If there was ever a moment to look like a thousand tons just hit Caroline in the head, this was it. Her witty remark came out more of an undignified croak.

Did she just...?

The dragon girl slunk back to her seat, feeling as though she just got out of a trash-talking contest with someone from Mensa.

"... I'm lost."

Ever had finally broken out of her own stupor and then just looked up at Miss Simons at the front of the class. She shook her head slightly and a small grin began to appear on her face as she softly responded to Caroline.

"You wouldn't be the first. She can stun so many people. It's actually fascinating to watch her work sometimes."

Miss Simons folded her hands in front of her and hung her arms loosely.

"Now class, we do not have much time left to review how to sit and walk properly today. So, I would like you all to read chapters 4-6 in your books. Come prepared to work on Wednesday."

She wrote the assignment up on the blackboard and then turned back to the class. "Remember ladies, having a foundation in refinement will allow you to not only be a good representation of Bai Ching, but it will also help you immensely in the future. You will handle yourself better, have better personal relationships, and you will be more respected and taken more seriously. Thank you, class. You are dismissed."

Ever began packing her notes, pen and book away in her backpack. She had five minutes to get outside and to the greenhouse.

Ever was now crouched down outside of the greenhouse, waiting for the current class to finish. She was breathing hard, having run to the class to hopefully make it on time.

As she listened to the class going on inside, she quickly realized that they were discussing dangerous plants. Ever's eyes widened in excitement and she quickly took out her enchanted pen and notebook. The pen began writing on the notebook, taking notes on what Professor Rose was saying while Ever tried to look into the class without being caught. Good thing there were tall bushes on this side of the greenhouse.

Rose continued teaching the class, enjoying the looks on each student's face as they realized just what each plant was capable of. This was one of her less trouble making classes, so she brought out one special plant that was a bit more harmful than the rest, and saved that one for last.

Meanwhile, a small tendril slowly snaked it's way up beneath Ever's notebook, before peeking out over the top and wrapping around it. She finished up what she was telling the class, and in a slightly higher voice, "And it would be wise not to eavesdrop in my domain, Miss ErinĂ½es. Please refrain from any note taking when I'm not teaching you directly."

Ever gasped as she saw her professor bring out a plant she had never seen before. Her class had not been educated on that plant before. It looked really dangerous!

Her hands were gripping the sides of the greenhouse in excitement and her eyes were huge. She didn't even notice the tendril wrapping around her notebook.

She did hear her professor's voice, though, and groaned when she realized she had been caught. She huffed and slid down the side of the greenhouse in disappointment. It was then she saw the vine wrapped around her notebook.

"Hey! That's mine..."

She grabbed the sides of her notebook and tried to pull it free.

Rose smiled slightly when Ever realized she had been caught, and began a sort of impromptu tug of war with the vine. She was debating on whether to let the notebook go or not, since who knows what Ever could do with the info. For now, she merely wrapped up her class, and let everyone leave, before heading outside to watch Ever struggle. "Ever, at this rate, all you'll succeed in doing is ripping the book in two. I'm not even sure I'll let you have it back. That info in your hands is... Potentially disastrous."

Holy Emperor Raigin

PostPosted: Fri Aug 27, 2010 8:47 pm

Raigin Finished working on the small area in the garden hed been working on before and decided to take a walk. As he walked along he thought about his place in the school hierarchy. He was a powerful sorcerer in his own right. However his own magic wasnt pure and healing and levitation or wind. His was elemental black magic. His magic did not only create, it could destroy just as easily. For this reason he refrained from really interacting too much with other students.

As he walked by the green house he saw a student wrestling with a vine wrapped around her book. "Need some assistance miss?" he asked walking up and placing his hand on the Vine gently. The vine wrapped violently around his wrist before his hand began to glow a gentle blue once more and the vine released itself going back toward the green house. Turning he noticed the Teacher and smiled, "Afternoon madam" he said with a bow. Trying to be respectful.

Ever sighed in frustration and dropped the notebook. "I'm a fury, Professor Rose. A fury who does not know how to use all her powers, yet. Plants and potions with my control over the shadows is basically all I have right now to exact revenge. Do you know how hard it is to deny an urge you feel, that you were created to feel? It's my job to get revenge for people when something particularly bad happens."

She looked over at the man that approached her. A new male? Well, he had to have been here before the barrier went up. She'd never seen him before, though.

When he 'rescued' her notebook, she quickly picked it up and nodded to him.

"Thank you..." She didn't know who he was, so she was wary.

