some time, some time.... Alone" Ghastlypaw said, she slowly picked herself up, but was unsteady on her paws, sick with sadness. As Ghastlypaw moved numbly out of camp, out into the wreckage from the earthquake, she padded a short ways, sitting next to a tree, wanting to grieve by herself, she wished, although, for the comfort of Puresun, despite that being the deceased, the comfort of her brother, Furypaw, or Charmingpaw, the sweetest tom ever in her opinion, even if Furypaw didn't like it.
Ghastlypaw made a choking sound, but it soon died away, she couldn't do anything now, Puresun was gone. She closed her blue eyes, remembering the amber ones of Puresun, and their gentle and sweet tone, the motherly love that she had for all cats seemed to be strong in this idea, this memory, this vision. "Puresun..." Ghastlypaw mumbled, tasting the words on the tip of her tounge, despite it being lopsided. "such a gentle and loving cat, she will be missed" Ghastlypaw said, although her calmness seemed to be in her words, on the inside she was dying.

Being the oldest of his siblings, Furypaw always tried to keep his siblings in line, since their father was such a wuss. RUNNINGPAW Runningpaw sat down and curled his tail around his paws as Foxstar spoke. He had no clue what his leader was talking about, but apparently they have had to rebuild the dens before this time? The young apprentice bounced to his paws when cats yowled in agreement. He was a little confused as to what everyone was agreeing to, but the energy was contagious. Runningpaw bounced around from paw to paw.
The tabby tom looked over at Foxstar and Guardianvow. They looked sad. Runningpaw padded over to them to figure out why they were sad. He joined in time to hear the words. We will hold a vigil for Puresun... He tilted his head. He vaguely remembered the name. Maybe she was another one of the cats who visited the nursery a lot. After a few moments a thought dawned on him. He remembered when they had to take refuge in Foxstar's den. Puresun was there too. Runningpaw looked around and saw his mentor with a she-cat. He didn't want to interrupt, but Rainblast was a cat he felt comfortable asking questions to.
Taking a deep breath, Runningpaw padded over to Rainblast and Envyfeather. "Rainblast...?" He meowed hesitantly.

My heart broke for my apprentice. I hadn't realized that she had been that close with Puresun. But then that was just like the she-cat. Always making friends and being sweet. I rasped my tongue over her ear. "I know it seems bad now Ghastlypaw, but things will get better. We are Nightclan, we've survived bad things before." I meowed softly, sighing as the young apprentice padded off. With a grunt, I pulled my fluffy self up and followed after her. What? Yes she wanted to be alone, and she deserved that. But apprentices were not to be leaving alone. I would stay far enough so she couldn't see me but close enough so I could see her. I padded along and stopped crouched behind a fallen tree. Ears twitching oh so slightly, said she-cat snapped her head towards the sullen muse. It broke her aching heart from what she found.
Her brother.
Grief and regret glistened in his night-sky pools, reflecting from her own surprised amethyst-blues.
How could one of the few cats she held dear become so sorrowful?
Rainblast was always the one that cheered her up when she was down, especially after losing “Guardianpaw” as a mere apprentice. But there was a single question the pretty warrior mulled over for the umpteenth time.
Should she comfort him?
Envyfeather constantly brought herself down with morbid thoughts, her mind chastising her at the very idea.
There was no way someone like her could do anything to help her sibling. If anything, the chocolate tabby would make things worst!
Taking an inward breath of reassurance, Envyfeather turned to face the brown tabby besides her, a sincere glimmer in her beautiful gaze.
”G-Greetings brother…wh-what troubles you? W-Wait, I mean…I mean…I…er...I-I’m sorry…”
Her voice became a nearly inaudible whisper, her flank burning with embarrassment and remorse from her failure. Finding no other words to say, Envyfeather held her brothers gaze.
It was sad.
She couldn’t take it.
She wanted him to smile.
”Eep!”
The young warrior squeaked in alarm from the sudden contact. Her brother rested beside her, his head being supported by her side. Flustered slightly, Envyfeather couldn’t help but feel a soothing purr begin to rumble somewhere deep within her throat. It was nice being by her most beloved brother once more. She licked her kin affectionately upon the forehead before tilting her head slightly. Somecat was approaching.
"Rainblast...?"
Blinking, Envyfeather turned to the newcomer, a little mackerel tom. Runningpaw. The adolescent was apprentice to Rainblast. Recalling the word that released itself from the apprentice’s mouth, Envyfeather’s eyes held a new-found tenderness in them.
”H-Hello Runningpaw…”
He obviously looked to Rainblast for comfort, as she would in his position. She wondered Runningpaw even knew her name, let alone the fact that she’s Rainblast’s sister. She was never one for visiting the nursery; barely taking time to even see her brother’s kits.
They made her nervous.
But it wasn’t because she feared the precious kittens.
She was honestly afraid she’d do something wrong.
Envyfeather turned to her sibling, wondering what the grieving tom would answer with.

