His eyes followed Nori as the other man wandered around the kitchen and cleaned up. He had half a mind to help, but it seemed that Nori had everything under control. Xavier spent his time sitting on the counter and staring at his phone. No call. They must be really busy. He looked up once Nori was done and then pushed himself off the counter. "Great." Xay led the way down the hall and as they walk he began to explain to Nori what he would be doing. It was a complex series of mathematical equations. It would take Xavier a long time to complete them and if he could delegate the work, it would take some stress off his shoulders. Of course he had someone who normally did the work but he was royally pissed off at that man right now. "You can do that right?" He asked as he let Nori into his office.

Nori listened to Xavier as he walked side by side, occasionally nodding his head in the correct places of conversation and shyly looking at the floor ahead of them as they walked. It felt slightly odd being beside him, and it was then that Nori realized that he was used to being around older serious people, while Xavier was very laid back and closest to his own age. It was slightly comforting. The way Xavier explained things, it sounded as though their mathematics was causing a lot of grief in their department, but Nori didn't exactly know why. He didn't know much technical jargon when it came to computers, but it seemed to have a lot to do outside of the computational science of it just as well, so Nori wouldn't mind giving it a whirl. " I'll try my best, I suppose." he said, nodding quietly as they approached Xavier's office. Nori had never been in here before, and was surprised to see the way it was set up with so many glowing screens and tangled wires. It really was like a security room in that respect. Shortly after they entered, Xavier handed the papers to look over. "Oh, Is this-?" He was about to say "Is this all?", but held his tongue from saying something other than anything humble. With a sweep of his eyes over the page, the numbers fit into a pattern of recognition at once. The papers seemed to have doubled as scratch-paper for the previous owner and Nori could see the frustration in his work. Reading over the work like one would read a novel, Nori sat down in the nearest chair and looked everything over. After getting a pencil from Xavier, he began double checking the work. He could see where the problem solver was going with the problem; he was very smart; but he was using much too conventional formulas. It seemed that a lot of people made the mistake of thinking that you could never be creative with math, and that was when they became too dependent on textbook learning. Over the printer-perfect handwriting, Nori scrawled corrections, making long chains of scratch paper work alongside the original. As one problem finished rather cleanly, Nori moved onto the next with fluid thought guiding his hand. It wasn't that he was a natural; No, Nori wouldn't call himself that, as he had always worked very hard to get to his level of understanding. It was more like anyone could get to this level if they liked numbers as much as he did.

His eyes followed the work that Nori was doing for a short while before Xavier felt confident in the work that the other man was doing. It wasn't that he hadn't trusted that Nori was good enough, it was just that Kyrin talked about him like he could do most math related things with a greater ease then most people and Xay was interested in seeing it. Nori had definitely proven himself worth the praise in a short while. The work that would have taken a lot of his men a good twenty minutes to do was taking Nori no time at all. Xavier turned his attention to the screen in front of him and began to type on his keyboard. With each stroke the screens about the room changed and showed different areas of the building, various series of numbers, and an overall layout of the building. The layout screen showed the building the way a blue print would but on certain parts of it the building shown red and various other areas showed orange. There was a chart on the right side of the screen that told that those colors meant that those particular places weren't secure enough. As Xavier worked, a few of the areas changed from red or orange to green, which meant that they were properly secured. Once immersed in his own work, Xavier seemed oblivious to the fact that Nori was still in the room scrawling away on the sheets that he had been given. Xavier's grey eyes flashed from screen to screen and the typing occasionally ceased when he would watch someone walk across a screen. At one point Miles walked into one of the frames and Xavier sat and watched him talk to a few men. His interested seemed fixed on the older man as his fingers were frozen above his keys. With his brother gone, Xavier couldn't help but notice how much responsibility that Miles had taken on. While he knew that Miles could handle it, Xavier didn't want the idea to go to Miles' head. Who knows what he would do with that kind of power to use at his own will. It took a few seconds, but Xavier was finally able to shake the idea from his head and the typing continued once again, clearing Miles from the screen and from Xavier's thoughts all together.

