Turning her head, she heard a crash behind her, whatever it was she had found was deciding it was pointless to run through the maze. Joy. "Right now, just worry about watching your own tail!" She shouted, suddenly turning to fire four shots from each pistol, hearing a loud shrieking hiss as a result behind him. All she could see was a blur, something disguising it's energy signature from her. Dammit. Grimacing, Ranka was looking ahead, spinning her scythe in her hand before she suddenly brought it down, another screech following suite. "It would appear they are split. Perhaps it is simply a creature of the school?""Don't know, don't care. I can't read them." Nor had she spotted them yet. Maybe there were shadow beings that were being influenced by the darkness in the air. If that were the case, this could get interesting.

((I skimmed through the posts so if I missed something I apologise)) Elly hadn't noticed anyone come out of the cafeteria, hoping that the teachers would keep them in there and hold to her announcement. Unfortunately Vira was out and she noticed Tristan so she wasn't too concerned. But then one of the students did something and killed the mermaids, and this was when Elly took action and saw who did this. "NO NO NO! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU GUYS ARE DOING?!? No one told you to kill them! Now what are you going to do?! Students were to go to the cafeteria so we could avoid things like this. Do you know how angry they're now?!" she reprimand to them, very very angry, a rare sight to see. She jumped off of Syon, a great height at that, and ran over to where the others were at. Her face was definately anger inforced. "I know you're trying to help, and I appreciate that, but did you ever think twice that we were tryinging to make piece with them, rather than just attack? That's why we've been blocking the attacks instead of fighting them. Sure I might have shot light arrows, but mine aren't made to kill but to infuse light into their darkness. Please, go to the cafeter-" but Elly was cut off by a ppiercingly loud screech, a mermaid screech at that. She quickly spun around to see what caused it. One of the mermaids, a royal based on the color of their crown, which all mermaids had. It was a shimmery pink color, all other having white or grey ones. One of the royals lay on the floating lake surface, the head of it propped in its lovers arms. The lover was unfortunately the one mermaid from earlier the night before. Elly felt fear go through her body as the mermaid was done screeching and stared at her in furry. the bad part about royals is that they had special powers, but no one knew them until they unleashed them.
Suddenly Atlas appeared with the other teachers, though one was missing, obviously doing something else. he rushed over and asked Elly what had happened. She couldn't lie to him so she told him what happened, someone killing the mermaids and that happening. "I was afraid this was going to happen. You couldn't prevent this, so don't feel bad. Just tell the other students to go back to the cafeteria. If we need their assistance, i'll have the faculty prep them on this. I have found out that the mermaids are working together with the darkness, but it's not someone that is on the files... and you aren't going to like who it is..." Atlas told elly and she gave him a look like she couldn't think of who else there would be. Suddenly, there was an explosing noise towards the building where the faculty offices were. "Damn it they found the weak mirror..." Atlas said under his breath and with a flash of brown smoke he vanished.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As Atlas appeared in his designated area, an abandoned classroom with desks flung everywhere, partly chared. A large cracked mirror hung on the wall where a chalk board should be and a person stood in the darkness, flames extinguished in front of him. "How nice of you to send your greetings after all of these years... Why now and not earlier?" he asked, standing there with his hand in his pocket and the other pushing his glasseds up. The person only smiled and in a flash, shot at Atlas. Fortunately, Atlas saw theis coming and lit, widened and glew, a huge black spot at the figure. The figure redirected its course to the hole where the mirrow was, but Atlas flashed over to the wall and somehow, rebuilt it. It was in a flash and it seemed as though he used time to do it, like the whole scene was replayed."Looks like you've been waiting for me to come to this school... Do you like to give your students a challenge old man? You might not know this, but I saw you in the past and I even saw you time travel back here, though at the time I didn't know what here was. How old are you really? I know you've had to have gone to the future from the past and saw that this happened... why didn't you stop it? You must be a bad guy, but what would that make me? I know I'm bad but you're sick, letting that happen to Bobby and Elly. My my... Bobby was supposed to be brilliant yet he died and you let that happen didn't you? Oh my! What would Elly think if she knew...?" the figure asked, an evil grin taking over his face. "I won't ever let her find out. There was nothing I could do" he insisted, lighting his hands up with a mixed color of purple and black."Oh, but I think you will. I mean, you've seen it already haven't you? Or maybe youre mind is going because you are extremely old and it can't keep up with your time traveling? Here, i'll end your suffering and tell her myself, how bout that?" he asked lighting his own hands.

