'Ugh, man that hurt' Troy thought as he gained consciousness. He then looked over at the door of the pawn shop and saw the other survivors at the front of the shop about to shoot at something. He got up then felt a sharp pain in his left leg he looked down at it and there was a piece of glass in his thigh, noticing that it was not in a major artery he clinched his teeth and pulled it out then let out a grunt. After that he up his M1 Garand shouldered it then walked up to the survivors saying "Nice to see I had some protection while I was incapacitated." He then got out his shotgun and aimed it right at the vampire's heart area seeing the blood lust in his eyes then said "That fall really hurt and now Iam going to return the favor." With a pull of the trigger he hit the spot he wanted to hit and the vampire hit the ground Troy then let the others see if he was dead while he leaned against the shop wall grabbing his thigh to keep pressure on it. As he applied pressure to it he looked up to see what was happening and he saw that Nicole was looking at him with a half worried half relieved look on her face so he said to her "Is something wrong Nicole?"

"I've got this." Before the vampire could make a move, Daniel flipped the blade backwards and decapitated the vampire. "It tried to kill a friend, a brother. No matter what the situation, It cannot be forgiven. I only hope that you can forgive me." He walked solemnly bact to the train, whacking a stray zombie on the head as he did so.

Ellie couldn't help but look away when they killed the vampire without any hesitation. Well, they had to. Once they're in that state, the chance that they could be reawakened was very rare. Walking over to the headless body, she bowed her head in respect for one of her fallen brethren. Whether by the sword or the lack of blood, it didn't matter. Just as she was about to walk away, she spotted something on the body; the left pectoral bore the tattoo of a heartagram. With wide eyes, she whipped her head around wildly, as if looking for something.

As Daniel stepped aboard the train, He could sense the solemn quiet, the eyes of everyone that remained while they ventured forth. He knew that the vampire he killed was unable to resist the urge, was too far gone to return to sanity. He'd seen it before, his former partner, Jericho Zenach. He became a vampire after being infected by the original strain. Of course, he still remembered his friends from his foes, and only drank donated blood, and the blood of his enemies as an ironic way to symbolize their fate. But on one mission near the ruins of Babylon, Daniel and Jericho were separated, and for several weeks Daniel and a squad of soldiers searched for the lost vampire. Then they found him, thirsty and unable to control himself. He had rushed straight at Daniel, before getting a bullet from a Desert Eagle in the chest. Daniel had tried to get his old friend to recover, offering up his own blood. But the Jericho that they knew was gone, replaced by the beast before them. Daniel had to kill Jericho, and he hated it, hated himself for it. Killing that vampire at the shop reminded him of that incident. He pulled out his Desert Eagle, and saw the inscription that Jericho had carved in the slide. "To my friend, the original devil hunter, Daniel Wolfe" Jericho liked calling enemy vamps devils. Daniel himself had taken to it as well. He calmed himself that the vampire had become a devil, and therefore deserved to die.

Tyler stooped close to the vampire, and noted the thick, black blood staining its hands and face. In his desperation, the vampire had tried to feed on the ghouls. "Even if he got the blood he needed...there wasn't much else we could have done for him. He drank zombie blood. Before too long, he'd just become another infected." Tyler noticed Eleanor looking for something. He made a note to ask her about it later. In the meantime, he approached Daniel. "Listen, tough guy. We'd all like to think we're invincible, and can go out on our own whenever we like, but that is not always the case. You were lucky we were close enough to come help you today." He felt his voice elevate, and was reminded of when he first met Ellie. He had yelled at her in a similar manner. "Look, I'm not trying to be an a**. But until we find anyone else, we're all that's left of humanity. We cannot afford to run off alone. Next time you have to go find closure, you take someone with you!" he barked. Then, before his guilt would make him apologize, he wandered back over to Eleanor, placing a comforting arm around her shoulders.

Daniel sat in silence, taking in what he had done. *Foolishness, Daniel. Foolishness. You should've known better. Tyler's right. I should've had James, somebody with me.- "Any apology I make may fall on deaf ears, but for a while, I had the gut feeling he was alive. I had to check. You saw his body, he was dead for less than twenty minutes. We may have had someone else. And as you said, we may be the last Living. We can't afford to fight amongst ourselves." Daniel dismanteled his guns, starting with his PSG-1, and cleaned them.

