Tunda listens to Mel and nods slightly as he carefully looks over the pages, tail tip twitching slightly at his feet. "I... think I would like to try to make one of these for dinner... If that's alright?"

"Sure! Don't be surprised if you attract attention though," he chuckled. Mel moved closer, curious. "Did you have one in mind?"
As he had half-expected, the smell of cooking food brought the hungry flocking in. That is, one person poked his nose in, sniffing the air subtly. "I smell steak..." This person Tunda already knew, the wolf named Ed.
Mel spun around. "Oh, Ed! So you want to help me with my lunch, huh? I've got just the thing for you to do while you're waiting!"
The good-natured wolf's eyes suddenly flashed with suspicion and his lips twisted into a half-grin. "Whaaat? What would that be?"
The dragon wore a delighted smirk. "Oh, well you see, we were out in the living room tidying up but my stomach distracted me. Would you be a gem and finish it for us? Then you can have a steak. And maybe even a potato if you finish the vacuuming under the furniture."
"You sure drive a hard bargain..." Feeling a little deflated, the wolf found himself literally driven out of the room with flattened ears as Mel pushed him back out the door. As amused as Ed felt by all of this, the promise of a meal propelled him the rest of the way.
Mel returned to the kitchen beaming brightly. He loved doing that. "Off the hook!" he exclaimed to Tunda with a laugh. "So yes, what was it you wanted to fix for dinner? Did you want some help with that? Oh, and we can start up a shopping list if needed." Instead of returning to the pokemon's side right away, he peeked in at the food cooking in the oven. When he was finished, he wandered back over to Tunda.

At first, Tunda couldn't help the flinch he did as the door opened, cringing slightly in his seat, as if expecting something else. He squashes the urge as best as he could, but he was pretty sure the other two noticed it. Giving a small, wary smile in Ed's direction, Tunda looks back at the book for a moment while Ed and Mel talked, then glanced back up at Mel. "W-what do you two l-like to eat for d-dinnner..?"

"Hm, well Ed is not a picky eater as far as I know. And he's a wolf; he definitely likes meat," he chuckled, pointing over his shoulder at the oven. "As long as the meal isn't vegetarian he'll probably love whatever is served. Actually, I would love just about anything too, but mainly because I just love food and I like to try new things."

Tunda chews on his lower lip in thought for a moment before looking back at the book once more. "W-well, does anyone here have objections about broiled salmon with lemon b-butter, cubed, fried potatoes, mixed veggies, and maybe some cookies for d-dessert?"
