Amelia nodded, not entirely sure of what Drake's plan was going to be. "Okay, sure." And she started gathering up items and taking them downstairs.

Alekssander looked down to see the extra weight that was pulling him down. It was Roman. Unconcerned with him for now, he flapped his wings harder, to compensate for the extra weight, but it only slowed their falling. Alekssander, with no time to lose, prepared his signature move. Taking his whip, he tied the end into a noose. Slowly, he placed the noose around Remus' neck, above his hand. Alekssander batted away Remus' hands as he struggled to get the noose off. He looked down. They were only about one hundred feet above the ground.

Amelia let loose a sigh of relief as she sat on the edge of the couch (which was now downstairs) that Holly rested on. "Are either of them hurt?"

Alekssander let loose a scream of fury as the two escaped, for he had wanted to kill them so badly. But nevermind, it was past now. Instead, he flew down to Rei, checked to make sure he wasn't seriously hurt, and together, Rei running on all fours and Alex flying, they made their way back to base.

Rei wasn't long before reaching the door of the house. He looked up to see where Alex was, but then walked in. His ribs hurt badly, and he ached all over, but he thought it was worth it.They deterred them for now, and the two of them seemed to get the worse of it.

Rei sighed as he walked in. "Hey pat, let em know i'll be down in a bit..." He said quietly as he walked upstairs to the bathroom. As time passed, Rei came down, his entire body shaven, his hair was tied back in a sleek braid, and a tattoo on his forearm now revealed. He looked almost nothing like he did before, aside from the unshaven tail to give it all away, instead he decided he'd just wrap his tail around him if they were to go out.

Ivy rushed up to Alex and lightly put her hands on him, "Lay down, please. You'll be okay in a moment."
Once Alex was laying down on the floor Ivy began her process of healing, beginning slow and ending with a beautiful song. A few minutes later Alex's wounds were healed completely, but he was still low on blood- Ivy couldn't heal the lack of something.
"If you need anything, just ask, I'm going to go see if Rei needs anything." Ivy smiled at Alex before leaving him.
She went to Rei, "Wow, what a shock. I like it." She smiled, then became serious, "Do you need me to fix anything? I can make those ribs feel better, if you'd like."

Drake smiled to himself, glad to see the two back safely and to see Ivy find her niche. It pleased him to see her doing what she did best.

Holly, from all of the commotion, stirred. She opened her eyes sleepily and looked at Rei. "What happened to your hair!?" She exclaimed hoarsly as she sat straight up. Her eyes lost focus for a moment as she became dizzy, but she caught herself and continued looking at Rei in wonder. "How long was I out?"

"Not long enough. You need to sleep the rest of this off, Holly. You're almost better." Cliff said as he gently pressed hishand on her chest to lay her back down.

"But I have some research to do." Holly said, trying to get up.

"Research? What of?" Cliff asked.

"Non of your business, currently." She said smugly.

"Hmm, I guess it was for the best." Holly said as she relaxed more into the couch. "But as soon as I wake up again, I'm going to do what I need to do. You guys can bring me food if you'd like, but I have some things to catch up on...." Suddenly she remembered her previous awakening, "Carl..." she said slowly and with fresh tears threatening to swarm her eyes. "You and Alex went to see what happened? I assume you ran into the guys? Did you put Carl to rest...Or is he still there?"

Drake winced, waiting to see how Rei handled it.

Rei tried his best to smile. "Don't worry, we laid him to rest..." He said, his lie sounding very convincing. He tried his best to make his emotions seem like he was telling the truth. He then stood up and smiled at her. He then leaned down and quickly kissed her forehead. "Now get some rest, I've got a few errands to run." He said walking out the door.

He threw on an old coat, and some other clothes he borrowed from Pat, and headed back towards the bar. He decided to walk this time, and try to bring as little attention to him as possible. Once he arrived in the bar, he walked to the back, and dragged Carl's body outside, and began to dig a hole. He dug it the size of a grave, and dropped Carl's body in it. As he threw the dirt back onto it, he spoke softly some celtic words of prayer that he had heard pat use several times before.

He placed a small cross there, and then his ears twitched, the sirens were closing in. His clothes were covered in blood, and he was standing at the scene of a murder, next to a building that only a few hours ago, was in far better shape. He knew he had no other way out but the roofs. He thought a moment, before he took to the roofs, heading back to the hideout.

Amelia overheard the ongoing conversation and looked down at Alekssander's peaceful resting face. She closed her eyes and shook her head, and then said very quietly, "Rei's not the only one who cares."

Cliff spoke up after no one else would, "We rest. We all need it. You four especially." He looked to Rei, Alex, Ivy, and then the sleeping Holly. "You all four have been fighting your own battles and deserve a good rest. I'll make some dinner then we can settle down and take shifts watching. I'm pretty sure those boys won't be coming back too terribly soon. From what I saw, you guys really did some damage."

Ivy nodded and moved to a chair where she sat rigidly in, though her hands shook and eyes drooped from the energy spent healing Alex's wounds. She had delt with much worse though.

Drake went to a chair next to Holly and relaxed into it, wishing he could touch her.
