Athena stared at him as he looked her over. She felt a little uneasy but let it go. "Oh I would like that. And no really I came from the north. My Pegasus is a very good flyer and war horse." She smiled again and looked back at the doors. "My fire though isn't a curse, Dragons are not bad. The humans just make them sound that way. If stupid dragon hunters left them alone then i would not have to kill them. And my unicorns also, stupid humans!" Athena stomped the ground. "All that crap about a fair madian seducing a Unicorn is bull. A unicorn is smarter then that." She looked at him. "Sorry I will shut up now." She put her hand to the back of her head and scratched it. "Are there any horses or anyother animals in it?" She asked and blushed a little. "Sorry I got off topic."

Lishkra frowned. When Athena wasn't looking he glared at her. He knew then, at her comment that she was tapping into his mind. Either that or it was extremely coincidental. He couldn't take the risk.
Lishkra concentrated and placed a barrier up inside his mind. If she is reading my mind, I doubt it's with evil intent. It could be purely accidental. Even so, I cannot allow anyone inside my mind. The secrets I know need to be kept that way.
Before she looked back at him he was smiling again. No glare. "So you protect forests huh. What do you know about the forest behind my inn? I'm curious."

Athena stared at him. She had caught the glare from the comer of her eye. Maybe I should have kept my rage to myself. He glared at me for it. Well I could not help it, but dragons are not a curse. She said to herself. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to read your mind. I will keep from doing that." She looked away from him. Wow he has a temper! To be so skinny in fact. She said to Amor. You know I don't trust humans! So I don't care what he has. Amor said back to her.
Athena looked back up at Lishkra. "Anyways?" She said and pulled her hair to one side of her neck. The girl felt weird and ashamed. She had read someone's thoughts with out him saying she could. Athena could not look him in the eyes just then. Instead she studied his body.

Lishkra chuckled. "You're honest about it, that's good." Or bad, given the situation. Lishkra crossed his arms. "Listen, about your mind reading situation, I advise you to tell no one else, and be careful of what you say or others will find out about it."
Lishkra walked in close to her and whispered "they won't find out as fast as me, but if you're not careful they will eventually. There are people in this world, Miss, that will take advantage of that gift. People who aren't as friendly as me." Lishkra stepped back and started talking in his normal voice again. "So this 'trick', is that just you, or do all the elves up in your forest know how to do it?"
This is going to be exhausting always keeping a barrier up in my mind. I'll tell Reaper about this, but no one else. Yet.

I guess that's why my father kept me around him at all times. I also think that is why he sent me on all kinds of missions with the guys. She said to Amor. Well don't trust him Athena. He may not be as friendly as he says he is. Amor said back to her. She stared at Lishkra for a long moment before speaking. "Its not a trick it's a gift only I have in my family and kingdom." Athena stepped back a little and stared at him. She let her eyes look him over. The elf blinked her eyes a few times. "And what do you mean by YOU will find out first?" Athena asked.

"I didn't mean an insult, Miss Athena. When I said 'trick' it was only as a substitute for actually saying what it was. I thought as much as you being the only one to possess it, it would be hard to hide a civilization of 'gifted' elves. Furthermore, if you're the only one to possess this gift I'm sure at least a few people want you back, for greed or other purposes. That means you most likely ran away from your kingdom, unless you're on some assignment, or they let you go anywhere you wish."
Lishkras voice was booming now. He wasn't angry. He was just trying to get a point across. "I highly doubt that if you're the only one with this gift they'd let you go if they couldn't use you if you weren't where they were." Lishkra lowered his voice back down "now what do you mean by me finding out first?"

Athena stared at him with anger in her eyes. She was not even being mean and she understood his point. "Yes I know this. And yes I did run away from my kingdom. I got tired of people telling me what to do with my mind and my body. I have helped my father kill to many people in my life time and I'm tired of it." She looked at him with the same anger. "My family doesn't know where I am. And I would like it if you did not raise your voice at me." Athena looked down at the ground then back up at him. "Your the one who said first or fast or whatever you meant. Do you mind if we sit down or something? My swords are heavy and I'm tired. Plus your asking my questions I don't know how to answer just yet." She said to him and looked at his eyes.

