Pyroth nodded to Colche, she was one of the few people who could get him, normally extremely lazy to go run an errand. "Right, tent. I'll go get it, and feed your bunny too? Right. I'll be right back then, you can stay here." He gave her a very canine nuzzle before turning and setting off at a half-lope down the path to the village.

He came back about ten or fifteen minutes later, carrying the folded tent and it's accessories along with a bottle or two of water and something sweet for Colche to snack on that he'd found in the cafeteria while getting her bunny some fresh lettuce and such to snack on.

"Here you go Colche, this stuff should tide you over until Aubrey comes back. Oh and Bunny is all fed and happy." Admittedly it had taken a lot of self control to keep the coyote away from what it thought of as food. "Anything else you need? Oh, hold on a second."

Turning towards the guards, he moved closer but not too close, he knew how intimidating he looked and made sure to bristle just a bit. "Colche" he tilted his head towards her "Is staying here until Aubrey gets out, she won't be any trouble." and without waiting for an answer he headed back over.

"How about we set up your tent?"

Colche nodded some a gentle smile on her face as she looked for a suitable spot outside the gate. there was a little grassy patch large enough for her tent to sit on and letting Pyroth set the little tent up, it was very easy, it was a tent for childrens camping, but safe and warm once the front was folded shut, of course, the whether was warm any way so it didn't need to be boiling.

Giving Pyroth a hug she smiled happily at the Cyote man "Thankyous" she puurred kitty kissing his cheek before climbing in to her tent making sure her sweetie and bottles of water were out of the way she clambered in to the tent with the door flap curled on top of the tent she crawled in to her sleeping bag for a nap. The guards would wake her if ubrey woke up, she was pretty sure and if not she wouldn't sleep for very long before asking about Aubrey again.

Pyroth, after making sure that Colche was all settled, headed off back down the path, none the wiser in terms of what had gone on, just the possible repercussions. He'd choose Colche's happiness over his own vengeful feelings anyday.

Aubrey wasn't the one that should have been harmed anyway, it was the man in charge.

Angelina slowly trekked up to the labs, enjoying the walk and once again hoping to recognize the place she saw Ambrose that night in the rain. Of course that was to no avail and after a bit of a walk she ended up on the large gates of the lab complex. She eyed the guards wearily.

The little cheetah girl had just woken from her slumber, the early morning rays licked through the open tent flap and she stretched, yawning widely. Sh'd had a longnights sleep, no interruptions what so ever, that wasn't so good, Why hadn't Aubrey woken up yet? Crawling from her sleeping bag she sat on the edge of her tent, cross legged in the door way. Picking up one of the bottles Pyroth had provided ehr, she took a long draft of the liquid before stareing out sleepy eyed, ehr gaze fixed upon the guards before slowly letting her eyes roam up to the gates and ultimately the lab. Aubrey was supposed to be awake now..wasn't she? It was morning, how long did she have to sleep before Colche could see her?

Angelina saw Colche and her tent, a sudden pang of sympathy pulling at her heart strings. "Colche, honey? Is that you?" Angelina walked over to her, leaning down and giving her a smile. "How long have you been out here?"

The little cheetah girls concetration was pulled from the building to fall upon Angelina. She smiled, though it was a weak little grin of a thing not her usual wide happy grin at seeing a friend. She did manage to give a little puurr though "Uhm..til mommy wake up" she knew that wasn't the answer, but time never really mattered to Colche, she never did understand the gentle nuances of today is tuesday, or she'd been out here since the announcement. It was good enough that she was here and waiting until Aubrey woke up, it didn't really matter how long.

Angelina frowned, wondering if 'mommy' would wake up at all. From what little Ambrose told her, her injuries seemed pretty bad. "I see," Angelina said with a false encouraging smile. "Wait here a sec." Angelina tried to get out of earshot of the little girl, but her feline ears are rather sharp.

"Hey...:" Angie said, trying to pull a guard aside. "Can you tell me anything about Dr. Lockheart's condition?"

