He stummbled back a littl as he tried to regain his balance. " r...." was all he managed wehn he bumped into Mephisto. He dodged the next attack, and tried on of his own. His fist cam flying toward Mephisto, and he was smiling. Having fun if you please.
Cassy held her close stil, " whats your name?" she asked the little girl.
" Marie." she said in a very low tone still. " I'm so scared.."
Cassy held her tightly. " I actually am as well, but I;ve been whit Mephisto for so long that he has actually calmed me down a lot.' she said as she ducked her head to keep them both safe.

Mephisto catches the man's fist like he were moving in slow motion. Then he twists it viciously. Bone snaps and muscles tear as the speed with which he twists it is more than the man's body can take. "I told you you would lose the hand." Mephisto says grimly before a bean of white hot flame issues from a finger, severing the hand. He tosses it aside before smashing his fist into the man's sternum, like a cruise missile smashing into a rabbit.

He yelled loudly,a nd smiled. : So much adreniline.' he said as he smiled. ' Thank you kind sir, and now I'll take a leave, but i will be back soon." he said as he jumped into the night time sky. " Keep the girl if you want. I could care less if you killed her.' he said as he dissappeared intot eh blackness of the sky. His presence was no longer around.
Cassy was still in the same pose as she had been. And she wasn't about to let go of the girl not just yet. Soon though she feared she would be ripped out of her arms. Just like her won sister had so many years earlier.

Mephisto watches him leave and growls, something that sounds savage, furious. He would have followed him, except that there was Cassy and the other girl to look after. His gaze snaps to them, the anger still there, but it melts. He could not remain angry when he looked down at Cassy. He looked... sad... almost frightened. "Come. We must go home. Now." He says, concern in his voice. ((Not intentionally, no xP ))

Cassy looked up at him, with an intense sorrow. She held the girl still ccrying, very close. she had nothign to say. The expression on her face should have said it all. "... " she looked away, and then picked the small child up. She sat her on ehr feet, and looked at the scollar. " So much infection... " she said as she grimaced. " Hodl very very still. And i'll mek the pain and posion go away... It'll get better fro you. I promise." she said as she found the weakest link of the spiked collar. She pulled hard, and wrapped her hands tightly around the spikes she got out. They hurt despratly, and she winced. Still she pulled harder, and with her efforts she pried it off. " Master... Please.. destroy this... It tracks..."

Mephisto doesn't even think twice. Taking the collar he stares angrily at it. the very thought of the supposed man infuriated him, and he focused that anger now on the object in his grip. It burst into angry flames, large and roaring, totally consuming it in the span of a heartbeat. Mephisto didn't care that he was being showy. He didn't care that people were staring. What the man did and what he represented burned him up. He looks down at the two again, his eyes softening a little. "We need to go." He repeats, softer this time, though not by much, and not for lack of trying, "It's not safe here anymore."

Cassy nodded. She wished she had always been with Meshpito. She longed fro his touch now, and she hoped she would son get it. At least a little touch. Still, she stood with Marie, and tugged her along. " At least for now. Master may have to get rid of her. Either way i'm just glad to be able to help her." she said very lowly.

Mephisto changed form without a second thought, hunkering down so that it would be easy for the two of them to climb on. A thought brushes against Cassy's mind, 'She may stay as long as she likes.' He tells her mentally. At the same time, he gently bombarded the little girl's psyche, searching for damage or manipulation. He wanted to be certain that they wouldn't be tracked and, his profession the way it is, he knew exactly what to look for and soon determined her clean and safe to bring to his home with him.

Marie sheltered her mind able to do so easily. She kept her face down hidden against This strange mans scales. She knew sheltering her mind would bring suspiccion, but at the same time no one could find out who she was. They might be in danger if they did. She didn't want that for anyone. Someone like me should have never even have been born. I
m nothing more than a pest beyond reason. she thought not realizing that it had slipped through her mind. This was something she had always been told. Even by her parents, who sold her because of it.
Cassy nodded. She was happy the little girl could stay. Mephisto was a great master, and she was thankful to have ended up here. She could feel him concentrate on the girl. She didn't know why but she felt him doing so.

Mephisto felt her shield her mind from himself and he frowns. However, the moment that last thought slips out, he grasps it and slips inside for a brief moment, scanning her mind. Again, he came up with nothing, and he let her defenses slam back shut. Once this was done, he took off like a meteor falling upwards to the sky. It wasn't long before he was using the thermals to propel him forward much faster than before to their home.

Cassy leaned against Mesphisto's back, and relaxed her head. She smiled a little, and played with part of his back.

Mephisto tried to ignore her as he focused on flying, but he coudn't help it and would chortle softly when she did. It wasn't long before Mephisto touched down to let Cassy off his back. Then a few moments later, he joined her, back in his humanoid form, and a little tired. It had actually been a bit too long since he had exerted himself in that form, and he was still concerned for Cassy, though. She was most bothered by this whole affair.

Cassy walked beside Him, she had kept her gaze down somewhat, but she simply looked back up to him. " Thank you.. for defending me Master Mephisto. You don't know how much it means to me." She said as she smiled a little.

Mephisto smiled and pulled her close to him, then into his arms, carrying her easily as they returned to his room. He nuzzles her with a soft, yet, playful smile. "Of course. Besides, I wouldn't let just anyone mess with 'my' girl." He adds with a chuckle.

Being picked up in Mephisto's arms made her blushed, and she blushed a little more deeper when he refereed to her as 'his' girl. " I would hope you wouldn't let Just anyone mess with me. " She rests against his arm, and she started to feel a little better.
