Misa looked up from the flickering flames in the palm of her hands, a look of mild surprise on her heart shaped face, when she was addressed by a somewhat familiar voice. Her blue grey eyes, the color of a the calm sea and framed by long dark lashes rested on the face of a young boy with a coffee and milk complexion. The 8 of Diamonds, Ivan, the older brother of the Black Knight King.

" Hello Ivan-kohai." The Ace greeted the boy, her voice soft and polite as she pulled the black scarf down away from her face to reveal to him a small smile curving her lips. While at the same time closing her black mittened hands together to smother the ball of bluish tinged white flame that danced in her cupped hands, the moments her palms touched the tiny fireball went out with a barely audible 'poof' and a thin plume of smoke trailing from between her tiny hands. " And I am doing well, thank you for asking. How are you this lovely morning?" She asked but before the child could reply, the tiny teenager heard the PA go on, and the voice was not that of a teacher but of Riku, the Bishop of the Black Knights.

"Excuse me Ivan-kohai, but it seems to me that there is something I should attend to." The girl said before she stood up in one fluid motion and somewhat hurriedly made her way back into the warmth of the school. By the time the Ace of the Upper Court made it to the scene of the prank though, everything was already cleaned up. Too late...For the prank and my class. The girl thought as she made her way rather reluctantly to her most hated class and worst subject. Arithmetic.

Upon entering the class room, she pulled out her math book a look of distaste on her face as she flipped to the page for the days assignment, a scowl on her face as she retrieved paper and pencil and began working on the first problem.

Ken stood with a shocked expression on his face. He didn't know what to do. He was torn between quite a few options of action. He could return her hug, and somehow manage to choke out a thank you. He could push her away and say he didn't need any help. He could even break down and completely lose his composition here. His emotions were a derailed train, and he had no idea on how to put it back on track. However, declining Trey's help here... just something in his mind told him not to push her away, so he was able to rule out one outcome.

Rather, he tried to pull himself together, reconstruct the emotional wall that had been smashed into pieces. In the valiant effort towards that goal, he tried to replace the first few bricks by getting his word choices right. "I don't need help, I can handle this..." He wanted to try and show he was capable of standing alone again, but, his actions told differently. For starters, he had hugged her back, without himself noticing, and his voice, it was shaky and no higher than a whisper. Like he was still fighting tears that threatened to emerge, and one even escaped. "It's been three years," He half-spoke, half sobbed, "why can't I get over his death?"

"Okay then, farewell Ms. Mikami," Ivan said as he walked off to his class. He sighed and wonder what his Step-Brother was up to. He never really got use to the idea of his little brother being leader of the Black Knights, but the Court didn't really suit him either. Clayton... what are you up to now? He wondered. He walked over to class, he had music class and saw the Joker going his way. He approached her. "Hi Ms. Faustine, how are you today," He asked her. "I guess Clayton and his little gang can't give us a quiet morning,"

She sighed at his words of independence. What was wrong with letting go of the lone wolf structure every now and again? His words penetrated hard, causing just a slight wound as he hugged her. But that was quickly interrupted by his next question. She stood for a second, trying to think of the right words to say, rather then her usual bluntness, that part of her wasn't needed here.

"Ken... " she started, apparent she was trying to get him to look at her, once he did. Trey's voice continued in a soft yet sweet tone. "Look. It's apparent your brother held a great value over you. You looked up to him in a way, even thought he was your little brother.. He was your stone. It's hard to let go of people you care that much about. " she sighed, she wouldn't know what she would do if the time ever came and she lost someone dear to her.

Trey shivered from the cold, sleep still fighting with her. She motioned toward the nearby bench, hoping he'd accept her offer and sit. She didn't think she would be able to handle if he tried to push her away again. Please.. Let me in.. I promise I won't let you down. Her voice repeated in her mind.