(( Sheryl actually brought the mermaids back to life. xP And she was thrown back down to the ground and punished sooooo.... errr.... if it's ok, I'm just not going to react to that. >.< Or wait, here, this is how I got around it. xP)) Vira saw Elly going off, but when she looked back to the lake, she saw that the two that had been dead were now alive again, the two lovers hugging each other tightly. "Uh.... Elly? They're fine now." She spoke, touching a hand to her shoulder. Breaking down the bubble of ice around them, she saw the mermaids were a bit calmer, the shock of the two lost and now back from the dead seeming to leave an impression. And well, the students she had been yelling at were already gone. "Lets just relax ok?" She offered,
Looking up as Atlas appeared, she fell silent, blinking at the sudden explosion come from the one building. Mirrors? People could travel through mirrors? Actually, it did make sense.... Shaking her head a little, she watched the mermaids warily and they watched her in the same fashion. "Ok, so now that they seem pacified, what do we do? Don't make me go in there. I don't want to accidentally cause trouble. And you know what I mean." She asked Elly, brushing some hair behind her ear. She held ready should the mermaids begin to attack again, but her expression was one that was nervous. Considering how the past day had been for her, she was really worried she'd lose control again. And with everyone packed in tight like that.... the result would be horrible.

Seiji still couldn't see anything, but he could certainly hear them. Whatever was suddenly upon them, he didn't want to take the chance of being attacked. When Sheryl began to fire, Seiji let his Kei run throughout his body, surging with energy. His body blurred with the purple aura, and as Seiji moved to get out of the way he turned slightly to check what had been behind him.
He still couldn't quite see what Sheryl had been shooting at. But upon her bullets striking something, he could tell it was there. Barely, but he could see hints of the thing. Rather than staying still to combat it, Seiji kept himself moving. Keeping an eye on the twins, Seiji could feel his Kei flowing freely. He moved from position to position, seeming like little more than an indigo blur. So far he was safe. For the time being anyway.
Stopping for a few moments, Seiji gripped his Dite tightly, and looked to Sheryl. "If it can be hurt than we have nothing to fear. If you can guide me somehow to strike it I'll make sure it doesn't get back up." Seiji was confident in his power. Not only would the blade of his katana slice through it, the Kei would have an added effect. At least, from everything else he had fought it had. Hopefully these beasts were the same.

Sheryl suddenly stopped, Ranka doing the same, falling still. "It's hard to sense them... It's like they are cloaked..." She turned and fired two shots, a whine following soon after. Looking in front of them, the creatures looked like lizard dogs or something. It was weird and kinda.... icky.
Glancing around, she heard Ranka's scythe come down on another one, the twins backing up so the three of them were together. "well Seiji.... I think that ones the alpha male or whatever system they seem to work on..." She pointed her pistols to one that was a bit larger and well... meaner looking. It was like it had some knives mixed into it's form or something. Putting her pistols away, she drew her gunblade and flicked it out, the sword gleaming in the light. "Alright.... shall we strike at once?" She asked, a semi-circle of the creatures now around them. Their backs were to a wall which could be easily blasted through, but considering the yelling she heard from the lake it was better they weren't seen.

"I still don't trust those mermaids. Atlas told me they are under control of whoever released that black orb of darkness. They wouldnt just attack and then attack again because of a loved one getting hurt. No, that person must have bartered with them. Atlas said that the mermaids arent really on anysides, though it depends on their prize. And no Vira, I want you to wait with the others in the cafeteria. The reason why I was 'flipping out' before was because people I knew were attacking others and that usually results in getting attacked back. I'm trying to protect you all by putting you in there. We ll need you all in one place in case something bigger comes and we need help, you know?" she told her seriously at first but then more calm as her true in tentions were coming out. It was all true too, for seeing someone get hurt because of them not listening made Elly not only angry with them, but at herself for not being able to help them, just like herself with Bobby...

Vira narrowed her eyes, bringing up a shield that blocked their fire, frowning a bit at least to the bit about mermaids. No, where she got upset was when Elly told her to go back. She stiffened, the wall of water suddenly collapsing as a large breeze kicked up. She forced them both to calm, her hands shaking a little. "Elly, I can't trust myself to not lose control and potentially kill everyone in there. Tristan can't knock me out like he could with you. The wind and water spirits would only spin more out of control. He's tried." She cringed at the memory, the water in the lake roiling around a bit, settling back into an ice dome over them so they couldn't attack hopefully. They could move around on the surface, but their attacks wouldn't work unless it was dispelled or destroyed.
"Even if something bigger does attack, what if you can't protect everyone in there? What if it ends up a slaughter? Elly, I can't... I can't go in there. I can't take that risk that I'll kill them!" She was getting worked up, taking a deep breath as a breeze was kicking up again. Don't lose it...

