Jak played stupid, "Evidence? What evidence? I have no idea what you're talking about!" She gave a fake laugh and began inspecting her finger nails. "But say that I did have something resembling evidence, what ever do you have in mind?"

With a quick motion, Imogen caught one of the wallets with her cane and launched it into her other hand. Weighing the contents she spoke with her airy tone.
"Well if you are wearing the walking fruit stand's coat I would believe he would need a replacement. More interesting however would be getting to browse the marketplace for maps and ammo."
Grabbing yet another wallet from Jak, Imogen left towards the sound of bargains and the scent of raw fish.

Jak made another noise and frowned. "I was gonna buy one for myself and give his back actually," she mumbled. She followed Imogen up the street feeling a little like a scolded child. She eventually stopped pouting and started watching the people in the marketplace. Aside from the cold it was like every other marketplace she'd been too, but for some reason she found this one more interesting. She stopped walking and stared at a stand selling what looked like wind-chimes made from ice. When she came out of her trance, Imogen was no where to be seen and she was alone. 'Dammit where did she go,' she thought as she looked around the crowd.

El Diablo Loco continued to walk around the Marketplace. Still having no luck finding Scott, he got tired of searching, "If he needs me, he'll know where to find me- Thank the Gods I'm just that predictable." He was now walking back in the direction he had just come from, to go to the bar that was back a few feet away, when a shop caught his eye; It was a men's store. Diablo looked at his clothes, "Hm." he thought, ". . . I do need a small wardrobe update." he said to himself, and then strolled in. The moment he walked in he was hit with the aroma of men's cologne, genuine leather, and the smell of fine cloths. If elegance had its own smell, Diablo certainly thought the way that the shop smelled would be the perfect description. El Diablo Loco walked deeper into the shop, the lights weren't too dim nor too bright, and the music playing on the inside even sounded fancy. Diablo was an absolute sucker for 'fancy'. "Can I help you, Sir?" said a thin man with a balding head and a thin mustache. Diablo turned to him and he said with a smile, "Si!!- I'm looking forrrrr. . . Something-" "- In black, perhaps?" Diablo was a bit startled. He didn't even know what he wanted yet, but something in black was sounding good. He smiled and he said, "Si! Black sounds good!" The balding store clerk smiled and said, "Right this way, Sir." the clerk lead him to this section of the store that held very nice button-down shirts. The black ones looked very appealing to Diablo, and so was a red one. Especially the red one. It reminded him of Jak's hair a little bit. The clerk took a couple black ones off of the rack, and handed them to Diablo, "Try these on, Sir." he said. Diablo nodded, then went into the fitting room. A moment later he came out wearing one of the black shirts. This one had a very western-like abstract design on the left side of the chest. Diablo looked at himself in the mirror- The lights made the shirt look very flattering on him. He loved the way his chest looked, and he loved how his arms looked as well. Diablo unbuttoned a few of the buttons on the top and made it so that some of his chest was exposed, "Ohhhhhhh YES!" he said. The Clerk smiled, he seemed so pleased with himself. Diablo looked over at the clerk and he said, "I'll take this one!" The clerk kept his smile and said, "Very good, sir! And the red one?" Diablo suddenly took the black shirt off, he handed it to the clerk and then put on the red one. The moment he put it on, he let out an 'Mmmmmm' and then smirked at himself in the mirror. The red one looked perfect on him! It felt very comfortable, and it felt warm. Diablo smiled at his reflection, and he asked, "How much for these two shirts?" The clerk smiled brightly and he replied, "All together?- Fifty thousand gold!" Diablo wasn't surprised with the pricing, but he smiled and said, "I'll take these- AND! Your best smelling scent!" The Clerk then walked Diablo to the front counter where there was a wide assortment of colognes. Diablo picked out the one with the more subtle smell to it, "Ah! 'Valuan Spice'! Good choice sir!" Diablo paid for his shirts, and cologne, and after he walked out of the shop he quickly sprayed himself then tossed it back into the bag. He had hoped he would bump into Jak later on. .

Jak decided it would be the best idea to keep moving and not look lost. She didn't exactly look her age and being on the shorter side tended to encourage the wrong sort of attention. She took her time inspecting the different booths and vendors. She found several more booths selling the odd looking wind chimes and couldn't help but stop and stare at them. One of the vendors caught her looking. He was a large man with a big round belly and short stubby legs who sat a few feet back from the table in a chair. He smiled at her and said in a deep whispering voice, "You like them aye?" Jak smiled, "Oh yes they are very pretty." The man got up from his chair and waddled over to her. "They are made from special crystals that like to pretend to be ice. My family has been making them for generations. Could I interest you in one my dear?" Jak bit her lip and shook her head, "I better not. I don't have that much gold and I have to buy a new coat." The man pointed to the one she was wearing and asked with a touch of humor in his voice, "What is wrong with the one you got on, yeah? It is a fine coat!" "Well it's not mine, ya see? I barrowed it from a friend because I don't have one of my own." she said. The man raised his eyebrows and said, "Ahhh! I see then. Well how about I cut you a deal? I will give you the crystals for half price! Only twenty thousand for the one you where admiring! You won't find a better deal anywhere else!" Jak pouted and said in a disappointed tone, "Oh I don't have twenty thousand gold...maybe next time." The man frowned and nodded, "Very well my dear, and if you happen to come by that much before you leave town my offer still stands!" Jak gave the man one last smile before turning around and walking back the way she came. 'Twenty thousand gold for something that will probably melt as soon as I get it on the ship!? No thank you!' She rounded a corner and to her surprise she spotted Diablo down the street outside of a pricey looking man's clothing shop. 'What's he doing there?' she thought. She started down the street and got a wicked idea. She hurried quietly down the street and crept up behind him. She got as close as she would dare and said, "Boo!"

