It seemed like even as fast as Black*Star was Zeus was pretty accurate as the electricity landed right in front of Black*Star causing him to stumble back slightly caught off his balance. "Come on Black*Star! That didn't hit you don't let that catch you off guard!" Robin cheered from the sidelines. Jumping back up Black*Star started to run again his inter-crossing star pattern around the electric steel type again. However just as he was getting his rhythm again there was a shrill whistle which caused him to stop and trip over his own claws.

Looking up from her Totodile who was now face first on the ground she spotted the time and the fact that there train was just arriving. "Ah! Train's here!" She exclaimed as the train just rolled into the station. Going over to Black*Star she scooped the fallen water pokemon up into her arms before going over to Jason, Luffy following behind her happy grin on his face. "You ready to head over to Lilycove?"

"Wow, not bad Zeus! You almost got him that time, your aim has gotten a lot better. Ok, here he comes. get ready for another Thunders-" Jason was cut short by the sound of the loud whistle, looks like they killed time pretty well. Apparently Black*Star was stopped cold by the whistle as well, as now he was flat on his face. Jason winced a little, that must have hurt, but his attention was suddenly brought back to Robin as she scooped up her pokemon. "You bet. Let's go Zeus, we're going to Sinnoh! Um...via Lilycove!" With that Jason made a mad dash for the train, practically knockign the ticket man over as he handed him his ticket. Once it was approved he ran inside, moments later popping his head out of the nearest window, nearly pushing the lady that was sitting there out with him. "Come on Robin, we gotta get a good seat!"

Ok maybe Jason was way more excited then her, and Robin was pretty excited. Shrugging she, Luffy and Black*Star got on the train Robin handing her ticket to the ticket taker. "Get a good seat huh? There really isn't much to look at when you are on a train. Then again Hoenn might be a bit different I haven't taken a train across it before." She walked over to a seat next to him and plopped down next to him. "So how long have you been a trainer Jason?" She asked curiously as she shifted Black*Star in her lap and grabbed onto one of Luffy's tails so he didn't go bug other people.

"I've taken the train a few times when I was younger. I really enjoy the scenery, always something fun to look at." He said as he stared out of a window, waiting for the train to start moving. "Oh well let's see....not very long actually A week or two, I lost count. I mean I just got my second pokemon the other day, and he hatched from an egg so I didn't really catch him. But I can't wait till I get my first catch, it's gonna be awesome! How about you Robin? You got some really cool pokemon, you look real strong! You must have been training pokemon for a while now huh?"

Again Kasiya found that she was staring blankly at the redhead he spoke in a calm, quiet tone. This cool, collected person in front of her couldn't be the Keegan she knew, could it? She felt her heart race a little as he put his hands on her shoulders and stared into her eyes, and as he continued to speak she felt her heart sink lower and lower into her chest, though in actuality she wasn't surprised by his request, and as far as she was concerned, it was far from unreasonable. In fact, it was a lot for her to ask; for him to just up and leave Hoenn and all his plans just because she wanted to go explore the Sinnoh region. She closed her eyes as he ran his fingers along the side of her face, and she sighed. "I..." she trailed off, moving closer to him and resting her head on his shoulder, "I want to do both." She sighed, but shook her head. "I know I can't, though," she added, just to make sure he knew that. As much as she wanted to go to Sinnoh with everyone else, she knew he had a valid point. After all, she only had one Hoenn badge to her name, and she'd seen the ones Keegan had won. Maybe she should put off the trip for now, and then they could go when they were both ready, whenever that was. Something else came to mind then, however, and she looked at the ground. "Though, I am supposed to be delivering a parcel to a place called Eterna City for Professor Oak, and after everything he's done for me since I became a trainer, I can't let him down, can I? I mean, he looks after my Pokemon when they're not in my party, and he gave me my PokeDex, and..." she trailed off, shaking her head again. She squeezed her eyes shut in frustration. "I don't know what to do," she admitted finally.

