Ken looked up at Kano and stood up. He walked over to him, licked the tips of his fingers, then planted his fingers on the cigarette's tip, and put the fire out.
"A very wise man also said that overhearing without context and interrupting is a very bad idea." he said quietly. "Some scars take a while to fade. They do fade eventually. But if you believe yourself to be without fear, I have a challenge for you. Imagine the following: your senses are gone. You cannot hear, touch, see, smell, nor can you speak. You are fully conscious and yet trapped in an eternal blackness you cannot escape. Do you not fear that?" Ken asked. He did. It was a bit irrational but it was a very real fear that that happened to him.

*Kano laughs* "Thats sounds about as scary as a a rabbit which you will noticed i accidentally killed haha but its ok if you feel it necessary to put out my ciggerette i have much more and oh i am curious who is this wise man that you refer too?" Kano asks in disbelief

Ken chuckled. "I put out the cigarette so you'd pay attention." he explained. "As for the wise old man...my father, after a many conversations with my brother or mother." he said, laughing.
After a moment, he stopped laughing.
"But if you aren't afraid of that...I hope you find yourself in that position. It's bound to be terrifying." Ken assured him, heading back toward Sosay to stand beside her. He could imagine the situation all too vividly:
Everything being dark, and knowing you're still alive, and yet you can't confirm it. You can't move, speak, or do anything. You can't tell if it's real or not.
Ken would probably go mad in the end.

The situation Ken talked about sent chills down Sosay's spine. That would be a horrible feeling and no doubt, maddening. Sosay glanced up at Ken and examined his expression, wondering what was going through his mind at the moment.

Kano laughed at him laughing "Well its all good but just like a monk once said why does hot dog bun packages come with 12 buns when hot dogs come in packages of 9 because life is not all rainbows and cookies everywhere, everyone has a past and everyone has troubles...its how you decide to deal with them that defines who you are" Kano pulls out another ciggerette and pours another shot of sake "Sorry i forgot to ask anyone want some eh ken want to have some sake or a cig"

Ken raised an eyebrow. The man was of course correct...but he had a strange way of going about things.
"No, thank you. I'll pass." he said, looking at Sosay, who was looking at him. He gave her a small smile.
"Should we get going?" he asked. "Don't you have someone to see?" he asked, winking the eye that Kano couldn't see to show that it was a plan to simply get away from Kano to continue their conversation, uninterrupted.

Sosay nodded and slowly got up, stretching a bit then gave Ken a sweet smile. "Yes. We should get going or else they'll think I'm ignoring them!" she replied, following along with him. Sosay then looked over at Kano. "If you continue smoking like that then you will shorten your life." she simply stated.

"Well i suppose thats what most people would do when they can not handle rebutles" Kano looks at them waiting for them to leave without a care he stands back up then draws his sword begins to cut off his limbs as he falls to the ground he simply states "So is this what you were talking about hahaha" Kano then sends his tendrils to re-attach his limbs back on while sheathing his sword and sitting back down

By the time Kano had started to do his strange self-mutilation, Ken had already started to walk away, down the path. He looked over at Sosay, chuckling. Once they were out of earshot, he spoke.
"Sorry. Just wanted to continue a conversation, generally uninterrupted. Anywhere you want to go?" he asked.

Sosay quickly caught up to Ken as he begun to walk away. When asked where she would like to go so they could talk more, she began to think of where they could go. "How about we go grab something to eat at the ramen shop! My treat!" she replied, a smile on her face.

"Your treat? Ah, I couldn't do that. Part of me wants to be a gentleman and say it's my treat, but I'm a little tight on cash. How about half?" Ken asked, smiling as well.

Sosay pressed a finger over her lips and thought about the deal. When she looked back at Ken, she smiled and shook her head. "Nope! It's my treat today!" she replied.

The man arrived at the Training Grounds. He was dressed in a shady cloak and wore a bamboo hat that covered his face. He sat over by a large rock and performed a few hand seals. He sunk his arms into the ground and began to feel around inside. "There's plenty of material in here for me to use. I better extract it while I can."

Kano notices the ninja with his wierd jutsu or whatever he was doing and kano decides to see whats up, kano makes a few hand signs to re- appear behind this ninja "So what are you doing?" Kano then pulls out another cig, lights it, then takes in a puff and blows it out into the air
