Fieran Anullan Tien stayed silent, but he did turn slightly so that he was looking at her. She wasn't doing what he thought she was...it just wasn't possible.

Tien frowned slightly but did what he thought was right, much to his discomfort. He wrapped an arm around her and brought her close, wondering who she was talking about, "Merlin, we aren't like wolves and much to my distaste, we are more like humans than anything else. If we find the right person we stick with them, if not...it'll only be a matter of time before both of us are hurt. That's why most of us are loners. W hy take that chance?"

She sniffed, "Because he was mine.....and I was his.....And that's the way it should be." She gurgled. She buried her face further in his chest, her tears staining his shirt, "Why's he have to come back at all? If he stayed away I wouldn't be falling apart like this. I hate him." Her voice was muffled but somewhat clear, "b*****d." She garnished softly.

Him? Coming back? The thought of the Ten once again fell in his mind, but he needed to make sure. Merlins would tell him sometime with or without her noticing, "If you hated this man, then why would you be falling apart just because of his arrival? Come now, you are a smart woman. You still..love the person don't you?"

She tilted her head to give him a look, "Of course I do we'd shared blood, there was a connection. When he left the part of him in my head suddenly went cold.....it was like losing an arm..." She shivered. Her connection with Vincent had been very much like having a door inside her head. She'd open the door and in her mind's eye she'd see a study she'd constructed for him. Sometimes he'd be reading in this proverbial study or looking out teh window at the landscape or even sleeping. She had been able to leave it open or even close it but rarly locked it. She'd locked it once when they'd had a bit of a run in.
When Vincent fell asleep with the other Ten he room became dark and cold. She'd open the door and look in, seeing nothing, she'd call and he wouldn't answer, couldn't answer.
Merlin now sighed, "I'm sleepy...." She said quietly.

Love...something he would never understand. His family didn't love each other...or atleast didn't call it love. It was more like..they were allies than family and just as allies can easily become enemies, Troden and himself easily turned on each other.
He sat up, nodding slightly, "I'll let you sleep then..."

Merlin sighed, there were pink tracks on her pale face where her tears had streamed, "You're not tired?" She asked, her voice driftign off, "You can sleep here if you want to......." She was still after that, her chest rising and falling in teh deep rhythm of slumber.

Tien watched for a moment before sighing and slowly getting off of the bed, "I am a true vampire my dear," he said, walking towards the door, "I may be immune to the sun, but I will never go to sleep at night." and with that, he walked out the door.

"Agreed," Lina said, going into the bathroom. She looked at her wrists once again watched as the symbols glowed slightly, but nothing more. She sighed and then looked into the mirror.