Jason had spent the last week in Russia working on a weapons deal and had about all he could stand of the cold weather. Upon completion of his deal he hopped his private jet. Though Jason didn’t leave Moscow with out first picking up a few new ‘toys’ to keep him company on the long flight back into the states.
Jason leaned back in his leather seat staring across his private plane at the two hot blondes making out. His eyes watched hungrily as their tongues invaded each others mouths and Ludmila slowly slid her hand up Nadia’s inner thigh, slipping so delicately under the hem of Nadia’s dress. Nadia’s breaths started coming in short gasps with just a hint of a muffled moan under her breath. His eyes were pried from the two blondes by movement on the floor. His new brunette toy was crawling on all fours toward him, his red-headed toy walking upright on her knees in close pursuit. The brunette was naked save a lace G-string and crawled in that sexy, sluty way only a girl stoned out of her mind could do. She had gotten blitzed out of her mind shortly after take off and was now serving the purpose of crack table. She crawled before Jason turning as if to make a human foot rest. The red-head opened a vial and poured a line of cocaine along the small of the brunette’s back. Jason reached down grabbed the lace G-string pulling it with some force, causing a gasp of pain to escape the brunette’s lips he bent down and snorted the line. Leaning back once more in his chair he looked at the blondes they had stripped off most of their clothing to get better access to one another. Jason reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone and dialed Jun’s number. “Jun? Hey yeah it is Jason. I just got done in Russia so to celebrate a good deal and leaving the ******** cold I am going to Miami. If your master will give you a night off the leash I will have tickets waiting for you at the air port so you can meet with me. Bring that Nori girl too.”

It was only a few moments later that Nori's scribbling had seized; the flow of numbers coming together and wrapping themselves up into their simplest form. There was a small exhale of satisfaction, not unlike what he would feel after cleaning the whole kitchen or finishing a seam on a skirt. He was glad to be able to help in such an indulgent way. Soon, his slim form stood before Xavier's desk, ever so quietly holding the papers close to his stomach before garnering attention; The papers that were instantly so valuable as soon as Nori has finished. Valuable in the right hands. It was this sudden thought that made Nori feel strangely confused. He was aiding the Mafia. Organized crime. But he didn't feel bad about it at all. Helping the mafia? He thought of it more as.... helping his family. These people were practically his family now. They knew more about him, and accepted him more than anyone else. He thought of this as he gazed at the orange-haired youth working hard and typing away. Nori smiled warmly to him. When Xavier's busy eyes looked to Nori, he placed the papers on the desk gently, modestly looking to the side. " That's all for this bit." He said, tracing an invisible circle over the work. Nori tried to hide the slight disappointment in his voice, but it lifted into a higher hopeful tone as he asked: "Do you have any more?"

Glancing over the file briefly while Kyrin spoke, Jun gathered very little about the twins, but he did note that they were both highly documented, and that gave him a little worry. What is so important about these two white guys, who are not part of the organization, that would warrant such thorough detail in their files? "Um... Kyrin? Would you mind repeating that? I am suppose to read the files and do what very soon? I am sorry..."As Jun was speaking this pocket began to sing out a very simple mechanical tune. Checking his cell phone he saw that it was Jason. Jun silently requested permission to answer from Ky, and after a brief nod, he hit the green button. "Hello... Hello yeah, how are you doing?... Thats good... hahaha... Ummm, actually Jason, I just picked up an assignment, so I think I'm going to have to pass..." Katchen began to squirm and while holding the phone, Jun was unable to contain him, so he let him jump down.