Near the very end of the hustle and bustle of the marketplace was an old map shop that looked like one the oldest buildings in town. Owned by an old man barely taller than his counter he never had a problem when it came to business. As a trader of maps and navigational gear he would get new customers with every docked ship. His maps varied from world to each landmass and decorated the interior of the shop. He also had a collection of beautiful maps by the most skilled map makers of the time placed behind glass.
Today however, as he stood on his step ladder, he was having an aggravating time trying to convince his newest customer the value of two particular maps.
"I can't go any lower miss," said the map merchant. He tried seem more impressive by putting his hands on his hips. To no real avail, of course.
"Then I'll just have to take my business elsewhere," replied the airy tone. The tall lady, wearing a white veil around her eyes, began her to exit the shop when the man yelled after her.
"Alright, ALRIGHT! 30 thousand for both of these. I don't know think you see their true value. Take my word, not many Nortaveli's maps are out there or even many maps that can match his."
"I'm quite aware."
"You sure you wouldn't be more interested in our brail editions? Certainly they would be more use to you."
"I assure you I'm not interested. Just pack up the maps I came for." Imogen put the amount on the table as the man placed the two maps in a container. It had been a long sale and it still boggled him why a blind woman would care for a map. Let alone maps of such high caliber.
Imogen kept her reasons to herself as the maps hit her side while she went back into the crowd.

El Diablo Loco let out a shriek, and almost dropped his bag, he turned around and saw Jak standing there behind him. "Jaklyn!- Good God, don't scare me like that!" he said, then started laughing. He looked around, then he looked down at Jak, "What are you doing out here all by yourself?" Diablo switched hands; He put the bag in his left hand, then placed his right hand into the pocket of his warm black trousers. While waiting for an answer, he looked around for a place to eat; He was feeling pretty hungry at this point.

Jak laughed at his reaction and then frowned at his question. "Hey! I'm a big girl and I can take care of myself! I don't need a babysitter," she said defensively. Then she added softly, "I was with Imogen. We where having some fun with some of the locals until I lost her in the crowd." 'I need to get a coat ASAP. He's freezing,' she thought as she looked at him. "What are you doing out here?" she asked after a moment.

El Diablo Loco stuck out his tongue, then stood up straight, trying to make himself tower over her. "What am I doing here?- Ohhhhh. . . Just enjoying the. . Um. . . Kind of nice. . . Weather- Y'know, that's not important." Diablo flashed a smile, then he said, "Let's go get some food- my stomach is yelling at me." Keeping his smile, he motioned for Jak to follow him. Of course, a part of him really wanted to get out of the cold, the other part of him was actually very hungry- A big steak, well-done, with some spicy herbs on the side sounded VERY good to him. To go with that, he thought of getting some wine to go with that.

Jak felt a pang of guilt when he mentioned the weather. "Uh..Food? Seriously...I was gunna go coat shopping. I'm not really that hungry," she said. Diablo gave no sign of having heard her and she glared at his back. She groaned and ran to catch up with him. 'I hate being short! I hate being short! I hate being short!' she thought crossly. She managed to sort of fall into step with him.

El Diablo Loco let out a 'Hehe' when he saw Jak's short self struggling to keep up with him, He looked down at her and he said jokingly, "Need me to slow down for you, Short stuff? Ha ha." Diablo teasingly walked slower for her. Up ahead, Diablo began to see restaraunts, he smiled and then he heard his stomach growl. He laughed and then he said, "That's what happens when a man misses breakfast."

Jak resisted the urge to flip him off and managed to keep up with him without looking like she was running. "Gees...your stomach sounds like it hasn't had anything in it weeks," she commented. She noticed the restaraunts up ahead and growled, slightly out of breath, "Hurry and pick a place...my feet are killing me."

El Diablo Loco laughed, "Geez, Jaklyn, you're such a woman." El Diablo Loco and Jak eventually found a decent place to eat, the place was a bit pricey but Diablo was STARVING, so this had to do. The inside of the restaurant looked fancier than it did on the outside. Red velvet seemed to be used everywhere; For the drapes- the furniture even had that stuff on them. And upon entering you could see a red carpet on the floor leading up to the front desk, and to the podium where the guy would take you to your seat. Diablo looked around the room and he said out loud, ". . . Oh yeah,. . I can already feel my pockets getting lighter." he saw Jak roll her eyes then the two of them were taken to their booth, which was located in the corner of a nicely dim-lit room. The room didn't looked to populated though, "I wonder why. . ." Diablo thought sarcastically to himself. Just across the room was a bar, fully stocked of the best alcohol in the City, and sitting there on one of the stools was a Valuan soldier- Judging from the way his uniform looked, he was a high-ranking officer. Diablo just smiled and shook his head, "Hm. Powder puff." Once Diablo and Jak were situated in their booth Diablo grabbed the menu, and the first thing he did was look at the dinner specials first instead of the Appetizers.

Jak, who wasn't really all that hungry even though she hadn't eaten all day either, said, "I want an appetizer." She looked up at Diablo with a small but slightly smug smile.

El Diablo Loco looked up from his menu to see Jak smiling. He paused for a moment and sat there, staring at her until he finally caved and said, "Fine. We'll get one." He sighed, and then looked over at the Appetizer section of the menu.