The fact of Starkcloud's presence was not evident to her, her tail ran over his back, deeply pursuing her thoughts, as she did think about it. "Let's just go for a walk around the territory, I think that'd be best" Puresun's death was still lodged in her chest, having looked up to Puresun so greatly for her motherly attitude, her quick qits, her caring soul, Puresun was perfection to her, and that made her heart soar with happiness to think that way, but to sink in the thought that she was dead, and was not coming back. Ghastlypaw felt herself hardly able to move for a few moments, but eventually brough herself to her paws. "Come on, we might find something cool!" she mewed cheerfully, sticking to her upbeat personality despite the break in her chest.

The debris that littered the forest floor was evident to her, and she looked at it, almost fearful that something else might fall, Ghastlypaw had some of the worst of luck, and it seemed to be true. She did have a horrible amount of luck. Might aswell change my name from Ghastlypaw to Horriblepaw, so I can be Horribleluck Ghastlypaw thought to herself, sighing slightly, she almost ran into Charmingpaw until she heard his voice, and backed up to stand next to Furypaw. The fact the two were arguing made her cower a bit, crouching to the ground, and listening to them. "You both shouldn't be fighting, why can't you two just get along, ever?" Ghastlypaw mewed to them, sighing a bit.
The fact she wasn't really in the mood to play, but not wanting to let Charmingpaw down, for the reasons he made her heart fill up with happiness caused her to take his side. "Alright, i'll play with you Charmingpaw, but just for a bit, Furypaw and I had plans" Ghastlypaw mewed, she wasn't sure why she was acting like this to him, Ghastlypaw absolutely had a surge of happiness pouring through her from just looking at Charmingpaw, and it made her insides turn and twist. "Furypaw, can we still have our walk in a bit?" she asked him, a bit of disappointment was in her eyes, as she looked at Furypaw, but only indicated this towards him so Charmingpaw wouldn't get upset. "And can we talk about this later, Furypaw?" she asked him, obviously indicating the point that Furypaw really disliked Charmingpaw.

However, the brown tabby had tricked him, saying that it was Ghastlypaw's choice. Not his. Sighing, the fiery colored kit rolled his sapphire blue eyes and nodded.]"Fine. But were still going to talk later, okay?"[He said, walking past the two. But not before he purposely bumped Charmingpaw's flank.]"You dare make a bad move, and I'll tear you to pieces.."[He said in the apprentices ear, a low growl in his voice. After walking back to the center of camp, Furypaw began to help a bit with cleaning the leftover piles of debris.]
[Charmingpaw smiled happily as Furypaw left. After that whisper though, he got quite confused.]"I wouldn't hurt her! Never!"[The tom thought. Shaking his head, Charmingpaw began trotting along, gesturing for Ghastlypaw to follow.]"Come on, lets go!"[He said, walking towards the end of camp. He didn't plan on going out of camp, just maybe like.. "Of course" she mewed calmly, having returned back to her natural state, her crooked jaw moving to speak, it reminded her painfully of Bramblefire, and her even worse dislike of Bramblefire. Her same eyed brother had said something to Charmingpaw, she knew this because he stopped for a few moments next to him, then parted ways, she watched him leave, then looked over at Charmingpaw, as he gestured her to follow.
Ghastlypaw simply nodded her head. "I'm coming!" she said to him, bounding after him, not even Charmingpaw could lift her spirits from the pain in her chest over the calicos death. Ghastlypaw bounded a few steps after him, padding right beside him with a delicate pawstep, being careful of the debris that scattered the ground, and as she walked, she pushed some of it off to one side, making it a bit less scattered. Even if it didn't do much, the edge of camp approached her, and she stared at it, her tail tip twitching, she pawed at Charmingpaw playfully. "So, are we gonna play?"[/] she asked him, in a kitten charmed voice, like always it was sweet and beautifully toned. A happy gaze perched on her messed up face.