Holy Emperor Raigin

PostPosted: Fri Aug 27, 2010 10:47 pm

Noticing she was wary he smiled with a graceful bow, "My apologies." he said politely. "I am Raigin Yukoto, a gardener on the school grounds." he said. He was merely an elf... certainly no fury... but he could control his powers very well. Pressing his hand against a vine on the green house he smiled letting his magic flow through his hands. "Sometime the best thing to do is to simply let nature take its coarse. Everything will resolve itself in due time." he said calmly as a vine wrapped around his wrist before turning into a flower. "Eventually even the most rigid of seeds will blossom into flowers... what i mean is, if you rush yourself you will not find your vengeance... you will simply wilt and wither away to nothing but a hollow shell of regret and remorse." he said calmly. "There are some things you simply cant rush." he added kindly.

Aurora gave the cloth a critical final look. Sewing class had just ended, but she wanted to find any problems with this project now so that she could figure solutions before next time. Seeing no problems yet--she had only just begun it, and had not even started actually sewing--she carefully folded it and placed it into her basket, which she pushed gently into her cubbyhole. Now was her off-period, so she had no classes to hurry towards, and then was the magical creatures class.

Altan was eager for the magical creatures class because sewing bored him. It was not something for him and it was not something he could aid with, so it did not matter so much to the sphinx.

Together, the pair headed to the library.

Rose was floored. This man had just took control of a vine that she was connected to. He overrode her connection to it so fluently. It was baffling, considering she was, in essence, one large plant. Her connection should be nigh unbreakable to anything she was controlling. Yet here this man broke it with ease.

Her leaves shook slightly when she heard his introduction. So he was the gardener that's been poking around the grounds lately. She cleared her throat slightly, and advanced a bit closer. "Evermore, please head into the class. I will talk to you later about this."

She turned her attention to Raigin. "How do you do? I'm Professor Miriam Rose. I teach Environmental Science as well as Botany. I'm also the head of security for the school. I heard you were allowed on the grounds, so I haven't risen a hand against you. I've been kept busy, so we haven't met either. But I must say this. As you can see, I'm an alraune. Despite how I look, I'm nearly half a century in age. I am deeply connected to each and every individual plant in this area, save for those that are inside the building and potted. It's unsettling to feel you poking around and digging up sections of the ground to plant. So, if you could refrain from any gardening without notifying me, it would be deeply appreciated."

Ever looked at the man, an elf apparently, in awe. He got it... HE GOT IT! He understood her need to exact vengeance and he was giving her hints on how to do it! Take time with revenge? She hadn't thought about that. Even during her meditation she never thought about just being patient and looking for the right moment.

Apparently he was also skilled in plants. Perhaps he could educate her on some of the more deadly ones.

She got up and started to go to the greenhouse like Professor Rose asked her to. Right before she went in, though, she looked back at the man, Raigin, and hoped she would see him again. She quickly mouthed silently to him, "Library!"

She smiled at him and then went inside the greenhouse.

Raigin bowed lower realizing somewhere hed overstepped his bounds. "Forgive me madam if ive upset you." he said politely. "I did not mean to cause a fuss I can assure you i do not need to dig to do my planting. My mother taught me much about plants before she passed away." he said trying to explain himself a bit. his powerful elvin vision picked up the nearly unnoticeable movement of the girls lips with ease before she disappeared within. "To make a long excuse short if somethings poking around it probably isnt me... However I will do my best to keep you informed ahead of time Madam." he said politely standing up straight again.

{{Thank you for letting us know, Mitsuki.}}

Meanwhile, Raven was racing from the lake to the greenhouse. There had been another birth last night, and she had wanted to see the new water fairy. To human standards, it was the size of a dust particle, but it glowed brightly with new life.

This made her late to join up with Evermore, though. She had already missed the first class! She knew Ever's schedule like the back of her hand and knew, by the position of the sun in the sky, that she would be at the greenhouse now for her biology class.

Finally, she saw the greenhouse in her line of sight. When she approached, she saw Professor Rose outside speaking to a male elf. It was the same elf that had spoken up toward the end of the assembly this weekend. Why had she not seen him before now, after the barrier went up?

That was not her main focus right now, though. It was getting to Evermore!

She landed on the fury's left shoulder and began to apologize profusely, also explaining why she was late.

Evermore, of course, told her that no apology was needed and that she was happy Raven got to see the new baby fairy. She then started to fill her in on what had happened in Refinement Class.

Raven bounced in glee. "I have always been impressed with how Miss Simons conducts her classes. She is a very smart young woman. You know, Evermore, you could learn..."

Ever put up her hand and groaned. "I know I could, Raven. That is why I am in her class."

Raven couldn't help but giggle and concede. "Ah yes. I suppose it is. Although it is a requirement to graduate."

Evermore turned her head to arch an eyebrow at Raven, but then she just started laughing softly herself.