Xavier's gaze lingered on Nori for a few seconds before he picked up the papers and gave them a once over. He brought a new screen up on the monitor in front of him and typed in the numbers that Nori had calculated. He then looked up at Nori again, "You are good." And there was genuine surprise and praise in his voice. His tired eyes lit up and he shook his head, slightly amazed. He's quick and accurate. He shifted some other papers around on his desk, looking for other work that Nori could do. The more that Xavier could delegate at this point, the better. Xavier could see that Kyrin was starting to lose out on sleep and it didn't take a genius to hear the tiredness on the edge of her voice; the sooner he got the building secure, the less she'd have to worry. Aha! He'd found the stack that he was looking for. He handed it over to Nori, "Here." He said simply. "I was going to do these later, but if you aren't doing anything they are all yours." Clicking his tongue ring, Xay tilted his head at Nori, "But there's got to be some other place for you to do them, I need you to not be in here anymore." It was rather blunt and after Xavier said it, he realized it was probably rude, but he wasn't about to take it back now. Just because it was Nori didn't mean he should give him special treatment, if Nori was going to do work for him, he ought to treat him like any other person that worked for him. And with that, he turned back to the monitors in front of him, feeling that he had sufficiently dismissed Nori.

When Jun asked her to repeat her words, Kyrin nearly snapped at him, but after realizing that she'd spoken in English to him she held her tongue. God I must be tired. How could I forget? She sighed internally before she was about to rattle her words off in English. With the ringing of the phone, Ky waited. She knew that her phone was a necessity, her constant companion, and that a phone call could mean life or death and thusly she wouldn't deny Jun answering his call. Its Jason? And going to have to pass? What is he doing? Kyrin hadn't called or even tried to contact Jason because the man had been gone on work for Jaydn since before Jaydn had left and she wasn't going to interfere. It seemed to Kyrin, though, that perhaps he was done with his job now. And we could really use another hand here. Kyrin didn't particularly have an opinion of the man, since she hadn't had a lot of contact with him, but if he was Jaydn's man then obviously he was good enough to have gained Jaydn's trust.
"Let me talk to him." Kyrin said as she held her hand out for the phone.
When Jun handed it to her, Kyrin spoke into it, "I do hope that you are headed back to town now." Her tone was even, "We need everyone we have right now."

At Xavier's compliment, Nori flushed pleasantly and looked down to hide the smile on his face in the same way a bashful child would show his good report card to a parent. If Nori could get Xavier's approval as well as Ky's, maybe Jaydn could warm up to him someday as well. Nori accepted the new papers happily, briskly hugging them to him with every intention to start immediately. It seemed that a great distance that was between them was starting to close up. And then, "I need you to not be in here anymore." seemed to make the illusion split. Rather than closing up, the distance between them seemed to grow the size of the panama canal. "O-oh, right, of course. You probably don't need..." And when he realized he was talking to the back of Xavier's chair he felt much smaller. " I'll just... come back later then..." he said it so quietly, he doubted the distracted redhead even heard him. Right...I'm probably a terrible distraction. There's no reason for him to want my company. Very timidly, Nori hugged the papers tighter to his chest and left the room, sighing slightly as he made his way to the library.

It hadn't been but half an hour or so after their meeting with Kyrin, that Charles found Miles talking to a few of his men. Their conversation seemed to be ending, so Charles took that moment to talk with Miles. He nodded to Miles' men as they left and then turned to Miles, "So what do you think? How is she holding up? She seems pretty confident to me, but you never know with a Matsui, huh?" It wasn't simply that Charles was concerned for Kyrin's well being, but he was concerned for the establishment. Their new business in the city was still young and so was Kyrin; at least Jaydn had four years experience on her. It was disheartening to Charles that on top of all the other things that were going on that they hadn't heard from Jaydn, so they had no idea how long their boss would be gone. Even through his concern though, he was sure they wouldn't have an major problems. Charles had talked to Nori once about Kyrin and learned just how much Han Matsui loved his daughter. Surely he wont let her make any dire mistakes.

As Charles approached, Miles turned to him, and his worker hustled away quickly. With Charles' presence came the subconscious sigh of being able to lower his authoritative aura. Small talk, even if it was about work, was still a welcome break for the moment. " Kyrin?" He smiled. " It's nothing she can't handle, just something she's not used to having to handle." He paused to pop a mint in his mouth " She can be surprisingly competitive. It'll be good for her. " And if she had any slip-ups, he'd have fun holding them over her head and cleaning them up. " She brought in a new guy today that's pretty sketchy, so I don't know what she has in mind, but it could an extra precaution with what's been going on lately. I don't mind. " At least, he didn't mind so far. "At least you're holding up well yourself."

