"I know....but Im not used to it, and its so big!" She told him, and her expression changed to one of delight as he said he'd go with her. "Yay! thank you!" She said, jumping up and hugging his neck.
Thinking for a moment, she plopped back down on his shoulder, sitting so she could easily look at his face. "I don't know...Ive never lived in a big people's home before..What makes this home for you Kromli?"

Kromli's answer came immediately.
"To me, home is where Matasoga is. He is my leader, my captain, and my best friend," he said, proudly. "I hope that you can think of something. I bet Matasoga would get it for you... Or maybe I could. If it's a thing, or some kind of object."

"Oh!"
She immediately thought of something when he mentioned Matasoga or Kromli getting something if it made her comfortable.
"Let me show you my room! He did get me something I want to show you!"
The giant smile on her face and the excited tremor in her body as she tried to keep herself from jumping up. Another thought calmed her down slightly, as she took on a perplexed look.
"Wait...I dont know how to get back..I got lost."

"Oh, well, you live in the slave quarters, right?" he said, before getting flustered.
"Er... What I mean to say is that... Those are just as nice as any of the servant quarters, so don't feel bad. I actually sleep in a room the same size, really," he assured her, trying to keep her from feeling bad.
He knew that he was Matasoga's most able servant, with the most training and best abilities and had been offered a better room, but he turned it down. The servants quarters were more than good enough for him.
He watched closely to make sure that the title didn't sadden her. He saw how Matasoga treated the girls. All girls. He seemed to try and make them feel special, whatever role they played... At least so long as they didn't cross him, and he couldn't imagine Matasoga not liking this delightful little pixie.

She giggled at his being flustered and patted his shoulder.
"Its ok Kromli."
He was really sweet, trying to not make her feel low as she guessed her title could make her feel. Maybe it was lucky Matasoga was her first master. All of this was so different from home, but she liked it, at least when others were around.
"Matasoga is really nice, and I've never lived in a room before, so I wouldnt know what a bad one looked like."
thinking she added,
"He put something in my room that I love, its what I want to show you!"

His smile was crooked, warm, and relieved. He was glad that he hadn't made her feel bad about her role. After all, he would rather be a slave in the service of Matasoga than to have a manner of his own and not know him.
"I'll show you the way," he said, and lead to the third floor slave quarters, checking back often to make sure that she was still with him.
Soon they stood before the three doors.
"Now, do you know which one was yours?" he asked.

She was happy to follow after him, and soon they were at their destination. At his question she grinned and tapped her nose.
"Of course!"
The scent of flowers was heavy at the opening of the door she flew to and she was quick to wave him over before flying inside. What awaited his sight was the same cherry tree that Matasoga had picked up for Leiko, but it had changed.
What had before been a tiny little seedling was now taller, about thigh high on a human sized being. The blossoms that bloomed from the dark bark was a mixed bunch, some pale pale pink, while others were as dark as Leiko's eyes. Its roots stuck out from the mess that consisted of potting soil and what was once a solid plant pot. She found a perch in the tree's limbs, where both could still easily see each other.
"Look Kromli! Matasoga got this for me! It's almost like the trees from my orchard!"

"It's really pretty," he said, taking in the sight of it.
"Uh-oh," he said. "It looks like it made a bit of a mess. Let me check the closet. I think that we have some bigger pots that we had poinsettias in as decorations from X-mas. Be right back."
He came back with a broom, a dust pan, and a larger pot and set to work cleaning.

Leiko's wings drooped slightly as she realized the mess she had made.
"Opps..."
But when he came back and started cleaning she grabbed his hands, trying to stop him.
"You cant do that! You didnt make the mess. Your not suppose to clean it!"

"Oh, don't worry," he said. "Sometimes serving Matasoga means that you go into battle at his side, sometime it means you clean up a little dirt. Besides, you're too small to use this broom. even if you weren't, a pretty little pixie like you shouldn't have to clean like this."
A moment later, after it seemed to sink in that he had said this, his cheeks colored slightly, which he tired to hide by turning slightly while he swept up the last little bit of dirt and shards.

She blinked as he told her why he was cleaning it. And then he added she was too pretty to clean with a broom. She just blinked a few times, as if digesting what he was saying. Then her tiny shoulders started shaking, hands clasped over her mouth as if that could stop the giggles that erupted moments later.
"You *giggle* think im *giggle* too pretty to clean? *giggle* Im a fairy! I get dirty all the time!" She finally managed to get through her laughter. None was directed cruelly, and it slowly died. When he faced her again she pointed to her thigh, then her nose, and showed him her hands, which all were smudged with dirt.
"See? I dont mind getting dirty!"

Kromli lowered his head, a bit, feeling rather more foolish.
"I guess I don't know that much about pixies. Maybe you can educate me," he said.

She walked over to him, patting his hand softly.
"It's OK, I don't know much about big people, so it's even!"
She walked over to the tree, and nimbler than expected she climbed the young treeling. Finding a flower that had yet to bloom she reached out and gently caressed it. Slowly, before their eyes it bloomed to show it's beauty. Looking back at Kromli, hanging upside down, she spoke.
"I'm a cherry tree fairy. I can care for almost any plant, but cherry trees are that I'm best at!"
The pride in her voice said it meant a lot more to her to care for this little tree than one could think.

Kromli listened to her words and watched her tend to the plant and asked "Did this tree fit in that little pot when you brought it home?" he asked, astonished. He hadn't seen it whole, but he could tell from the pieces that it was not nearly enough to house the tree, now.

She shook her head at his question. "Nope, it was smaller when we brought it home. It told me it didnt want to be small anymore so I helped it grow! It wont be hurt, when they're small like me they can do big growths without too much problems." Leiko answered, dropping from the limb and landing on the potting soil with a plunk.
