"Danni." She replied to Athena's question, grasping Athena's hand and hauling herself up. When Shintero came in and got rid of the flour, Danni flashed a grin. "Thank God for you then. Shintero, you said? Danni Rinaldi." She said, starting to hold out a hand, but then saw Lia and Ambrose come in.

"Ah..." She said, momentarily caught off guard, which gave Lia time to say in a particularly haughty voice. "Isadora Danni Rinaldi, what do you think you're doing making such a mess when you should be getting dressed?" She demanded, looking down her nose at her younger sister.

Though Danni's eyes flashed, she merely smiled pleasantly, putting her hands in her pockets so no one could see them ball into fists. "Well, Lia, I do believe I was busy making the food you planned on stuffing your face with. Unless of course you want to eat your own cooking, if perhaps you have a preference for egg shell filled omlettes." She said, her voice decievingly sweet even as her eyes shot out daggers.

Lia's face flushed, but she persisted in making a fool of her sister. "Well, unlike some people, I don't have endless hours to fool around in a stuffy kitchen, or fly around on a damned carpet like you. Which, I may add, is pretty pathetic that to get a friend you need to make one. I prefer spending my time working on dressing decently, a skill you're severely lacking in. Just look at the rips in those jeans and the flour on your face. It's disgraceful for you to come out of your room dressed in these rags. Now go on and get dressed like a good little sister, Isadora." She said, pointing to the door, and people could practically hear the reign snapping on Danni's self control.

"Outside." She said between her teeth, and Lia's mouth dropped open. "Excuse me?" She demanded, and Danni couldn't prevent the dark energy that popped out of her, causing Ambrose and Lia to stagger back in surprise. "Outside, now. Either you walk out or I'll drag you, but we're taking this outside, Ophelia." She said, her voice hard and cold, and Lia shuddered despite herself.

"Now, Izzy," Ambrose began, but one look had his hand freezing from where it had started to reach for her. "Oh no, you don't. Just put that shield down right now, cause I aint using no magic. She's tried to put me down one too many times, Ambrose, and I'm not taking it, not again. So either move out of my way, or I will make you move." The last statement was said in a threatening, uncompromising tone that was so unlike her that Ambrose just stared for a moment.

Nobody, he thought, wanted to get in Danni's way when she lost her temper. And she had definitely lost her temper completely this time. It didn't happen often, but when it did it was best to run for cover. Even Lia knew that, which was why she was slowly backing away a step for every one that Danni took towards her.

Knowing that soon it would be too late, Ambrose took Danni roughly by the shoulders, putting his mouth down to her ear. "You're losing it, baby girl. Reign it back in now, this isn't the time." He said, his voice and touch soothing. He breathed out a sigh of relief when he felt her shoulders tense, heard her draw in a deep breath, let it out slowly.

"Just get out, Lia. Get out now before I get my mad back." She said, her voice suddenly weary. Lia wasted no time obeying, rushing out of there so fast that by the time Ambrose walked out, she was already out of sight.

Alone with the others again, Danni silently made her way over to a mixing bowl, began measuring out the ingredients for pancakes. "How many?" She asked, directing the question to Athena even as cook silently ruffled her hair before heating up the griddle.

During the whole sibling fight, Athena had looked back and forth, back and forth. At first, it reminded her somewhat of how her brothers would act (well, but not about clothes). They'd be joking though, and she soon realized that Lia wasn't. The fight made her ears flatten against her head (she was pretty easy to read, really, thanks to her ears). She watched as Ambrose had tried to stop them, and succeeded in calming Danni down at least a bit.

Athena would have said something--and was going to, actually--but then decided against it when Shintero said everything that needed to be said, just glad that none of her siblings ever did anything like that. And that they weren't anything like Lia. So she shrugged. "Two's enough. And he's right." She jerked her thumb at Shintero. Then she turned to him. "Hello. I'm Athena." She smiled pleasantly, hoping to lighten the mood.