Ken slowly followed Trey and sat down on the bench. His body was still hot from the battle and rage he had accumulated, so he didn't care that he was shirtless. He sat down on the nearby bench and pulled his lighter out, one of the few things that helped him remain calm. For some reason or another, Ken felt like he could trust Trey. He didn't know why he thought he could, he just did. Ever since he knew her, she seemed at least somewhat trust worthy. Swallowing rather hard, he began a quick summary of his brother. "I did, I really did. It was always just me and him. Never once were we away from each other. Never once were we found with our parents. He was my voice of reason, and I was his voice of action. We balanced each other, made sure we were in check, but still aggressive enough to take down whatever it was we needed."

He stopped for a second to recompose himself, he tried to build his emotional wall back up, but it just crumbled back down. Again, Ken fought tears back before continuing with his story. "We were the only family we had, and I'm trying to keep the memories we had. Our trips to the park, or the amusement park, or just our adventures of searching the house for monsters." He looked at his palm, staring at it, trying to remember everything else they did. He knew there was more they did together, he knew there was, but, he couldn't remember. "I keep trying... but each time I try to remember, I lose a part of him. I used to remember how he ran, I used to know how he yawned." He breathed in a shaky breath, and the next sentence hit an even more emotional spot than just the wall alone. "I used to remember his voice. All of that is gone. I don't want to forget him..." He whispered, his whole body shaking from trying to hold back his tears that were now slowly starting to escape. "I don't want to become my parents that don't even remember his name. I don't want to pretend he never existed. Because he did damnit."

Hearing Ken's story about his brother made her want to cry, she didn't understand why some sort of heavenly being would allow such a ill fate to fall on a person. He was a child for Christ sakes! She placed her hand on his shoulder, trying to smile for him. Trying, but failing.

"Ken. You are never going to forget your brother, or ever forgive your parents. But your little brother doesn't want you regretting the past. He would want you to remember the happy times you had together, you might forget a thing or two at first, but it will come back. I'm sure you'd forget my voice if I was to disappear for a while, it's human. We only registered things for short time. You can keep his memory, you can honor the fact he lived. You won't ever forget him, you loved him too much. There is nothing wrong with wanting to preserve a memory. "

Trey allowed her eyes to meet his for a moment, then she dropped them back to her lap. Her bottom lip was slightly shaken from the cold. Gods she wished she was a fire element at this point right now! Then again she was glad she held Earth in the palm of her hand.

She pulled herself close together, protecting herself as much as possible from the cold, her heart felt for Ken, really it did.. And a voice inside her head told her she was getting to close.. But she couldn't help it, Trey didn't want to.

Having slipped from unconsciousness to a sleeping state Jay began to dream. The same dream he had every night, it never went away. He was a boy, no older than three, cowering in the corner of his one room house. Gunshots could be heard, in the distance; however they were closer than before. He knew these sounds, they had been his lullabies for ages ever since his birth; the sounds of a mafia war.

His father was holding him tightly, Jay pressed against his chest, rubbing his hair. “Sh, it’s ok Jay. Do not worry, it will be over soon. Be a big boy alright?” His dad spoke softly, his voice barely above a whisper. He slowly starts humming, a song that Jays mom used to hum to him. A soothing song, a song meant to calm the nerves.

Moments later the door burst open, three men with handguns, Walther P99s, charged into the room. They glared at Jay and his father, they knew that they were innocent, however, if they lived... they could implicate them and that could not be allowed. They levelled their guns with both of them a smile crossing their faces.

Jay’s father pushed him away. “Jay, run! Don’t let them...” Before he could finish three bullets hit him, two in the chest, and the third in the throat. Jay gasped as he turned and ran through the back door, leaving it open as he went. He kept running not looking back. Finally after several moments Jay stopped, falling to the ground and crying. His father was dead, and he was all alone.

Waking in a cold sweat Jay sat up and looked around. He was in the infirmary, he didn’t know how he got there but he knew exactly why. Ken had broken his jaw and would have killed him. Touching his face softly, a sharp pain pulsed through him. Still to sore to do anything, he more than likely wouldn’t be talking for awhile. It serves me right... He thought to himself as he picked up his cell phone and keyed in Aurelia’s number. Slowly he began to type.

My Queen, I am sorry I have brought dishonour to the Court and to you. I am truly sorry if I have caused any harm to our cause and to the higher ups. Do not look down on the others for the actions of me. I was not acting to the best of my abilities. Do not worry though, I am going to change, I will be the type of person that the Court needs on their side. If you would like to speak more to me about this matter come to me in the infirmary and reprimand me as you see fit.

