If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
Also.. How can something be "new" and "improved"? if it's new, what was it improving on?

Yes. And... New in that context would mean refreshed. Improved would then be... well... self explanatory.

I'm trying to create a Dojutsu and I need help with translation. Now that i've been reading the translations and stuff, im not sure what I want to call them. Eyes that obscure reality maybe?
List:
Eyes that obscure reality Splintered Eyes jeweled eyes
A translation of any of these would be of great help!

While reading over the Eiseijutsu I found sections of certain jutsu saying "Can be retrained +3 to equal a total of", thing of this nature. I don't understand what the requirements for retraining are, if i need to be a certain rank to retrain it or what. Sorry for double posting.

Retraining effectively increases the power of a jutsu to the next rank, and requires the same amount of post as it would take to learn the jutsu. Gennin can only learn techniques up to B rank, and Chuunin only to A, So I believe you are limited to retraining a technique to those ranks at that Level, but once you are Jounin it is wide open.
I'm a medic so i had to figure it out.
I was going to ask about Ressuken, but Yo-ko beat me to it.

For those of you looking for Ressuken, it's all up to whom we have working on the taijutsu right now. It's up to his discretion as to what he's working on at that moment. I know it's bothersome that it's off limits, but until it gets fixed, the old format proves to be ridiculously off setting for the role play standards.

Quote: Nemuri [ Sleep ] Rank: B Official Description: A Genjutsu technique where the Shinobi places their hand on their target's shoulder and forces them into a deep slumber. A useful technique when subterfuge is involved with a mission, but utterly useless in combat. Guild Description: See official description. Base Duration: 5 posts Why is this "Utterly Useless in combat"?! Has anyone heard of the Coup de Grace? Can this simply not be used in a one-on-one fight?

[ Crafty: } The technique needs more than just a tap on the shoulders, you basically have to be massaging the opponent. :I
[ Kotsu & Winter: } Also, in regards to "leveling up" jutsu, I might suggest that you hold back on that unless you've absolutely nothing else to do. Like most everything else in the guild that's barely mentioned, they're old points that were dragged over when the guild merger happened, and they haven't been touched since.

Shinsua [ Crafty: } The technique needs more than just a tap on the shoulders, you basically have to be massaging the opponent. :I Oho~! I see. Perhaps a change in wording? For most things, I wouldn't be so literal though. Sorry about that. I just play a lot of D&D... And in all versions of D&D, 'Sleep' is by far the most powerful spell someone can know at level 1. So that's kind of my mindset, being someone who abused that spell constantly.

Sorry to ask so many questions;
For the sake of having a reason to RP, can a PC (Player character) off an NPC (Non-Player Character)?
IE; For the sake of admitting my relevance, my bloodthirsty character likes to eat fleshy bits of people. However, I don't want to start attacking people for no reason. So is it acceptable to write about finding a wanderer in the woods or something and nomming on him? In some guilds it is, and in others it is not, so I didn't want to just go fudging stuff up.
I just don't think an anime-style-RP would be complete without the necessary evil, but I don't want to sign my own death warrant immediately.
