Cale sat in the command chair of the Astral Cleric, pondering the new name he'd give it and letting the bacta application for his leg do it's job.
Rain entered through the hacked open door behind him, pausing to look at the damaged door and shake her head.
"Had to hack through it didn't you, Captain?"
"I'm a stickler for realism. Besides, the door might have been locked." He pivoted the chair to look at his Operations officer. "So whats the news?"
"well, a quarter of the former crew are willing to sign on with us, including, suprisingly, the Security chief Scaly beat the snot out of. The rest we're gonna have to let go."
"Figures. Diehard Republic dogs. Well launch 'em out in escape pods and we'll just have to recruit and re-equip when we pull into StarForge Station."
Rain looked puzzled. "Not Ord Mantell, Sir? Starforge is kind of out of our way."
"That means the surrounding areas won't know the Cleric has gone rogue. Just incase we run into Republic forces."
"Right. However we currently have a problem that needs addressing."
Cale arched an eyebrow."Such as?"
"Theres some dissention among the crew about how this raid was pulled."
"Really?"
"Tyr'ruk is challenging you. He says he can do a better job."
Cale stood up from his chair, wincing as he put pressure on his leg. "That sleeze ball Twi'lek. He's been waiting for a chance to take my command ever since we met that hunter on Ord Mantell. Lets go deal with this before it gets out of hand."

The Void Dragon shot through hyperspace, while Tal got some badly needed sleep in one of the bunks there. Waking up after about 4 hours, he stretched and walked into the cockpit. checking on their status, they were well on their way to Corellia. R9-D5 was cleaning with all the passion of someone with severed OCD. "Dex!" Tal hollered. An series of angry bleeps came back. "The third panel on the fresher can wait, I need you to send a holopacket to someone."

The droid beebed an affirmation and then something else, involving mothers, camels, and a pulley, earning him a thrown plastic drink glass to the top of his dome. As he intoned the astromech equivalent of laughter he trundled alongside, his Holorecorder extending.

Looking into it he said "Greetings Master Brunhildt, My name is Tal'dras Seraphim I'm not sure if you remember me, but we met briefly on Stranas VII. We were racing to capture a Rebel leader. I won. I ahve come into possession of information that you may find extremely useful. I am coming to Corellia to speak with you about it now. Worry not, I am not stupid enough to attempt to kill a Jedi by myself, nor would I, seeing as how there is no contract out on you. I will meet you on Corellia, so be ready. Goodbye." He bowed his head and the Holorecorder deactivating.

"Send that to Mordrana's ship, if you don't mind Dex," Tal'dras said as he extended the back of his pilots chair, letting himself relax as it flattened out. Dex rolled off to do so, and then returned to cleaning.

Smirking at the young man, she places her hand on top of the scanner, letting the computer get a more accurate image. She almost always got her way, and this time was no different. All it took was a certain...persuasion upon these lower creatures, born without the powers of the Force.

A few weeks of rather intense training compared to what Angel was used to passed. She examined the backs of her hands, noticing the redness on her knuckles from the several cane whacks they had taken lately. Fortunately, putting up with the cranky old man seemed to e paying off. She had more balance and discipline as well as a better reaction time. " All this time, I never did ask... Where did you learn all this? " she asked Labrynth.

"Got bored." Labrynth retorted. "Sometimes answers to questions are simpler than we would prefer. Now, Jung!" He barked, ordering the precise move to be executed.
PostPosted: Sat Mar 11, 2006 7:40 pm

" So it would appear, unless of course the real answer you refuse to tell. Only you know the truth. But if you did say the truth, how I can be sure? " Angel said, as she performed the requested move.

"Truth is relative. One can speak nothing but truth, and tell a total lie. Worry less on if they are telling the truth, but rather worry if they are telling the whole story." He thumbed around, looking for his spoon. He quickly found it, and stood ready for an attack.

"Let's see how far we've progressed."
PostPosted: Sat Mar 11, 2006 9:33 pm

" If you can still be as effective fending me off with spoons, either I haven't learned what you tried to teach Trey and me, or you aren't teaching me everything I need to know. " Angel said, as her 1st attack was, as expected, blocked. " Then again, experience is the best teacher. " She attacked again. " Of course, and I would assume you already know, both the student and the master learn from each other in sparring. " Another attack. " I learn of the mistakes I make as you fend me off and render my attacks useless... " Another one. " ... And you learn the potential I have as I come closer to your level. "

"You know, I do record these fights for future embarassment. They make a good source of second income. Jedi losing to old men with spoons volume four is quite nice. In fact..." Labrynth never really finished his sentence, as he found that his circular parry was countered, effectively destroying his grip, causing the spoon to fly.

"We go to Ithor to finish the series." Labrynth picked up the spoon, and turned to Trey. "Let's see what the Y chromosome can do..."

" Tired of me already, or are you just embarassed because you just got beat by a girl? " Angel said, jokingly. She tossed the sword to Trey and sat down, switching places with him. " I wonder if his partial amnesia is any better yet... " she thought, looking at her love.

"You sure you're not mad it took you two weeks to beat an old fart with a spoon?" Labrynth retorted, preparing for Trey's assault.

"Let's go," Trey said, as he spun the sword from hand to hand. After getting accustomed to it, he let out a flurry of swipes and swoops.