Though he hadn't been going out of his way to hear what the Crenu kid was saying to Riza, Jaeshan couldn't help but overhear that last bit of advice, and he frowned. They weren't battling to win, they were only training. Crenu wasn't wrong about the Extrasensory, however, and even as Jaeshan called for Squirtle to try and escape it by means of a Dig he knew there wouldn't be time. Squirtle rushed to try burrow underground to safety, but he'd barely made a dent in the ground before Eris' surprisingly powerful Psychic attack sent him flying through the air. "Withdraw into your shell!" Jaeshan shouted, watching as Squirtle quickly disappeared into his hard shell before making contact with the ground, bouncing around like a ball of sorts. The turtle emerged, looking much weaker than before, though he didn't look like he intended to give in just yet.

"That's it," Jaeshan muttered, gritting his teeth. "If she's gonna play rough, then so am I!" He looked over at the now-tired Squirtle, seeing that now the turtle had been covered by a blue-tinged aura. Torrent, he thought, having almost forgotten about that ability - it functioned just like Blaziken's Blaze, except for Water-types. "Alright Squirtle, finish this with Aqua Jet!" he shouted. Squirtle nodded and looked back at the Cyndaquil, his small body becoming encompassed in a stream of water before he rushed forward, propelled by the stream. This should be too fast for it's Foresight to predict, Jaeshan thought confidently.

"How long have I been a trainer?" Robin repeated tapping a finger to her chin as she thought. She really didn't know. She had kinda lost track of the time since she had started and so many things had happened. It felt like it had been at least a year even though she knew it couldn't have been that long. "Ah... I dunno... I have had Luffy for a long time but I wouldn't really call myself a trainer when I had just gotten him... Erm... I dunno a week... maybe two? So much stuff has happened that it seems like I have been one for much longer then I really have..." Robin trailed off. Just then the train let out another whistle and soon they had taken off from the station and were speeding along the Hoenn country side.

Luffy had taken to looking out the window and was practically jumping around in his seat as he watched all the stuff go past him. Glancing over he saw that Black*Star was looking over at him like he wanted to look out the window to but he couldn't because he was in Robin's lap and she wasn't really letting go.

"Wow, and you're so strong already! I mean, I only saw Black*Star in battle but I can tell your other pokemon are real strong too. Luffy looks like he can really handle himself. I can tell by the way he acts, Luffy's got the air of a champion! At lest what's what my pops would say." Jason said with a laugh as he looked out the window, the scenery was as beautiful as he had remembered it. "So tell me more about Sinnoh and stuff, how'd you find out about it? What kinda pokemon are there?"
PostPosted: Mon Oct 19, 2009 9:41 pm

Even if he was stuck on Robin's lap hearing Jason's words made it a bit better. He was super tough, someday he would be way tougher than Luffy to but right now all he could do is train. Luffy just stared at Jason for a moment with his big eyes, he was talking about how strong he was? Yeah he was strong he had to be strong in order to protect his nakama. "Yeah they are strong. Though all these other trainers I met have pokemon that are way stronger then mine... We should meet a few of them on the boat to Sinnoh." Well Robin thought they would, maybe she would see Jaeshan again to. Blushing a little at the thought of the super cute blond boy from the party she got distracted for a moment. " Ah I dunno really anything about Sinnoh. All I know is that there are a bunch of new pokemon. You can look at my pokedex if you want. It should have all of them in there."

"You mean you got a new version of the pokedex? That's awesome! My Dex only had Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn pokemon. Where's you get your Sinnoh one?" He asked curiously as he looked between Robin Black*Star and Luffy. Stronger trainers she said? They must be amazing, and their pokemon too. "Those trainers are friends of yours? Did you meet them during the beach party?" Jason was pretty excited, Sinnoh sounded like a cool new place. He tried to imagine all the new pokemon they had there, but his imagination was to wild to take seriously. He was going to have to get himself one of those Sinnoh pokedexes if he wanted to stay ahead of the curb so to speak.