Looking around, Seiji's eyes were beginning to adapt. If he concentrated, he could see the outline of them. Whatever they were. Though, if there were cloaking themselves to hide from them, then maybe they were much like a chameleon. Or had some sort of chameleon type attribute. Disperse their energy signal and blend in with their environment. That was the sort of image Seiji was getting.
Whatever they were, it didn't matter. How they functioned wasn't of great importance as the moment. They seemed to be trying to entrap the trio. That was something Seiji couldn't allow. He looked about for a moment, trying to count how many there might be. He gave up on the thought and started forming a strategy in his mind. Only until Sheryl's voice broke through again.
"No." He replied, shaking his head. "Not yet. Give it a moment." Taking a quick glance around their surroundings, Seiji thought it better to take a defensive front on this point rather than an offensive one. He focused on his Dite, the Kei quickly flowing into it. Seiji had told Sheryl that his katana held more than one capability. Now was the time to show one of those. Hopefully it worked how he wanted it to.
"Restoration 01." This was the only words that Seiji spoke before he started to move. He was a blur of indigo once more, and as soon as he started to move, so did the creatures. However, this was what Seiji had been hoping for. Leaping to the top of the wall and then from there into the air, Seiji held his weapon high. The Dite was no longer a katana, but an odd looking device. It still held the handle of the katana, but looked similar in apperance to a short staff or baton.
The Dite glowed brightly with the Kei, and as Seiji began to spin about in the air, his manuvered in such a way that almost seemed beyond that of a human. As he did so, the Dite began to release strands of purple Kei, each strand shooting out quickly. The strands attached themselves sometimes to the wall, other times the hedges, the ground, or even another strand. By time he had finished, Seiji had created something similar to a web of Kei strands, and had trapped a few of the creatures. One unfortunate beast had kept moving and the sliver thin strands and cut clean through it. As Seiji descended, he landed upon a strand, his body feintly outlined in Kei. He smiled confidently, standing a few feet above Sheryl and Ranka.
"I think that might buy us a little more time." The Psyharden said with a bright smile. "If you can pick them off from here, I imagine it will be easier on all of us."

Sheryl nodded once, holding a pistol ready just to be safe. Blinking, she watched him jump up, the twins frankly not quite expecting that. Once the net was formed, she blinked twice, a grin spreading across her features. Well now, that did make things a lot easier! "Oh definitely. Ranka? Shall we?" Looking to her sister, the two held a similar stance, looking to the rest of the creatures that were left. "We shall." Ranka answered, spinning her scythe before the two leaped forward, the blades of their weapons gleaming in the light. They matched each others motions, almost seeming like a dance as their blades became blurs of motion. She brought her scythe down and spun it, spinning it to stab another in the head. Her sister was doing similar work with her gunblade, both side-stepping as two of the things jumped at them. Turning, they jumped back and cut the one that aimed for the other. For once, Ranka smiled as her sister did, a small one but it was there.
The rest that were left whined and backed up, running if they could. Flicking her scythe with her wrist, the blood flew off, looking to the bodies that were there. "Forgive me for causing you such trouble... Please, move on with your pack..." Her seal faintly glowed once more, holding out her hand as the spirits floated up to her hand.Sheryl grinned once they were done, smiling softly at how her sister always behaved after killing so. Murmuring something in their own tongue, the creatures reformed and came back to life, breaking into a run after the rest of their kind. "Well, now that we're home free-" She stopped as she heard the explosion come from the other building on the other side of campus, looking to the other two. "Er... I suggest we avoid that area. Atlas is with someone.... One of the attackers I'm going to assume." She told them, flicking the blood from her blade before wiping it with a cloth, reverting it back to it's smaller shape and slipped it into it's sheath, frowning a bit.

Seiji watched from above as the twins dealt with the remaining creatures, making sure to tweak and Kei strings when necessary. His web has been designed to put a stop to the beasts' motions, not theirs. When all had been said and done, Seiji sighed and leapt from his spot, touching down easily.
The strands quickly faded away into a lesser energy form, almost as if they had never been there in the first place. Meeting up with the twins, Seiji scanned the area once more, hoping that all of the pack had left rather than hoping to get the drop on them. When he felt safe, Seiji sighed and let his shoulders droop a bit.
"Restoration". He muttered to himself, as the Dite glowed and shifted back to its katana shape. "Well, I'm hoping we're a little more safe now." Seiji said, smiling once more. As he spoke he looked between Ranka and Sheryl. "So long as there's no more surprises around, I think we're safe for the time being."

