alright so no one is actually using my awsome thread so I'm going to post about my mexican cruise here, I'm on the Carnival Pride sailing to mexico from long beach our first stop is tomorrow so here's my recap!

Hello today is tuesday and it is day 3 of my week long cruise to mexico tomorrow we make our first stop in Mexico and I am going on a jungle walk with my parents, hopefully the jungle does not jump out and kill me but you never know about these things.

Anyway to recap I left on Saturday and spent the night in Long Beach where I was unfortunately unable to meet up with either Sean or Matt but I'm sure there will be other oppertunities. We stayed in a positively ancient retired cruise ship known as the Queen Mary which is now permanently docked in Long Beach, it was pretty cool I got some pictures, alot of the stuff in it is like original so it was very classy in a garish 1940's sort of way, the food was very very tasty and they even gave us free breakfast. The room we stayed in was aparently one of their luxury suites it was fairly small but there were two rooms, one with a large bed which my parents got and another with a very small single bed and a vanity which I got, the bathroom was also in my half of the suite. It was nice having my own little seperate room, I even had my own door so I could come and go as I pleased, I toured around the ship a little but it was a little awkward because there was a birthday party and a wedding happening that night and most of the people I saw were dressed up and glared at me as if me and my blue jeans and supergirl tank top were ruining their evening just by walking around MY hotel.

Sunday we had our free breakfast, got our bags sent off to the cruise ship and got registered for the ship early then headed to the Aquarium of the Pacific Coast which was all around really cool, I took so many pictures I killed the battery on my camera dead, it was awsome, there were two touch pools for stuff like sting rays but I got a little water from the edge on my arm and it left a little red itchy patch so I am glad I didn't succumb to temptation and actually stick my hands in, as I discovered at Sea World I am allergic to whatever is in those ray touch pools.
After the aquarium we headed to board the ship and as it turned out it was a very good thing we registered for the ship early because there was a huge a** lineup to get roomkeys and since we already had ours we got to skip it! The ship is crazy fancy, theres elaborate carvings and statues everywhere, lots of shiney stuff and really nice expensive looking floors, I do feel a little out of place walking around in my shorts and tank tops but there are some batshit crazy people walking around in like prom-type dressed and suits all the time and I'm like "What the s**t? You are on vacation, relax a little." I did have to bring a few nice things because some of the dinner services are 'formal attire" but the fancy food is sort of worth it. Oh speaking of food they feed people ALL THE TIME I'm getting so fat and to my dismay I have yet to find anything with any fibre in it so my digestive system is like "I hate you stop eating things" I'll have to get up early some time to catch the breakfast buffet and grab a bran muffin or something. I was also getting a little seasick, the motion of the pacific makes me a little dizzy and its annoying after a while.

Monday was the day for exploring although I was still really dizzy so I got these neat wristband things that have this little magnet that presses into the inside of your wrist and it actually helps with the dizziness, unfortunately the spot it pushes on also happens to be where all my veings are clustered together so they hurt a little sometimes. I wandered the whole ship top to bottom just sort of finding things and no matter how I try I always end up at the opposite end of the ship from where my room is when I get down to the correct floor. I think there are 11 or 12 decks on the ship, there are only 9 you can access from the elevator but after the first day of eating I decided to use the stairs whenever possible. Other than exploring monday was pretty lazy, I read Pokemon Dungeon Rescue Adventure and B.P.R.D #3 so now I'm out of comics and have to start on the 7th Harry Potter. Dinner service was formal tonight and after it was over I went down to the Kareoke Bar to watch this contest thing they have going on, they are looking for people to impersonate several famous singers to put them in this big show thing thats happening the final night, sounds pretty nifty. Unfortunately the drinking age here on the ship is 21 (eyeroll) so I can't technically drink but my parents smuggled in some wine and I'll have some of that when they decide to open it and may get the courage to go up and sing some kareoke! They have a few songs I know and might be able to pull off with a little courage... And some fibre (groan) my digestive system is full of hate and hurt too much to even think about singing. The dizziness was also really getting to me.

Tuesday (which is today yay!) was another lazy day, we had to make a quick emergency stop at Cabo San Lucas (sp?) because somebody got hurt or sick or something but when we got close to land we managed to see some whales! Yay! They were too far off to tell if they were grey or humpback whales but it was still cool. On the way back we will stop there for real and my family and I are going whale watching! Still no fibre in sight but my seasickness has finally subsided so I can run around and take crazy pictures as soon as my mother agrees to be my partner in crime to take pictures while I climb on things that you are probably not meant to climb on. I spent most of my day by the pool reading Harry Potter and I'm actually getting into it now! Its not exciting yet but very intriging. I was sitting out in the sun wearing spf 45 and the only part of me that is burned is my feet where they were sitting in the pool water although my shoulders and chest definetly got a little color. I've mostly only eaten deserts today because surprisingly they're the easiest thing on my poor fibreless stummy and co' I tried some chinese food but it just felt gross all the way down. Dinner was very delicious unfortunately I couldn't finish most of it. I went around after and took a few myspace-type pictures that turned out okay aside from the huge zit in my forehead, oh thats another thing about this cruise, they keep surprising us with photo's and its freaking annoying because I never look good when they do it, I'm not wearing makup most of the time and my skin makes too much oil so I always look shiney and greasy in the pictures, its my ******** vacation people I don't WANT to have to walk around in makeup all the time just because of some sinister plot to ambush pictures on me and then have me buy them later just because "Its a good souviner". One cool thing is around the ship somewhere you are bound to find live music, classical or otherwise at most hours of the day and they even entertain you at dinner, last night all the waiters had to stop and sing some spanish song and tonight they had to dance, I got some pictures of that one. Anyway the battery on my laptop is about to go and internet is REALLY ******** EXPENSIVE here and kareoke auditions for Elvis and Britney Spears are about to start so I'd better get going! I will have to upload pictures when I get home because it takes a long time.
