The powder manages to get into her system despite her coughing and takes effect immediately. Karin starts to feel drowsy. The coughing stops, and Karin gets the feeling of wanting to go to sleep.
Rygear deftly catches the cup in one hand and Karin in the other, laying her down, then setting the cup aside. He points at the fire, making it grow, so that the temperature rises again. He then sets Karin up comfortably and sits down on the couch next to her, watching her.
Rygear sits, watching Karin patiently. He watches as she breathes, his eyes lingering on her face. I've come a log way. Now I have to prove I deserve her love.
Rygear jumps when he feels her wrap her arms around him, but relaxes. He gently scoops her up and cradles her in his arms, looking into her sleeping face. God, I love her...

i...love....u too.. karin says in her sleep smiling.
Rygear's heart skips a beat. He looks down at her, then let's it go, leaning so that he can get more comfortable and keep holding Karin at the same time, his forehead against hers. He mentally casts a spell that will wake him up just before she does, and goes to sleep, snuggled against her.

Rygear sleeps soundly with Karin in his arms, keeping her close for both of their comforts. He strokes her hair in his sleep.
