@Blade/Astalder: "Fae have appeared in the area. Local clans are requesting help to avoid any sort of... accidents." Accidental was the last word the dragon knight would use for a binding from a fae, but he had to chose his words carefully here.
The dragon's eyes rested on Astalder's rider for a moment. "Having a human does not protect a dragon from being bound by a fae. At whim, they have been known to just as easily kill the human before binding a dragon." It may have been a while since any such occurrence but it was only a matter of time before it happened again. Already reports were coming in of dragons going missing despite the advisory to clans that members cut down on traveling at this time.
"Have you been flying long? Where are you heading to? We can escort you to your destination."
@Ares: "That is a Fae. They do not all look the same. In fact, many look nothing alike." The mage walked up closer to the entrapped fairy that was a head shorter than himself and began to walk a circle around it. "They are a magical race, different than humans and dragonkind. They are a part of magic and magic is a part of them by nature. It is how they were born, but some of them do not know how to use it very well."
When he came back into sight after walking around behind it, momentarily watching the fae's wings, he looked at Ares, "No, we cannot keep this one, I'm afraid. We will have to dispose of him when you're finished playing - just like the mice and lizards. Cannot have them running free or they will make a mess of things."
With that the fae's eyes went wide and his wings seemed to beat even faster than they did before.
"Or flying. Can't have you getting away from Ares here right away now can we, little fae?" the mage said as a tendril of dirt crawled around to the fae's backside like a worm. There was a sudden 'SNAP' and a muffled cry escaped the fae.
The wings were barely beating now, whimpering coming from the fae each time they moved as there were now three visible wings instead of four, one shiny reflective one lying on the ground.

Furrowing his brow at the news, Blade didn't care for the image of some Fae swooping down to stab him just for the sake of binding Astalder. The dragon didn't exactly enjoy the idea of it either for that matter for slightly different reasons.
"Sounds pretty messy," the black dragon mumbled before grinning, "We haven't been flying long, but we should be fine without escort. I'm pretty quick in the air and laying low isn't a difficult thing to do. We weren't headed in anywhere in particular, but with this recent news perhaps it would be better if we went back towards the borderlands. I think I'd rather take my chances around there than with the Fae.. It's a little closer too. Thank you for the offer though."
---
With a sense of awe and intrigue, Ares watched this Fae struggle while the Mage explained to him what it was. It was so odd looking that he had to wonder what the others were like if they usually didn't have much in common in terms of appearance. He was slightly disappointed in the fact that he couldn't keep the Fae, but he soon got the idea as it was compared to that of a pest.
"Ooooh, gotcha Big Man," he said while watching as the wings were snapped. That had to hurt. Crouching down as if he was ready to pounce, Ares's tail swayed back and forth with anticipation, "Can I play with it now?"

"I really have not seen her since we last parted ways. I do not have a dragon. And I am really not here to fight. I was just on a walk and saw you. What are you doing out here anyways?" He didn't say anything about the dragon that just took off or the vampires that had been with her.

@Blade/Astalder: 'It is not pretty, but then again nothing ever done by the fae is simple. Your travel choice by right,' the knight answered with a nod. 'One last thing before you go. No troubles with the binding between you and your rider since the mix? Your rider's health been fine?'
He withheld mentioning that the white haired fellow was still out and about. The pair had left before that one had escaped. Or more so disappeared from Gen'yiel without a trace. He'd never seen their magic users so confounded before to the point it was almost amusing to see the usually more stoic intellectuals of their order stumped.
@Ares: The mage's grin grew wide.
"Anytime."
The dirt bindings shattered around the fae's legs and ankles, leaving him free to move, but in his struggling tipped over, a choked sound reverberating through the dirt blocking his mouth as he landed on his ill-worn wings. Without the use of his arms and hands still, the fae struggled to right himself to his feet and run away.
((ooc: Have a thee, little dragon.))

"None that I've been aware of at least. If anything is wrong with it, it's very well hidden, and my rider has been doing fairly well since the mess," Astalder replied. The fact that it had happened still confounded him, seeing how he had absolutely no idea that it was occurring until Sain decided to reveal himself. If that swap could be hidden so easily by the blessed, he supposed they could also do other things without his knowledge. Though at this point he wasn't sure why they would bother.
---
The Fae had managed to scramble up to his feet. Fear and the want to not be harmed further did wonders to get him moving. At this point Ares lashed out, barely missing the being. And so the chase was on.
"Hehe... it thinks it can run from me. Just wait till I catch it! Maybe I should use it like a scratch post first... or a chew toy... or hm...:"
Hearing this, the Fae picked up the pace, but Ares wasn't far behind. In his scramble, the poor creature ended up tripping in which he was promptly jumped on from behind.
"Oh did I say all that out loud?" mused the young dragon like it was nothing, holding down the squirming Fae, "I really need to remember the italics... But you know, you let me catch you too soon. That's strike one!"
Ares dug his claws into his backside, tearing away at the area around the wings. He then hopped off of the Fae and sat obediently with his tail curled around his body.
"Well? What are you waiting for? Get going? You still have two lives yet!"
Struggling, the Fae managed to get back up but as soon as he did, the young Fallen pounced on him once more, this time biting down onto his shoulder hard.
"Too slow! Are all of you Fae this easy to catch? Also your blood kinda tastes like that funny liquid from that guy that jumps through walls shouting 'oh yeah!' or something like that...."
Leaving him alone once more, Ares backed away to see if he would try running again. If so, he'd keep up this cycle for another round or so. If not well then the Fae was no fun anymore.

