Mala rolled her eyes and stood patiently in the shadows, watching the depressing people pass her by as she waited for Van to return. She held a troubled look on her face, clearly regretting letting Van out of her sight - even if he would be alright.

Some time later, Van wandered back with a pile of clothes in his arms. "You're in luck. I found a full clothesline that just finished drying." he said tossing her a rather plain dress.

Mala caught the dress, grinning broadly. "Excellent! Now...to find somewhere secluded to change into them." she said. "Did you see any empty alleyways? I don't think we can trust any inkeepers around here until we're in more fitting garb."

"Alleyways? Yes. Empty ones? No. Unless you count the one with a passed out drunkard. I doubt he'll be waking up any time soon." Van said pointing over his shoulder toward the pub.

Mala looked uncomfortable with the thought of changing in front of anybody, even a passed-out drunk. "Are you absolutely certain that's it?" she asked with a frown. After a couple secconds she asked, "So..do you think changing outside of the city gates would be more convenient? I certainly do!"

Mala laughed nervously as she lead the way out of the town for the moment. "Hehehe, okay, let's go then! Once we're 'properly' dressed we'll come back and investigate the matter." she said.

"You aren't seeming to be the only semi-attractive woman for miles. I have a right to be nervous." Mala said, having gone behind a tree to change into the dress. She also tied her hair into a ponytail with one of the linen ribbons she kept from her childhood. Once she was finished she leaned herself against the tree. "Tell me when you're done."

Van just rolled his eyes as he changed. "It's your brother's body, what are you so shy about? It's not like I'm whipping out his junk or anything." he said pulling on the fresh shirt and pants.
((I can't remember ever playing such a crude character. It's making me lol. xd ))

"Ready to go now?" Mala asked, waving one hand towards the town entrance. "We can't afford to waste much time, since it's going to be dark in the next couple hours or so." she warned. "So we'll have to see what we can do within that ammount of time and find an inn afterwards."

"Yes, but this place looks like a hellhole. I can tell that there's a reason for all this depression and it's likely to bite us in the a** if we aren't careful." Mala replied quickly, grabbing Van's hand once more and leading the way. It was kind of cute, in a way, how she babied Riley/Van at times.
