I don't remember if it's R/S/E, or D/P/Pt, but winning the Master Rank of contest gets you a star on your trainer card
I know that in D/P, I'd make poffins for giggles, the highest my friends and I got was a 40 something almost maxed out Feebas' beauty on the spot...
Edit: blah...
At least all the moves I have on her carry over...

Heh, my friends and I did that too. But it was more of a "Hey.. what else can we do beside battle?" Then one of us blurted, "Make poffins!" It was kinda fun to do together, because someone always messed it up. They'd spill it or whatever. I can't remember the highest level we made.. I think like 30-something..

Zephyr Alexander I remember how much of a pain it was to catch a Feebas on Sapphire. I know it was something about fishing on a certain tile and do lots of trial and error. x_X I had a moderate amount of trouble finding it. I still haven't found him in Platinum.. but I just traded one over.

Oh gawd...fishing for Feebas....I did that a week straight...no luck...the worse part of it is, the tile is set at random, AND it changes daily -_-
I finally got fed up, and went to the GTS for one...I lucked out and found a JDM one ^_^
still haven't gotten any shinys from it yet though