"Strange walk," she muttered under her breath. The guy hadn't changed since the first time they met. Trying to get him to talk this way would be pointless coming from a guy who disappeared and appeared at random.
"Traveling. Same as your excuse." Two could play at that game. If he was not going to answer anything, she did not need to either. The ranger began to straighten her stance some, still unable to shake the foreboding feeling that crawlled across her skin.
"Then you won't mind if I continue what I was doing," she said as she began to move in a wide circle around Risen, making her way toward the treeline behind him, in about the same general direction as the tree the fake little glow bugs had scurried to before disappearing.

"Why were you chasing bugs? That seems an odd thing for you to do." Risen asked thinking at a rapid speed. "Does it have to do with those vampires that were with you a while ago? I don't think bugs have enough blood to feed a vampire."

"Why would what I do matter to you? You're just passing through," she said, not confirming or denying what had been said, her step getting quicker, the forest drawing closer.
His attention was caught. She could sense it. He was talking more. Maybe there was more to thse 'bugs' than she realized. She had not breathed a word about them. He had spoken it, which meant he had seen them as well. Did he know that she could see them? Why had he been watching them? Were they traveling together, perhaps? So many questions, and this so far was the only hint. Was it the tree? Did they go further in?
In addition to seeing the 'bugs', he also seemed to notice who her traveling companions were. Far too observant for that one's own good, she thought. If he moved one foot or word against them, she knew she would have no trouble testing that new blade of hers on someone's chest.

Risen smiled a little in a knowing way. "It matters because you are interesting. Your aura has changed since last we met." He was walking a fine line.

That was it? At least he hadn't said that the vampires had been interesting.
"Don't care."
She continued to move toward the tree that the souls had last been seen and when she was certain that she was not going to see them as she drew closer, she continued to move farther into the brush. Picking her way past, she aimed for thinned out areas that made it easier to walk through, hoping to come across an animal trail soon to place her feet instead.
As she looked around, she threw the spotlight of her search occationally behind her to check on the stranger's position, trying to listen carefully for anything unusal between the cruching ground beneath her boots. She may be taking a risk, not facing the best direction as she traveled away from him but there was far more cover here than there was in the open grass.

"Alright. Since you won't be social maybe I should go and see how your friends are. One of them was hurt right?" Risen said so she could hear him. The fae and her dragon had had time to get away.
Risen started in the direction that Dark had flown.

Dark covered plenty of ground quickly before he descended from the air to what look like a bunch of fallen rocks that would make a rather nice cave. He landed on top of the large rocks to make sure they wouldn't budge. Which they didn't they were firm enough. Continuing his search for other dragons and animals, he wasn't going to give up this spot. He looked inside and saw that it was far too shallow, raising his head back out while lowering his body so the other two could get off.
"I am going to have to work on it, but this should work."
Micheal moved with his dragon like he was just another of part of him. Even with the red head in between his arms. Once Dark lowered, Micheal slowly let go of Roman and hopped down, landing without making a sound. He felt about as uneasy as the Ranger currently did whenever distance was put between them. To Micheal it just meant he could lose her sooner than what was said to him. Each year she reminded him, and he has to remind himself that if that does happen, he can't be reckless like he had been in the past.
"You've been silent, Roman; how are you feeling?"

"There is nothing to be said, she gets her way again." Roman combed his fingers through Dark's mane as his eyes looked around trying to figure out a way to get down with out moving too much.
"I mean does she even think..." The red head closed his eyes as the fever was reminding him he is only seconds of ending himself if not careful.
Always holding back, always numbing the thoughts of his true emotions, he was tired of it. Bounded by a contract, that only awaken what he truly was. A Monster from the start, he could have prevented his life from being the way it was if he just unlocked his pyro like abilities before being bitten. Then his mother would lived a happier life.
'Damn again, I am thinking of her,' he thought as memories of his mother came and gone. And the craving for more warm and thicker blood.

@Blade/Astalder: 'Something good to hear at least.' That line seemed to be truthful enough as the dragon's wings picked up an extra beat, approving of the news. 'If anything does arise, do seek out Gen'yiel again. Master Lierce would want to know.' He was sure Lierce would want to know about this one, especially if the bobcat ever showed up again.
Just as it seemed the dragon was about to turn off, his head turned back toward Astalder. 'Last bit of advice, avoid the area clans. Between the fae and at least one Tainted spotted, they are being more hostile to outsiders. Not much that can be done until this all dies down. May the winds bring you safe travels.'
With that the dragon knight and spun around and returned back the direction they came.
...
'Who was it you ask?' the dragon knight responded to the question in his mind after getting more than a few winglengths away from the almost pitch black dragon. 'You are not going to believe this...' he begun as he returned to his low flight patrol.
@Ares: And the fae did continue to try and run. With hands and magic bound, dirt filling his mouth so he couldn't call out, and broken wing tallied in, he'd rather run and chance the young dragon than be left to the whims of the other one.
After a while being toyed with again and again the fae did just drop, not being able to take anymore, breathing quick and wheezing, being only able to breathe through his nose.
The mage just watched from far enough away, watching to see what young Ares would do now.

There was a racket that arose from the trees which the ranger had entered in, a clatter of sticks and twigs snapping against the leaf liter of forest floor as it struck when they fell.
Something landed fast from the sky in the direction ahead that Risen had chosen, the air kicking up and sending ripples through the grass as leather boots made contact with the ground. Black wings sat semi raised over shoulders, a blade pointed in Risen's direction by the time the grass had swung back up without anymore rippling.
"Touch them and I will skin your hide, regardless of anything you may or may not have done before now. Turn and go back the way you came."