A groan escaped from her lips as her eyes fluttered open. Her vision, blurry at first, soon cleared up within a few seconds. A roof. She was lying down on the floor, she realized as she propped herself up with an elbow.
"A library?" she asked out loud. She was right; around her were the shelves that used to hold thousands of books containing the secrets and history to the mystical arts. Not only the arts, but the school. Many of the legally owned books that were still available on the shelves and were not scattered all over the floor had a "PROPERTY OF MYSTIC FOUNTAIN HIGH SCHOOL" sticker on the spine.
She remembered this library in particular, though. She remembered dancing around childishly in someone else's shoes in the very same spot she was sitting in at the moment. She stood up and unconsciously brushed herself off from dust or any little creatures that might have been crawling around.
She began to scan each shelf, as if she were looking for something in particular. It hadn't occurred to her, yet, that her hair was much longer than she was used to.
It felt almost like a dream, walking the aisles of the familiar, yet not so familiar, library that seemed to appear only in her dreams.
"Maybe this is a dream.." she whispered to herself as her fingers reached up to a particular book. She pulled it out from the security of the other books that were keeping it warm and brushed off the dust that was concealing the title.
"The History of the Mystic Fountain.." she read aloud.

Ialo waltzed around the library, putting books back and rearranging them according to some oblique code that he had memorized. He was carrying a tall stack of large reference books, so many that any normal man would have bent under their weight. But not a dragon. And certainly not a determined dragon in OCD mode. He wasn't paying particular attention to where he was going, just thinking of the next shelf. Miraculously, he never stepped on any of the books on the floor (end product of some late-night researching while waiting for some of the new teachers to stop panicking over the first day of school). He walked right past a woman reading a book, several times actually. He knew she was there, she was in his peripheral vision almost the entire time. She just didn't really register to Ialo. Not when he was in one of his organizing frenzies. Ironic really, considering he had the most cluttered dorm that year he attended school here.

He paused, seeing an open spot on the shelf. He looked around, and saw the woman with a book. The History of the Magic Fountain, he could see on the spine even from several feet away. Ialo stood behind her, reading over her shoulder. That book was always one of his favorites.

"Did you know," he suddenly said quietly, "That there used to be one hundred statues located around the school?"

"s**t s**t s**t s**t s**t s**t s**t s**t-"

"Shut up Set."

"Hey, bite me!" was all that he barked back to his twin.

"You're frightening Horus, stop." It was their sister. Her almost chilling attitude snapped Set into attention.

"Yeah alright whatever." The sister's head suddenly shot up and looked to the door almost mechanically. "What is it?"

"Run. Now."

Set dashed forward and with that slick confidence of his, drove his left foot through the door as he and the old fixture exploded into the hallway, scattering a massive cloud of dust that obscured the view of the nearby Tivrusky and Ophiuchus. As Bastet and Ra darted down the hallway, Set ran back inside with blinding speed. With a sweep kick he knocked Horus off his feet, caught him with the same foot as he fell, and tossed him up onto his back. Again he was off.

Ophiuchus was still for a moment, before disappearing.

A few moments later, the sibling found the hallway blocked by such a powerful forcefield, that not even air could pass through. The forcefield was guarded by a humongous white snake with a blue-green cluster of scales on its forehead. The snake glared at them. "Whatever is the commotion about?!"
Runes ran down the hallway and floor, forming a cage of sorts.

Lynda stiffened as she heard the gentleman's voice behind her. It was true, that he hadn't noticed her at all since he came into her view, or so she thought, but she didn't expect him to speak.
Or have such a familiar voice.
She turned the page, reading on about something related to the statues tears. After that page was turned, there was a torn page with the edges tinted with a dark brown burnt color.
As her finger traced the patterns the fire left behind on the paper, her head turned slightly towards the stranger.
"Yes.." she whispered. She was telling the truth, surprisingly. She remembered that little piece of information as soon as he'd said it.

Ialo's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Really? You did?"

He reached over her to place his hand on the page as well, brushing against her hand in the process. "Let's fix this," he mumbled. His hand glowing blue, he ran it across the page, the wood pulp knitting itself back together, the inked words reformed. "I'm sorry, this must must've slipped my radar, I was so sure I had fixed them all.... If you find anymore destroyed pages, just bring the books to me and I'll fix them..." He pulled his hand back, but was reading the page he had fixed. He began to read aloud.

"The Mystic Fountain High School, originally called the Mystic Fountain Academy for the Study of Magiks, is so named for a powerful artifact said to lie within the walls of the castle...." He pulled back, crossing his arms, and continued to read. "There are one hundred statues situated around the school, said to be statues of the original one hundred Elders that sealed the artifact away to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands." He stopped reading.