Riza glanced back at Crenu, and nodded, though she was a little surprised by his words. Since when did he offer her advice, and without a sarcastic remark, at that? She caught sight of the man and his very sparkly cape standing nearby. 'Who is he?' she thought, looking back at Eris. The Cyndaquil was starting to look tired now, though when she heard Jaeshan shout, she looked up, eyes wide as suddenly a torrent of water had surrounded Squirtle and he was shooting at a tremendous speed towards the tired young Cyndaquil. Riza froze up on the spot, not knowing what to do.

Akima and the other Pokemon had been watching the battle with keen interest, though when the Squirtle had started to glow blue Akima had tensed up. She knew that if that attack hit, Eris could be badly injured and she wasn't going to let that happen. In the blink of an eye the Sneasel had sped across the battlefield, suddenly appearing in front of Eris just as she was about to get hammered by the aqua jet. Akima was knocked back a bit by the hit, but she was more experienced than Squirtle and it would take more than that to bring her down. The Sneasel let out an angered shriek before she reared back a glowing, icy fist that she then swung with all her might at the turtle, an ice punch.

Katie and Kord made it through the rest of the Mt. Coronet passage without incident, though by the time they made it outside again the baby Pokemon was quite sleepy, and Katie put him in his poke ball to rest. She could see Oreburgh spreading out below her as she rode along, namely the dark smoke billowing out of the many smokestacks to the south where the Oreburgh mine was situated. She'd heard that many of the coalminers trained their Pokemon within the mines, and that they often used fighting and rock-types such as Machop and Geodude to help them with their hard work. Katie thought about checking it out, but she decided against it seeing as the mines were most likely quite filthy and she did not want to chance dirtying her outfit.

She had slowed down her pace quite a bit, deciding to enjoy the remainder of the ride, but this wouldn't be the case as she heard someone calling out to her. She skidded to a stop and looked around, spotting a boy maybe a year or so younger than her wearing a ratty red t-shirt, dirty cutoff jeans and a blue and red baseball cap, also dirty. Underneath the cap his hair was almost white blonde, and though he had friendly blue eyes and a nice smile Katie was not impressed. "What do you want?" she asked curtly.

The boy's eyes widened and he took a step back. "A battle," he said after a moment or two of hesitation. "If you're a trainer, that is."

She gave the kid another once over, and she gave a dramatic sigh, but nodded. "If you want," she answered as she got off the bike. "Two each."

"Yeah, that sounds good," the boy agreed, getting his first poke ball ready.

"It wasn't open to debate," Katie countered quickly, doing the same. Both trainers released their Pokemon, and the battle began.

Without meaning to, Keegan had flinched a little when Kasiya put her head on his shoulder, but she didn't seem to notice it. He listened to her explanation, nodding along slowly. He hadn't known that she'd been sent on an errand by none other than the famous Professor Oak, and he sighed. She wasn't going to Sinnoh just because she wanted to, but because she'd been asked to. How could he get in the way of something like that? "You should go then," he said quietly, managing to mask the disappointment he felt quite well. "It'd be good for you and your Pokemon. If you stayed here with me, I'd just be holding you back." Frowning, he turned away from her and looked down at the tray of food still sitting on the bench and after a moment or so he released the four Pokemon who hadn't eaten yet, though the ill-tempered Skarmory just scoffed and pecked at the ground, quite uninterested. "Suit yourself," Keegan grumbled, putting the gruff Pokemon back in his Great Ball, "more for the others." He was glad to see that both Helios and Loki were looking refreshed and well-rested after their tough battle last night, and it was then that he remembered something important, and he looked back at the blonde girl again. "At the Gala last night," he began, deciding to ease into the subject, "I'm a little surprised that you didn't have Shocker with you. After all, she loves those kind of things, doesn't she? All the attention and such." Helios jerked his head up at the mention of the Raichu, and he eyed his trainer curiously. Just what was he getting at?
PostPosted: Tue Oct 20, 2009 8:14 am