Once the message was complete he hit send. Placing his cell phone beside him on the bed he closed his eyes. He was still far too weak to stay awake for too long. He hoped beyond all hope that the dream would not come to him again when he fell asleep, but he knew it would. After several moments Jay was back asleep.

Ken sighed deeply. He needed to get control of himself. He had cried long enough, and Trey was right. He still remembered his brother. He still knew all the important details, and Ken still had the lasting effects of having a brother who cared for him. Finally, wiping away any signs of tears he have had, his wall finally began to rebuild itself. Trey had really helped him, and he was grateful. He had to show it now, as once his wall was back up, he couldn't show his gratitude anymore. There were many ways to get his message across, and what Ken thought would be the easist, he found he could do. He opened his mouth to say thanks, but no words came. He made incoherient sounds in an attempt to form the words 'thank you'. He had to say thank you somehow, but, he could not find the proper sounds to form the words. So, he went with the next best thing. He smiled, a genuine one, rather than an evil smirk. The first real smile he had given since his brother died. It remained for a second, then... it vanished and reappeared under the disguise of a straight and emotionless line. Standing up, he stretched, and knew that his wall had been rebuilt.

However, the wall was a slight bit smaller than it was before it crumbled. And it showed when he slowly extended a hand towards Trey. No word was spoken, and Ken looked away as if he wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary.

Mandy bounced into the Water Defence class, not really looking where she was going; after all, she had just gotten through a rather long and steamy make out session with an older student. Her long blue hair was a mess, she should have brought a brush, why didn’t she? Curse her rotten luck for forgetting. With a giggle she looked around the room, she didn’t see the teacher, she was glad. After all, they would surely give her a hard time for not wearing her uniform. Instead she wore a rather tight cyan coloured button up shirt, the first few buttons were undone showing off her endowments. Her long legs were shown under a mini denim skirt; a pair of blue high heels was on her feet.

She kept smiling as she kept walking into the class. Since her mind was not focus, not that it ever was, she bumped into a person. Once she looked up and saw a white haired young man with glasses. She smiled and began to blush. “S-Sorry, I should really watch where I am going.” She spoke her voice sounding like that of an angel.

Lunaru lay wide awake in the soft, yet firm mattress of the infirmary bed, as his legs recover from their strain. He thought his being in the infirmary was stupid. He rather use crutches or a wheel chair then be stuck in a bed for 45mins. He couldnt stand staying still, it was part of his ADHD and ODD and his need for freedom.

"MY GOD!! I feel so restrained. I could of just flew to class." Lunaru shouted in frustration.

He went to get up off the bed and was able to stand, his legs still a bit wobbly. Now, he had to see if he could walk. He moved his left foot, then his right, then keeled over a bit.

"no way, Nah-uhn!" he said to himself.

He then lifted himself by floating. "I will float outta here!" He thought angrily.

He then flew past the nurse and out the door. The nurse tried to grab him but he sped himself up and flew down the hallway. He had already missed second period and didnt want more make up work to do. he slowed down right outside the third period door. His arithmetic class. Lunaru loved mass and was so advanced in it they had to give him a higher class. he was already half way done with his book for arithmetic aswell.

He pulled out his note book from his pocket and his pencil and began to write down what they were already going to do that day. He smirked as he thought of Jay in the infirmary.

"Serves that walking mouth right for his to be broken." Lunaru thought, as his smirked turned into a sad look, "Though, i dont know if i would wish something like that on anyone. I do hope he learned his lesson then."

He sighed as the teacher walked in.

(OOC: Tai just now finished roll call. lol)

Tai nodded and was about to put his clipboard away until he noticed that every students eyes locked on to something near the door, and followed it like it was a ticking time bomb. He then noticed the object they were staring bump into him, and stutter out an apology. He didn't quite know what to expect by just looking at the student reactions, but, most of the males had straightened up and were pointing to empty seats near them, while the female population either looked at her in disguist, or held their boyfriends close.