The guard turned to the diminutive girl, his rifle pointed at the ground but still very much a presence. "Look, girl, even we don't know about Dr. Lockheart's condition."

Colche's ears flickered at Angelina moved away, the guards didn't seem any more willing to let her in though so she sighed softly and sat back, her ears flattening slightly while she waited for her most recent companion to return. Pyroth had gone back to the villiage but she wasn't going any where til she saw Aubrey.

Her gentle blue eyes once again looked up at the building, where was Aubrey? Coud she smell her flowers? Did she know that the little cheetah girl was waiting for ehr to wake up? Pyroth had said that sometimes people knew you were waiting, but they had to wake up them selves or it would be a very long time before she saw Aubrey. The waiting was the hard part. Why hadn't Aubrey woken up yet?

Angelina frowned and shook her heads at the guards. "Thanks anyway."

She came back down and sat next to Colche. "What are you doing for food?"

Angelina returned, the guards hadn't let her in either. Round fluffy ears flickered before she spoke "uhm.." She had eaten the peice of cake that Pyroth had braught her last night already, she had three bottles of water which would tide her over. she really didn't want to leave wheat if Aubrey woke up while she was away eating? "I'm okay" she stated simply, looking very rosolute about the whole thing. She had never neglected ehr stomach since she came to the island, but thsi was so much more important than her rumbling tummy.

Angelina reached out and took Colche's hands. "Colche... I can't be certain, but your mommy might be gone for a while. I'm sure she didn't want you to starve yourself."

Colche's ears flattened tightly, she almost cringed at those words "nu uh..Pyroth said she wake up.." her little world was shattered so easily, waking up meant waking up soon, noone had to sleep forever after all,she had to behere when she woke up! She would eb let in when Aubrey woke up. She looked almost paniked at being told Aubrey might not wake up soon.

She took a deep breath. "She will, honey, it just might a while. Sometimes when people get hurt they sleep for a really long time."

Angelina scratched her head. "I'll bring you some food later, okay?" She hesitated for a moment, wondering if she should even bring it up. "Hey Colche.. when it was raining so bad a few days ago, right before Aubrey got hurt, did you see or hear anything really strange?"

Those baby blue eyes tried hard to blink back tears again. "Wake up soon..see again" she mumbles biting her bottom lip nervously as she did so. She would see Aubrey again soon. "Okay" she mutters at the offer of food, her head low now, Aubrey would get up soon, very soon and come and see her or let her in!

"Strange?" Colche tilted her head, she had been thoroughly ensconsed in her 'work' to see any thing,s he had locked herself away inher duplex emerging only for food and to watcha dvd or two to see anything. She shook her head saddly, no she couldn't remember anything from the days before.

Angelina shrugged. "Hear anyone yell or argue or scream? See anyone around outside that shouldn't have been?"

"Uhmm..seed zach.." she paused, she had remembered the scary red guy lurking about, but he hadn't come in "Got owie." she pointed to the back of her neck indecating that she had been hurt. "seed lightsnings then sleeped." She really couldn't remember any more than that, the shock had put her down for the night until she had awoken on suday morning sore and sleepy

"You saw Zach, huh?" Angelina wondered if thet was significant. "What was he doing?"

Colche looked thoughtful, why did she have to think about the nasty lizard man at all? She didn't like him since he attacvked chert and made Chubbs scary. "looking" she stated simply "Zach scary." she nodded some and pouted. she didn't want to think about it, why was Aubrey sleeping, why was she hurt any way?

Angelina decided not to press. "Well.. I'm worried about you, Colche. I think I'm going to go get you some food to eat, okay?"

Colche nodded gently "Kay" she smiled weakly her tufty ears flickering. food was good, as long as she didn't have to go and get it.

Angelina pulled her into a quick hug then got up to get the poor girl some food. "She'll be very happt to see you when she wakes up," she said to her with a smile. Frustrated that she learned very little from this trick, she headed off. Maybe Ambrose would walk with her on the way back.

