Nico smirked. He was forgetting that she was the fastest person in the 2nd squad at the moment. As the blade thrusted towards her, she made quick work and disappeared. A horrible sound filled the air. A roar maybe? Nico reappeared, but instead of being by herself, she was standing on a 20ft panther. The panther roared once more and stomped over to ZAne.

"Aw you brought a pet."Zane said as he sonidoed out of the panther's way just before it stepped on him. He started to laugh as a creature started to form behind him first came the legs then a scaly body with a tail and neck already formed finally came a the head a wings. The finished creature was a dragon 50 feet long and 25 feet tall. Spearding it wings out a deep rumblingame from deep from it's metal body. With a flap of it wis it buffeted the area with winds high speed and tookou a few trees. Wen it got lift it let out a roar that sounded like metal being crushed. When it got to the desired hieght it let out it's mouth a stream of molten metal down onto Nico and her panther.

Nico and the gaint panther dodged, but just barely. After a few minutes of thinking she shrugged. "I have to go," She said. She jumped off the black panther as it dissolved into the ground. She began to walk and then that walk turned in to a run, and she was gone.

[Torsin, I'm going to need you to end this in the next post to set up for my character. We can continue this fight another day it a different area. Just say you are out of time and leave.]
Toshiro's eyes shifted carefully as the Vice Captain Nico stood down and turned to leave. "Where are you going!?" He roared at the top of his lungs. It was then he realized that he was rather alone in defending Kurai. He turned to her, and smiled comfortably.
"Can you fight?" He asked her in a calm tone. He turned his head back to the unknown entity and gripped his sword as firmly as he could. Carefully moving slowly toward Kuraime. He folded his wings from their protective manner into a carefully enclosed diamond shape. Preparing a defensive stance he readied his blade, poised to defend Kurai.

[okay well I'll end it now.]
"Dam what a fool."Zane muttered as all the metal he had pulled from the ground faded away to rest back where it came from. Looking out form beneath his hat he reverted back to his sealed state, and let out a loud sigh.
One more dam sould reaper on the hit list when will they get it never run from me.With a small twitch he sonidoed infront of Toshiro yet he did not attack he didn't even have his zanpaku-to out.'Hey could you di me a favor tell that girl Nico next time I see her I will kill her with out mercy goodbye."he said and with that he left via gargantua.

"What an a**," Kurai had seemingly recovered and had risen, if a bit unsteadily. She took a breath, letting Toshiro's calming scent fill her. She came to his side, drawing in another breath and offering her usual crooked smile. "He was afraid of you, you know,"
She acted as if the panic had never been. She was calm, collected, cocky attitude firmly in place, despite her previous weakness. She really did loathe how debilitating her fears were. They made her vulnerable, at target and a burden for those she fought with. There had to be some way to conquer it, or at least keep it in check.

Toshiro lowered his reiatsu levels and allowed his soul to retrieve its initial form. His shinigami attire lazily ruffled against the wind. He was tired, he tasted copper. That didn't stop him from turning around and embrace his arms around Kurai. "Are you okay? I was so worried... if anything happened to you... I wouldn't know what to do."
He sighed heavily while holding her in his arms. "I don't think he was scared of me at all. He didn't want to fight me at the moment. He has something against Nico, I'm next." He said in a harsh tone. He needed to become stronger, fast. With Kurai being a preferred target, he knew that soon... even the higher leveled hollows would begin to go after her. They wanted her alter-ego. They wanted Datenshi.

"I am now," Kurai said truthfully, because she really was alright if she was in Toshiro's arms. She sighed and leaned against him. "I'm sorry I make you worry, sometimes. I'm weak, and I need to be stronger. I need to be more like..."
More like Datenshi. She didn't say it, knowing it would probably bother Toshiro that she wanted to be like her powerful, yet violent, monster. It was like saying she wanted to become a monster, and she wasn't sure that was untrue. If it made her stronger, was it so bad?
"Like Yoruichi," She finished after a pause. That was true enough. She did want to be just like her legendary sister, but there was still that part of her that wanted Datenshi's wild power. Toshiro would never have to worry about her if she could be like that.

Shiro smiled, "It's not that your weak... you're just a prime target for so many." He laughed at the thought. What he said had two meanings to it. For one, some wanted her for the monster inside her. Others, wanted her for her. He released his hug and took her hand into his own. "Ready to go home?" He asked with a smile.

"Gods, yes," Kurai laughed, supremely tired of this place. She squeezed Toshiro's hand. He still seemed so worried, and she wished she could assuage some of his anxieties.
[I guess just general exit b/c this is wrapping up an old storyline, and she's in Las Noches, now..]

Somehow, battered as they were, Kurai and Toshiro made their way to the familiar Shihouin Clan House. Well, not "somehow." Kurai knew it was Toshiro's strength that had saved them from the Cuarta Espada, though it was a near thing. She'd frozen merely from the arrancar's scent, a poignant reminder of just how badly she'd been broken by Hawk.
Datenshi had promised her that no one could break them if they didn't cry and didn't scream. Kurai couldn't remember if she'd cried or screamed or stayed silent the entire time Hawk had her, but she knew something had come undone.
Not that she'd ever tell Toshiro. He would only worry, and this wasn't something he, or anyone else, could fix with a spell. It was something she'd need to mend on her own, though she wondered how long it would take to erase the damage. Maybe it'd always be there.
Toshiro had brought them to the familiar trees that bordered the Clan House. Here, with him, she felt safe. It wasn't something she'd felt in a very long time, and it was quite a relief. She felt lighter.
"That would be the thousandth time you've rescued me," Kurai said with a half-smile. She was feeling more herself every minte.