In the galley of the Dark Horse, a band of pirates had assembled and were helping themselves to the provisions and alchohol stores. In the center of this band was the Twi'lek pirate, Tyr'ruk, clad in his grey b-wing pilot's uniform. Around him were his cronies, his four A-wing pilots.
Standing on a table, he yelled out at the crowd in a loud voice, holding a bottle of beer up as he shouted.
"That puny runt is playing us all for fools!" He barked. "First, he disbands our fleet at the height of our power! Then, he wastes our time portside for almost a week, while prizes roam free in the lanes! And now he wastes our time and efforts taking this outdated relic! He plans on letting these Republic Nerfs join our estemed band! And worse off, he plans on putting in to port, to hire on more men! As if the pickings weren't slim enough already! Now there'll be even more mouths to feed!"
There was a chorus of agreement from the assembled rogues. The twilek took a pull from his bottle and continued.
"We've wasted enough time listening to that Corellian vrelt's half baked schemes. I say its high time we get ourselves a new captain! One who dosen't force us half way across the galaxy to snag a worthless patrol ship! One who can lead us to the richest prizes and who doesn't play us like pawns in his twisted little schemes!"
"Someone like you perhaps?" Came a voice from the door of the galley.
"Yes, someone like-"The twi'lek blanched when he realized who owned the voice. He and the rest of the pirates turned to the door.
There stood Cale, his face set in a dark expression. Flanking him were his operations officer and his quartermaster.
He limped into the room, his leg not yet healed from the blaster bolt he took. He spoke with a calm, quiet, and grim tone.
"Mister Tyr'ruk. I have remained a fair and honest man in my dealings with my crew. But now I find I've perhaps been a bit to lenient. Your Starfighters, Mister Tyr'ruk, have by far been the most expensive pices of equipment Ive ever bothered maintaining. But always have I tried to make sure you had the parts and equipment you needed to keep flying and doing your job. I have always calmly listened to your arguements and complaints-no matter how petty they were." As he spoke and walked, the crowd parted before him, leaving a clear path between him and the fighter pilot.
"And complain you did. About unfair conditions, about unjust pay, about poor treatment. All of it imagined. For not once were you without a pocket of credits on shore leave, not once did you go hungry, and not once were you unable to do your job. Not under my flag."
He stood looking up at the Twi'lek standing on the table. Tyr'ruk tried his best not to flinch as he looked into the Captain's cold gaze.
"But as I stood there, listening to your fabulous little speech, I found myself pondering your real worth in my fleet. And do you want to know what I've discovered?"
In a split second the outlaw had drawn a knife and buried it in the twi'lek's leg. Tyr'ruk gripped his leg and howled in agony as Cale calmly walked a hobbled gait around the table.
"You are a Treacherous, two faced, slimy hutt, Mister Tyr'ruk. And there is no room, on any ship in my fleet, for a traitorous worm."
Having walked around the pilot, Cale lept up onto the table behind Tyr'ruk and promptly kicked him onto the floor.
"If someone wants to be captain, they better have the gall to tell me about it, instead of inciting my men against me. Ive known whores of your species who've had more choobies than you, Mister Ty'ruk. If it were up to me, I would space you here and now. But, acording to the articles you yourself agreed upon, you will be tried by a court of your peers about your conduct. We will land dirtside, and hold court. Until then, You and your men will be confined to quarters."
Some pirates went to aprehend him and his men and take them to their quarters. They went peacefully enough.
Cale turned his dark gaze upon the rest of the men assembled. "Anyone else wish to question me or my actions?" He asked softly.
No one did.
"Then get the hell out of my galley and get your lazy asses to work, before you join the pilots. Now Move!"
They quickly filled out and got back to the duties they were shirking, leaving Cale and his comrades alone.

" Touche' old man, but I have a skifter up my sleeve. " Angel said, just before they started sparring. " And, instead of watching as I would normally, I'm going to put in some other practice on my own. " she said, changing her mind about observing the bout. She got up and went outside, and soon found herself standing atop the poles. " I may not be the best in his eyes, but I'll be damned if the only progress I make is with him having to talk down to me like a child who is just learning what the Force is. " she said to herself. She started practicing a few basic techniques of unarmed combat, doing her best to stay perfectly balanced on the poles. " Who knows, if I can pull this off, I may suprise the old man. " The few weeks of training have indeed paid off. She could walk, and even run across the poles without losing her balance whatsoever, but she had never had to fight on them. Though some manuevers made her balance shaky a little, she was determined to gain Labrynth's respect. After a failed attempt at a backflip followed by a 360 sweep kick, she found herself face-down on the ground below, an all too familiar view for her as of late. " Someday, I will never see this ground this close again. " she said, as she climbed back up and tried again.

"Hmm, how shall we get to Sildar's Isle ..." Mordranna pondered. "I think we should go to the hangar, and obtain an airspeeder."

And so, the duo made way to the hangar. Once there, Mordranna had noticed that a message awaited her at her ship.
"Let's see what we have here," she mused, activating the holo-message.

"Greetings Master Brunhildt, My name is Tal'dras Seraphim I'm not sure if you remember me, but we met briefly on Stranas VII. We were racing to capture a Rebel leader. I won. I have come into possession of information that you may find extremely useful. I am coming to Corellia to speak with you about it now. Worry not, I am not stupid enough to attempt to kill a Jedi by myself, nor would I, seeing as how there is no contract out on you. I will meet you on Corellia, so be ready. Goodbye." was all the message stated, as the Echani man in the holo took a bow at the message's conclusion.
"Stranas VII ... that sure brings back memories,"