Charles was surprised for a moment at the surety in the words that Miles spoke of Kyrin, but then he remembered that it was Miles he was talking to. While it was interesting to Charles that Miles seemed to know a lot about her, it was true that he spent more time with her then Charles, himself, did. At work and outside of work. Charles mused to himself and he wondered what kind of pair they would make if they got together. Maybe she could get him to stop putting work above all else in his life. But if she was indeed as competitive as Miles said, then perhaps their metaphorical relationship would turn into one big competition. Miles and women... Charles nearly laughed. Pulling himself out of his internal thoughts, Charles nodded, "Yeah. Draven Dolorinus, right? I have been a little busy to properly meet him." His thoughts engulfed him again, "But you say he's sketchy? Have you had a moment to figure him out or is someone else on that already?" Charles shared Miles want to know as much as he could about people and was already trying to figure out how to shove an investigation into his own already busy schedule if Miles didn't have the time. "I am holding up well, yes. And you seem to be as well, but I never doubted you. You know, with you having some super human ability to never tire of work, and all." Charles cracked a smile at the younger man. "It seems though that with Jaydn gone, I have noticed that a lot of the men in the building are cracking under the intense pressure. Some of them claim that Kyrin is going to get them all killed, I am trying to assure them that she is doing exactly what Jaydn would be doing in this situation, but since she's so green, it is hard to convince them she has the credentials to do her job." He sighed, "I suppose we will just have to continue doing what we can to support her, but she might want to flex her power over them or make a move that gains her their trust. Maybe then we wouldn't be having internal work problems. We need to be focusing on more pressing matters."

As Charles spoke, his eyes had profound shadow of amusement at first; a contemplation that showed he had a lot going on in his mind besides just what he spoke aloud. Miles saw it often from him and figured it was an intellectual side. At the question about Draven, Miles gave the slightest of shrugs that was also reflected in the eyebrows above his glasses. " I just spoke with him briefly.Whether he's shy or unfriendly, I figure I could just ask Kyrin, since she knows him. But by all means, feel free to do your own investigation. " Which implied, If you found out anything good, let me know. As Charles continued on to praise him, Miles gave only half of a smile and shook his head slightly to deny it. Any approval meant very little unless it was coming from his boss. It was the opinion Charles' men had of Kyrin that had him looking off to the side in concentration. He didn't raise his voice too loud, but just enough for the people walking by to hear; a slight tone of annoyance that easily garnered attention. " If they can't trust Kyrin, then they can't trust Jaydn's better judgment. You ought to tell them that. Or if you prefer, I can tell them that."

Charles felt a smile tugging at his lips, "I think I can manage, although..." He was going to continue his thought when he watched one of Miles' men run up. The man was tall, with dark hair and a well fitting suit on. In the building you could always tell a man that worked under Miles, they all had a certain air to them. But on this particular day, he had a frantic look to him when he walked briskly up; Curious Charles nodded to him and said, "Lucius."
Lucius nodded, "Charles. Sir." And then he spoke to both men in a hushed voice, "I'm sorry to interrupt but we just got word that Leo was shot. Unfortunately, by the time he was found he was already dead. We found it kind of odd, because he was shot in the heart, just the same as the other victims have been." He paused a moment, "We haven't acquired any more information at the time. What is our next plan of action?"

“Miss Ky?...Am I headin' back to headquarters? Naw baby gurl I was headin’ to Miami to get some R and R, some nice sunshine and heat would do me well. ******** it was so cold in Russian my ice sickles have ice sickles.” The drugs had dulled but not removed Jason’s normally quick wit. It took him a minute to realize the tone of Ky’s voice. Straitening up a bit in his leather seat dropping the southern accent I loved using, to hide his intellect he spoke. What’s wrong? Your tone sounds off.” thank goodness the drugs aren’t in full affect yet.