"Of course, you become what you eat. I guess that goes especially for zombies..." Nicole remarked, overhearing Tyler talking about the dead vampire. She ran a hand through her hair as she thought. If that was true, then she was a little glad that they'd put that poor person, or vampire, out of any future misery. "Ah, I'm just wondering how you didn't get hurt seriously from falling from that height. Besides glass in your leg. Kepp that pressure there, I brought some first-aid with me. Need to find the right gauze first." she said to Troy, smiling. She had brought a sorry excuse for a first aid kit with her, so she searched through it for the right thing. While she did that, she called over to Daniel cleaning his gun, feeling a little sorry for him finding his friend dead. "I'm not deaf, 'least I'm not. I don't blame you either for rushing off by yourself. But I think wer should start going off in pairs if someone needs to check something." then she went over to Troy and pulled out the gauze to a long length, also handing him a small bottle of peroxide. " 'Kay, first pour this peroxide on it. Don't want it getting infected...Heh heh...Infected..."

Stryker had made great progress with the car in the garage. He had probably known what it was when he hadn't been a zombie, but right now, he didn't care. It was all ready to go, besides the fact that he still needed to put some gas in from one of the scattered gas cans. He grunted as he lifted one up, balancing it on a knee and tipping the opening into the car's tank. "Hey Gravie!" He called to Gravemind stading outside, looking forlorn. "You thinkin' about walkin' there? Get your a** over here and help me if you don't!"

Troy poured the peroxide on the wound clinching as it worked its stuff then took the gauze from Nicole and wrapped the wound area of the leg up good. After he finished he smiled at Nicole and said to her "Thanks Nicole for the first aid as for the notion of not getting hurt as bad as I should of I just don't know, but anyway I just glad you are with me making sure Iam alright." He checked the bandage just to make sure that it was perfect then he looked up and saw Tyler and Ellie looking at the vampire and he could tell that she was saddened by the death of that vampire. He made a mental note to say that he was sorry for killing that vampire to Ellie but he had to get to the train so he could rest that leg.

Russ walked upon the survivors. "Sorry. What I miss?" Russ saw the dead vampire. "Hmmm, well you'll be glad to know that our immediate area is zombie free."

((By the way, we seem to be leaving Dragon behind. Let's wait for her to post, shall we?))
"This is what happens when vampires are cut off from a supply of human blood. It's been taken care of. Anyway, I've beefed up the armory considerably. Now the newcomers can come with us on our little expeditions." Tyler pulled thin gloves onto his hands, and picked up the head of the vampire. He carefully set it down near the body, and closed the eyes. He then tugged off the gloves and tossed them down onto the corpse.

((Thank you Silas! At least someone cares!))

Ellie grabbed onto Tyler's arm before he could walk away. "No," She said in determination. "We can't leave yet." Closing her eyes, she concentrated on all the sounds of the area. Suddenly, she shoved Daniel out of the way, only to get tackled to the ground by yet another vampire. She, too, was blood deprived. But, fortunately, she hadn't resorted to ghoul blood, which was a good thing; it meant that she still had a little sense in her to steer clear of the nasty rotting odor the zombies produced... But still not enough sense to recognize one of her own. She lunged down for Ellie's neck, but the other used the pole of her new naginata to block her and hold her back. The insane vampire continued to snap at the silver-haired girl like a wild dog, completely ignorant to the pole at her neck, some spittle flying from her snapping jaws as well. "Someone get her off me!" Ellie shouted, having a bit of trouble holding her back now. "Don't kill her! I know how to calm her down!"

Tyler put the vampire in a full nelson, and pried her off with some difficulty. Naturally, she was strong, but the lack of blood had weakened her enough for Tyler to restrain her. He noted with some relief that there were no ghoul's bloodstains on or around her face. Her own blood might still be clean, and she could probably be saved. Tyler kept a watchful eye on the vampire's slashing claws, and very nearly caught one in his eye. "I can't hold her much longer. Whatever you're fixin' to do, do it quick, darlin'!" The stress of the day had made his southern accent more evident. ((Full nelson's the one where your arms are under theirs, with your hands locked behind their neck, right?))