Unsure himself, he turned to face a girl with what was probably the most volumptious figure he had seen to date. Sliding his glasses up, he looked down at his clipboard, and noticed only one person missing. "No big deal." He muttered, studying the name of the student. "I take it you are Mandy... how do you pronounce that last name?" He asked, looking over his clipboard, doing everything in his power to make sure his eyes didn't slide down to look at her... other features.

Giggling as she looked around the room taking notice of the other student’s reactions, mainly the males, she smiles and blushed as she turned her attention towards Tai. “Y-Yes, I am.” She stuttered again. “It’s pronounced Nef-Cast-Er.” As she spoke she pushed her chest out a little more making it more obvious of her endowments. “I’m sorry I’m late...” She spoke as she put her finger near the right corner of her mouth. “Wait, you aren’t the teacher are you?” Mandy question starting to suck the on the tip of her finger seductively. Her eyes locked on Tai’s as she batted her eyelashes.

Tai nodded, and quickly hid his face back behind his clipboard, marking her as present. "Uh... M-Mandy, p-please pick a seat of your choice." He couldn't look. He wasn't a student. He was a teacher, he couldn't put things like that over work. No matter what! He had worked hard to get where he was, and he wasn't going to let this student get the better of him! Although, one quick look-

No! Bad thoughts! He shook himself from them, and went over to his computer to post the attendance, stating that everyone was in his class. Afterwards, he went over to the board and wrote under his name, 'Age: 19'. "As you all have read, my name is Tai Katashi, nineteen years old. Welcome to Elemental Water Defense." Before continuing he looked at his class, shifting his glasses with his middle finger again. "Oh, and please call me Tai. I'm still old enough to be a senior here. Anyway, I will be teaching you all how to turn this," He took a water bottle and emptied it's contents on the ground, tossing the empty bottle aside. "into this." As he finished, he turned the puddle of water on the ground into a form fitting ice barrier before effectively shattering it so he wouldn't recieve hypothermia. "Now, any questions so far?" He looked into the students, most of which weren't really paying attention to his magic tricks, but rather Mandy who came in just minutes before.

Trey smirked as she heard Ken's start of a thank you.. Now there he was, that was the Ken she remember, independent and- her thoughts where erupted when he offered his hand, unknowing of what else to do, she placed hers cold hand in his warm. She smirked, almost forgotten he was a fire element, hell she'd come to think he was water, she smirked once more at her own stupid joke.

With his help, she stood to her feet, her free arm wrapping around herself to protect her from the bitter cold. What kind of stupid school makes girls wear skirts during the winter anyways! She sighed and new the answer. All Then another question came, what kind of stupid girl wears a uniform skirt with no leggings and no jacket?!, yes now that was more to the point.

She looked over to Ken, smiling her voice coming out shakily. "No need to Thank me Ken." she said jokingly she looked around, wondering how long they had been out here. She laughed, she never skipped a class before, never really had a good enough reason too.

"Boy, didn't you get me into some trouble today.." she said in reference to this mornings show, then to the two classes she had happily missed. But in all honesty, Trey didn't mind. Maybe if it was someone like Cyclone, or that one kid... Lunarus, then she would mind, but it wasn't it was Ken.

"So, are we feeling better now? Back to your old hot headed ways?" she said again, playfully, trying to keep the mood light. Even thought she spoke lightly, she hoped that he wouldn't go back there entirely. Hoping he wouldn't go back to pushing her away again.

He slightly twitched at her calling him a hothead, but, he did not reply. He knew the Queen wasn't serious, but, he was not hot headed, no matter how you looked at him. He simply stated, "I'm fine." Turning his head to face Trey, he noticed her shiver a bit. He had been so wrapped up in himself that he hadn't noticed her shaking body. He squized her hand a bit, injecting a very small amount of heat from his fire element, to her body in an attempt to warm her up. After he did what he could, he removed his hand and shoved it in his pocket. "You should think about wearing a jacket... it's too cold not be wearing one." And on the inside, he thought he should probably be wearing a shirt, someone must've thought he was insane for being in such a cold climate without a shirt. He stood, waiting for Trey to move first, after all, he still had to uphold the Black Knight ranking system.
