I don't care what Bruce Lee did! I'm not him, nor do I pretend to be. Blossoming Path is the style my character uses, which is actually a combination of styles in and of itself anyway. How I play my character is...not of your concern.
I know my character's moves and motivations. Not you. It's simple. It's clean. It's my perspective.

Me using OOC knowledge just means..
If you have some kind of hidden knife or something that can slide out of your sleeves in the middle of an attack for you to slash me with your hand
And you tell me this in advance..
I'm gonna remember it.. and everytime you bring your hand near my face.. all of my reversals will be done in a way that such a thing wont pose a serious threat to me.
I admit it. I use OOC knowledge. Not to the extreme of buying fire armor.. to fight you. Even though I know that's what you can do..
But I won't allow my character to be an idiot.

Your little shopping trip in Strata, when we were supposed to fight, but then you ended up fighting Dash on the train.
You bought fire-proof body armor, and wore it underneath your hoody from some old dude and a hooker.