Sheryl couldn't help but giggle a bit as his shoulders visibly relaxed, not worrying about the danger that was distant from them. "We are. But I mean, they know we're out and about it would seem. And considering the enemy has shown it's face, I wonder what we should do.... But besides that...." She suddenly pointed to Ranka who appeared neutral and unreadable per normal. "You were smiling!! That is fantastic!" She clapped her hands together, a bright grin on her features. Ranka nodded once, also pulling a cloth free to wipe the blade of her scythe, the blade lowering towards the hilt as she re-hooked it to her back, looking to the two of them. She put her eye-patch back, figuring it best since for the moment the danger was gone. Blinking at her sisters excitement, she tilted her head a bit, touching her lips in puzzlement. "Rara?" She murmured, looking between them. She was confused, why had she smiled? "Ignoring that for the moment, what should we do?" She asked softly, her hand lowering to her side.

Had she? Seiji hadn't noticed much of the twins' facial expressions. He'd been concentrating on keeping his eyes focused on the beasts. Otherwise his whole manuveur would have been useless. But, if Sheryl had said so than he was sure it would true. Who else would know any better, or notice such a thing during the battle?
It meant Ranka was slowly learning what it meant to be human. Or rather, experiencing all the things that humans did. The emotions and the like. Despite he often blank face and lack of expression, just the fact that she had to stop and think about it was a good sign. She was trying to understand at least. Seiji laughed lightly.
"Honestly it looks like we're just back at square one. So, unless we're planning on returning to the cafteria, we pick a direction to go and follow it." Seiji suggested. "Unless someone has a better idea?"
Seiji was used to just going where ever life decided to lead him. Making decisions and trying to figure out to do now in such a situation was a bit difficult for him. On one hand, they had been told to stay at the cafeteria. Now that they had chosen to defy that instruction there were few other options. Helping out the others seemed like it was crossed from the list. Mainly because it seemed in agreement that doing so would only cause them to be scolded and sent back. The remaining options were to search out the culprit or wander about and hope to stay out of any trouble.

Chuckling to herself, Sheryl was happy that some change had happened. Whether or not she understood, it had still happened! Some part of her was obviously learning a little bit. Now whether she understood or not was a different matter entirely.
Laughing lightly, she sighed, nodding as she put her hands on her hips. "Indeed it does. Well, considering we were already almost yelled at, we probably should head back. Ugh.. but I don't want the head ache.... " Ranka blinked, doing her best to ignore her puzzlement to focus on the task at hand. "Now that one of the enemy is here, perhaps it would be wise to. As stuffy as it is. Atlas knows we are running around, the spirits just told me. He's facing off the main bad guy. He apparently knows him, and is saying some things I don't understand, but must be important to someone. Something he doesn't want known." She murmured, brushing some of her hair from her eye.

Seiji didn't exactly like the idea of having to head back to the cafeteria. It meant having to face someone when they got back. Likely being scolded anyway. Though in truth if Atlas knew they were out and about they would probably be scolded anyway. Better to face it now rather than later.
"It seems like that's the best option for now. Put a bit of worry off of the staff I guess, and anyone else who might know we are out here. I'm sure by now someone has noticed we're gone anyway." Seiji glanced around once more before he turned to start back toward the cafeteria. "At least we had a bit of freedom for a short while."
He was trying to look on the bright side. The only thing Seiji was worrying about wasn't so much being scolded, but what Sheryl would have to deal with. It was a shame he couldn't do anything to help ease that pain she would have to deal with. Hopefully the issues would be resolved soon. According to Ranka Atlas was currently with whoever had caused his mess anyhow.

Together Jareth and Calcifer made their way towards the lake, one teacher on the way back to check on these in the cafeteria trying to stop them. Jareth paid no attention, only increasing Calcifer's speed to a flat gallop, charging towards the possible danger. Slowing upon seeing Vira and Elly they slowed back to a canter, the war horses hooves shaking the ground as they circled them. "You have to admit it Roomie," he practically purred, very cheerful considering all that was going on, "The little one's got power certainly, and our side needs some more style that isn't supplied by me," after he finished speaking he looked across to the mermaids, eyes narrowing briefly. In his realm they'd still be attacking, fighting to the death in fact. Something was clearly holding them back and he was at a loss as to why.((Sorry for the random jump to you guys, but Jareth was getting lonely lol sweatdrop ))