"Unfortunately, I doubt those statues still exist. A shame really, they added to the mood of the school...."

The corners of her mouth twitched upward softly. "Yes, I did.." she whispered. "I think I was here when they were still intact." she informed. "Attending here, I mean."
She was giving out way too much information to this stranger. Why did she even remember this? Why didn't she for the past few years?
Did being in this place bring her back these memories?
Her eyes traveled down to his hand as the page was, in a way, reborn.

As he read, she felt a wave of comfort surround her. His voice was soothing, she noticed. As he closed the paragraph, another bit of information returned to her. "It almost did fall into the wrong hands.." she mentioned.
She blinked, noticing a slight change to the temperature around her. Her head turned away from the stranger, her silver hair taking place of where her face was.

Ialo's eyebrows were in danger of disappearing into his hair at this point. "You were a student here?" he asked her. Calmed down, he moved in front of her. He pulled the book down from her face with a single finger. Tilting his head, he looked at her. "Huh. I guess you do look kinda familiar." The library was still dim from being closed, but Ialo's electric blue eyes seemed to emit a soft glow of their own accord. He rested his chin on his fist, trying to place her face. As he was concentrating, he was unconsciously letting some of his dragon heat escape, causing to air around him to heat up somewhat.

She was aware of him analyzing her features, but she still felt odd. Shy, even.
She turned her face away from him even more, shielding herself with her hair. She then noticed how long it was.
Lynda gasped softly, hopefully not noticeably to the gentleman in front of her. How did it get so long? she asked herself. How long was she unconscious for?
"Stop that.." she whispered when she noticed he was still staring at her. The area around her became warmer, to her liking. She loved warm temperatures, I suppose that's why she was in Miami for a long time. But where was she now? It all seemed so damn familiar and she wanted answers. "Were you a student here too or something?" she asked, her voice almost frantic because of the thoughts in her head.
She breathed deeply. Calm down, she ordered herself, calm down.

"A student? Yeah." Ialo stared at her a few more seconds. His eyes widened, and his jaw dropped. "Luna?!" He had come from a conference, so he was still wearing a suit, but that didn't stop him from rapidly checking all his pockets. After a moment, he pulled out an old glove, with the crest of a dragon and a war scythe on it. He dangled it in front of her. "Do you remember this?" he asked sharply.

Her head jerked in his direction in surprise. "What did you just call me?" she asked, her voice in a sharper tone. No one in a long time had called her that false name. "That is not my name." she clarified stiffly.
Her once soft, silky crimson eyes blazed almost like the fires in hell. As the sight of a glove came into view, her face softened. "That glove.." she whispered, lifting a finger to touch the crest. "It shows the person's history.." she informed from her newly acquired memory.
She shook her head, blinking. "Luna is not my name, sir." she explained, not even taking a look at the man's face. "My name is Lynda. I was born with that name and.. and.." her tone lost authority and sounded like the familiar child's tone from way back then. "My name was Luna once.. but that was a long time ago.."

".....You remember the glove....." Ialo paused for a moment, then pulled the glove on. "Well, when I was your classmate, you said your name was Luna. So I'm going to keep calling you Luna, because five years means nothing to me."

"Now, are you going to check out that book or what?"
PostPosted: Sat Dec 20, 2008 9:58 pm

"Five years? My classmate?" she asked, her eyebrows rising. She softly shook her head and looked into his eyes. "I don't even remember you, so how could you have been my classma.... I think I remember you.." she whispered as his eyes came into view. As her tone softened in the sentence, she passed the book to his gloved hand. The magic that erupted from the glove charged through the book and into her hand, creating a series of images from both the school's and his past. "I-Ialo.." she croaked out. "My Ialo.."

Ialo smirked. It was a benevolent smirk, however. That glove was one of his greatest assets, being able to look through one's history. It had helped him in sealing many a contract.

"That's my girl." His eyes softened. "But seriously Luna, how have you been?" A stupid question really, since the glove was still activated. Images of a gold figure flashed by. A beach. Blood. Ialo's eyes widened. "Luna?" He had been training, and now did not zone out whenever the glove was in use.