Colche hugged Angelina back,Angelina was a nice person, she was with Ambrose and she made him all happy, the times she had seen them together any way. Giving a little wave she watched Angelina decend back dow the hill, her eyes turning back to the big cold grey building.

Okay! She was going to do it! Bobby had been searching for Colche for awhile, and had no luck until Pyroth told her where to find the cheetah. She should have known. The girl was probably worried sick about her 'Mommy', and would do anything to see the injured woman.

So, Bobby stopped by cafeteria, two large bags -backpack and dufflebag- in tow. She stuffed them both plump with food, and chocolate cake. The dufflebag was really nice... isolated so whatever was in it wouldn't spoil. It took her longer than expected to get to the lab gates... not only was her movement slow from her added weight, but she was carrying two large bags as well.

Finally, the pig shuffled by and caught sight of the tent. Her heart poured out for the girl, but Bobby was glad that someone had thought ahead so Colche wasn't sleeping unprotected.

Huffing and puffing, with some cursing under her breath, Bobby dropped her bags and flopped on the ground like the exhausted pig she was.

Colche was tucked happily in to her tent. She had come out periodically to sit in the tents opening and stare up at the cold grey building where Aubrey was stil 'sleeping'. She was a tad hungry, but she refused to move until they let her see her mommy.

Crawling to the edge of the tent again she looked up longingly at the building only to catch a familiar scent. Everyone was coming to see if Aubrey was okay. She smiled and clambered out of the tent , taking a short run and glomping Bobby in an unceremonious rough fashion "Bobby!" she stated puuring her little head off.

Bobby had hardly enough time to catch her breath. She heard the cheetah and had tried to quickly get up, but she was still sitting when Colche collided with the pig's protective fat.

The both went down, Colche purring and Bobby with a piggish grunt. Shortly, the woman recovered and wrapped her chunky arms around the girl as best she could. "Well hello Colche! I hope you are doing alright out here. Your tent looks cozy, though!"

Turning a little, the woman got a hold of the strap from the dufflebag. "I hope you're hungry, I brought a feast, even by my standards." Bobby ruffled Colche's hair as she pulled the bag over.

Colche smiled and nodded a little "mommy sleeping, I wan see" she states simpy looking a little forelorn though she tried hard to push it away. She wanted to know why she hadn't woken up yet, why wasn't she allowed in? she just wnated to see Aubrey, just for a little bit.

Looking at the bag her eyes lit up. She was indeed hungy "tent good" she stated with a weak little whisp of a smile on her lips as she stood and attempted to help bobby up to her tent. It was big enough for two, even with somone as big as bobby inside it.

Bobby nodded, but didn't say anything. Aubrey was recovering, and the time for such a thing could take awhile. But Colche was so sad about it and seemed to not want to reflect on the misfortunes, the woman couldn't bring herself to say anything.

As the woman was led to the tent, grabbing the backpack quickly and dragging both bags over, she looked at it doubtably. Could she fit? Sure enough, Colche led her further, inside the tent, and it seemed Bobby would have no problems. "Wow, this tent is a lot bigger than it looks," the woman nodded approvingly. "I am impressed!" Bobby reached over and patted the tent wall carefully as if thanking it for being so big.

It was back to business, with a grin to Colche, the Woman opened up the large dufflebag. "This is for you. I packed it as much and carefully as I could. You can share some of my food, of course, though mine has a variety with some greens in it," Bobby winked as she unpacked some food from the duffle and some from the backpack.

Colche smiled gently, happy there was chocolate cake packed but before she touched it she just double checked the guards were still there, the building hadn't vanished, noone had coem out to get her to say Aubrey was awake. her ears flattened holding the peice of cake she nibbled at it slowly. A very unusual thing for the little cheetah girl to do. She usually bolted ehr food incase it ran off, a remnant of her old life.

