Maybe one of each and they each have a special thing that the other lacks either that or just focusing on one type. But if its one of each they would resemble something like crows would be death, egrets water, eagle would be wind..... But most likely I'll focus on one type of bird. One type of bird is all you can really do man... because I was trying to get Owls. I just realized the new Summoning Thread doesn't have the old list... Alright. I hope my idea asnt allready used and here I am thinking im all creative. Crows are not taken officially, but because Itachi used them a lot.. they could of been his summoning. Also if you have read the manga up until now, you would know Sasuke has an Eagle summons now... Also, you could summon something in Kumo that is lightning quick... Cheetahs, Rabbits, Kangaroos... But my advice, develop your character and learn the system before you skip off and make a summoning. Mainly because you can't get on until you're a genin, so you got heaps of time... Yeah I was just curious and figured it was easier to go ahead and ask it while it was on my mind. I was going to get everything except the stats done untill i got used to the system. But allso I dont read the mana since if I did it would have to be online since my dad wont let me get those books so I just watch the Anime online and im around season 3 since im having to catch up on what I missed. But yeah that may be a better idea to use something fast its just that I really like Crows lol.

Yeah but it wouldnt really fit the clan now that I look at it allso I wouldnt be able to use jutsu with it, and such or would it be like Kiba and Akimaru type deal since Akimaru is basically his pet in a way.

They go inbetween villages like to the bird building in sunagakure and all the places probally now that everyone is allied. Though crow is probally not taken but birds are creative because people in the series use birds all the time and it's common. Also like whoever said it, hawk is used by sasuke. i'm not stopping you from using it but I'm stating that you aren't creative. Feel free to do whatever the crew deems appropriate.

Just because they aren't used for fighting doesn't mean they aren't summons. Summons aren't all talking beasts or huge monsters that all live in a mystical world. As long as their is a contract, you can summon them. Like how the Animal Path summoned the other Pains plus konan. It's all a matter of contract, so just because they are regular birds doesn't mean they aren't summoning contracted.

And do not bring in anime (and filler arc) into the argument, a lot of it was made before certain techniques were explained.