"The last thing you'd be doing is holding me back," Kasiya told him pointedly. "I seem to remember a certain redhead - that's you by the way - being a major inspiration for me to keep getting tougher and tougher. Remember that battle we had in Vermilion a few days ago?" she added with a smile. Sure, it had been a rash, heat of the moment thing, but it had shown her that she had to focus on training all her Pokemon to be the best they could. She watched as he let his Pokemon out of their Pokeballs for breakfast, doing a double-take when she saw the handsome Ninetales. She hadn't known that Helios had evolved, and she couldn't help but feel a little sad that she hadn't been around to witness his evolution. The Skarmory Keegan released caught her eye as well, yet another Pokemon she'd not known he possessed. Where'd he get all these new Pokemon, and more importantly how'd he end up with Kenny the Duskull?

These thoughts were tumbling around in her head as Keegan turned back to her again, and she felt a jolt of pain shoot through her chest at the mention of her beloved Raichu. "Oh, uh, well..." the girl trailed off, pretending to be interested in a dull, grey stone that lie on the ground nearby, "I, uh, didn't want her being an attention hog all night, so I sent her back to the professor's place for a while. You know, let her rest up a bit before the whole big Sinnoh thing." She chuckled nervously, having no idea that Keegan already knew she was lying.

Keegan smiled a bit at the mention of the battle they'd had the other day, as it had been sparked by one of their many arguments. It had made his point, however, that she should always keep one of her strongest Pokemon with her at all times, and if anything reminded him that he needed to get stronger too, if he ever wanted to be in the same league as she and her friends were. You're the one that inspires me, he thought, quickly recalling Loki as the Arbok had finished his breakfast and was now busy terrorizing innocent people as they walked by. Themis, also finished with his meal, had wandered over to Kasiya's side and was busy pining for attention, which was a little strange of the Manectric. Then again, she was probably the only other person other than Keegan that he seemed to like.

"Oh, really," Keegan said idly, letting his hand rest on Helios' head as the Ninetales was now sitting by his side, each tail moving in unison, "funny you should say that, because I saw Shocker just last night." He looked over at the girl, able to see the pain-stricken look on her face even though she tried to hide it, though he had no idea why she wouldn't just explain the situation to him.
PostPosted: Tue Oct 20, 2009 12:37 pm

"You... did?" she asked tentatively, reaching down to pat Themis on the head. She'd always liked the Manectric, namely due to her love of Electric-types, and she often hoped she'd be able to capture one of her own someday. "That's impossible... she's... but, how? Where?" she asked, quickly forgetting her initial lie. "You saw her? Where is she? Is she okay?" The anxiety and worry over her Raichu's well-being seemed to just crash down on her at once, the weight of it too much to bear. Before she knew it she'd dropped to her knees, wrapping her arms around Themis' neck as a few tears made their way down her cheeks. She hadn't told anyone about the loss of Shocker as of yet and it was really starting to get to her.

Riffling through her bag she found her pokedex and handed it over to Jason. "It isn't a new pokedex, all you have to do is go to one of the professors, or even just call one up and they will update it for you. Professor Elm was kind enough to update mine for me while I was in Kanto." That wasn't exactly the best day of Robin's life and she winced a little at the thought. "Anyway, you can look at mine all you want." Turning her attention towards Black*Star and Luffy she idly wondered what the boat ride would be like for the both of them. There was going to be a lot of trainers there and both of them were probably going to get into a few fights. Still as much as that would be a problem Robin wouldn't dream of depriving them of the trip over. She would just have to keep a better eye on them and recruit Brook and Raz to do the same. Those two could at least keep an eye on them and get her if things got out of hand. Sighing she swung her legs and wondered if the train ride was going to be over soon. She should probably get her pokemon healed before getting on the boat. To bad she didn't have anymore money to spend on her pokemon, there was supposed to be a huge department store in Lilycove right?