Putting the cake down half finished she watched Bobby, her big baby blue eyes filled with worry. Pyroth had promised Aubrey would wake up and thats he would be the first person she would want to see, she was still frightened, that Aubrey wouldn't wake up that her mommy was gone forever just like Bambis mommy never came back.

Licking her lips she looked at the cake, it was good cake, ehr favourite type of cake and her tummy was rumbling quietly making her tummy wobble a bit uncomfortably, but she didn't ant it. She'd give up chocolate cake forever if they would just let her in, just for a little bit.

Bobby took a bite of her sandwich. It was a strange concoction, even for her; like a strange casserole in a hoagie-bun. She had only taken two bites when she noticed Colche's look. The girl was worried sick! Putting down her sandwich, the woman reach forward and held the cheetah in a tender hug.

"Oh Colche," the woman said softly. "I'm sure everything will be alright." Even though Bobby was unsure of her words, for she didn't know the extent of the damages, she smiled encouragedly. Surely, the all-powerful Moreau wouldn't let his beloved die! "Before you know it, Aubrey will be holding you in her arms and telling you how proud she is of you for being so strong," The pig reached around and smoothed a loose piece of black hair from Colche's face.

When she was pulled in to Bobbys arms she finallycried. She had been staying dry eyed as much as she could, hanging around hoping that Aubrey would wake up any second and give her a hug. But she hadn't and she was starting to wonder if she ever would. Usually a promise from Pyroth was enough to set the little cheetah girls mind at ease, and it had, at first but her resolution was starting to slip.

She buried ehr head in the large womans bossom and sobbed softly. Everyone said she would be okay but did anyone know? She didn't know entirely what the message had said what seemed like an eternity ago but she hadn't moved, she wa hungry but didn't want to eat, she just wanted Aubrey. "I want mommy" she whisperes ehr voice a squeeky muurr.

Seeing Colche break down didn't fail to make Bobby tear up. Is this what her children were going through? Surely Patty and Mel were too old to fully admit it... especially Patty who was so like her mother and very independent. But what about Dicky? He was the baby of the family, and had always had his mother there. In fact, they all had...despite her demanding job. A crouple large drops rolled down her cheek and blended into Colche's hair.

The pig rocked the cheetah a little, crooning softly, "There, there, sweety. I wish I had the answers, just to take away your fears. I wish I could bring her back, to wipe your tears." Bobby carefully reached down and lifted Colche's chin so she could look into those magnificent blue eyes. She smiled gently, "But she has to come back. No one would ever be able to leave precious Colche. She just too cute and dear to all of our hearts, and Aubrey's especially!" Bobby tweaked Colche's nose, trying to get at least a small smile from the cheetah.
PostPosted: Thu May 11, 2006 5:11 am

With the tilt of her chin she looked at bobby those huge innocent blue eyes swelledwith tears that she had refused to shed, she wanetd to be brave, it was so hard and with Bobby here her defences had gone at last.

She smiled ever so slightly at the compliment but her ears flattened and she simply cuddled up In Bobby's lap. She knew Aubrey didn't want to leave her, but what if she did? Bambis mother didn't want to leave him either but she went away for ever. "wants her back now" she whispers in a squeeky childish manner, she just had to know Aubrey would come back and hug her again and read her stories, that Aubrey would still be her mommy after all this. That ehr party wasn't her last happy memory of the woman who recued her.

Bobby kept her smiled while Colche looked at her. She would try to be strong enough for the both of them. To see the cheetah in such a state of sadness was enough to tear anyone's heart out. Upon seeing the young woman's smile, the pig thought there was some hope. But the motion was short-lived.

When Colche cuddled in her lap, Bobby started to hum a nice slow, and soothing song. She smoothed back the cheetah's hair as best she could, trying to help the young woman who was currently like a desperate child. "I know, I know... I want her back too... we just have to wait..." Her words sounded horrible to her, how were they supposed to help? Bobby always had a hard time reflecting on her own children, and truly tried not to think about what they were going through with her absense... but now Colche needed her, and Aubrey behind the fence and hard walls of the lab.