Lishkras voice softened. "I won't tell anyone who you are, or where you are in the case of your father, with the exception of the other inhabitants here. You can rest easy, they're trust worthy. They undertook a test just as you have. As long as you reside here, you will be protected."
Lishkra started walking down the main hall. "The lounge is just up ahead. I trust you're old enough to drink wine."

Athena nodded and followed. She watched him walk and then looked ahead. Her bare feet made no noise as she walked. The elf woman was so quiet that no one could not tell she was following. Only thing that gave her away was the sound of her swords bumping her bow. "Yes I can drink wine. I hope we can become friends. Its a nice place here." She looked around her as she followed. Amor stood by the tree and waited like he was told. The pegasus even munched on the grass as he waited.

Lishkra walked down the main hall until he got to the giant stair case. He turned towards the right wall and walked up to a door. The door was made of a beautiful dark mahogony, with a plain brass doorknob. He opened the door and walked inside. There was a fireplace next on the wall adjacent to the stair case.
In front of the fireplace, five feet away from it, was a luxurious blood red couch with mahogony legs. The floor was the same as the rest of the inn, granite. There was a large window facing the door, which looked out on the outdoor hot springs. Bookshelves were on the walls on either side of the fireplace. On both sides of the couch were sofa chairs, the same blood red color of the couch with mahogony legs.
On the wall behind the couch was a portrait of the three moons. Lishkra gestured to the couch "make yourself at home." With that he was gone.

Athena sat her swords on the couch and looked at the book shelves. She went to one and picked a book to read. After that she walked to the couch and started to read. She noticed he was gone but said nothing. Athena sighed and read on. After an hour or so she stood up and put the book back in its place. She went to the door and opened it. The elf looked down both hallways and slipped out of the room. She made her way to the entrance of the inn and slipped out into the yard to find Amor. The Pegasus whinnied to her and fanned his wings. Athena smiled and hugged him. "That's my boy! Sorry it took me so long." She began to stroke his neck and back. Running her fingers through is mane she smiled to herself.

Lishkra had gone to the kitchen to get wine, but had passed out when he got there. He woke up an hour later. Getting up slowly he leaned against a wall and rubbed his temples. "Ugh." After a minute or two Lishkra stood up straight and rummaged around until he got an open wine bottle and two wine glasses.
Coming out of the kitchen he groaned. His head was throbbing and it felt as though it would explode. Lishkra continued on anyways. Once at the lounge he frowned. Athena wasn't there, but her weapons were.
Sighing, Lishkra placed the bottle and the two glasses on the ground next to the couch. Then he saw his staff on the ground. It was barely visible due to it rolling under the couch. Lishkra went over and picked it up. He went over to the wall by the bookshelf and leaned it up against it.
Now he needed a table. Lishkra went over to a corner of the room on the wall opposite the fireplace and opened a door. Inside was a small storage closet. Lishkra walked in and grabbed a small table. A couple minutes later the table was in front of the couch with the wine bottle and wine glasses on top of it.
Lishkra was bent over on the sofa chair closest to the door, his hands on his temples constantly rubbing.

Athena brought Amor to the stable and found an open stall. She put the Pegasus in it and listened. "Sounds like he is back in the room!" Amor listened as well. He seems hurt or upset about something. Amor said to her. The Pegasus nudged her back as she walked out of the stall. Athena found some water buckets and gave him water. She pulled out a sack of feed from her saddle bag and fed him also. She unsaddled the Stallion and looked around for a place to put her saddle. "Well this just won't do." She smiled to herself. "Got to fix this place up!" She put her saddle down in Amor's stall knowing no one would touch it. The elf kissed his for head and walked back towards the inn. She came inside and listened some more. She sighed and walked back up the stairs towards the lounge. Athena opened the door and saw him. "Are you alright? Do you need any help?" She asked slowly coming towards him.

Lishkra sat up slowly. Turning around he saw Athena. She looked worried. I wonder where she went. "No, I just need to rest."
Lishkra gestured to the wine and the couch. "Have a seat, we need to talk more." I need some questions answered. I'll be patient in getting to them. No need to frighten her.

Athena smiled to him. "I hope you don't mind but I put Amor in the stable." She looked at the couch then sat down. Athena put one leg over the other and brought her hair to side so she would not sit on it. "OK go ahead ask questions and I will try to answer them the best I can." She smiled again and stared at him.
