"No, perhaps not. But I don't know what could compare to your skin color, Vryn. Bone is the closest thing I've got." He knew she benefited greatly from her mixed heritage just like all the D'vinn children did. Malikhai was the spitting image of his father, Dhairiss knew more about wildlife than most and he had the abilities often associated with a surface elf but the survival techniques of a drow, and Vryn...she was an enigma all by herself. "What effect does the sun have on your skin?"
Obviously he wasn't going to get an answer from the rude pirate. Shaking his head, he settled down near Nell and shook his head. "She's a key even if you don't like the lock she opens, Nell. I know what you see when you look at her and I know you'd rather she not be around. But she can be an asset and until we know more of the situation, you need to leave her alone."
"Is that bad?" It seemed that way, didn't it? Maybe his version of respect wasn't the right one or maybe he just hadn't been paying attention when something else was taught. Taking the meat happily, he gave her a grin and ate it like a starving wolf would a deer carcass. "What else could I be known as?"

A shrug, "Our skin is different from humans...I suppose it just as my mother says 'keeps a healthy rose to my cheeks'. Granted I think differently...sun probably affects me as much as it does you. Though it does make my mother and brother more perky." Shifting her position to be leaning back more and nibbling at her mostly uneaten cake. "Besides, I'm not all 'bone'." Twitching royal blue tipped ears to emphasis on that. She liked her ears best of all.
A turn of her head away from the elder gold as he came back to settle by her as well, and knew what was running through her head. He could ready her like that by this point she supposed. "You know I won't hesitate if she gives me one reason..." Speaking above the child's head in words...there was no sense to upset the little one. Whom got an affectionate pet with her tail, mindful of blades, as he ate. Did they not feed him enough. "Anything you want, Dragonling...just so long as you earn your respect the proper way." A tilt of her head. "You must be tired, why don't you take a nap? I promise you're safe, Dragonling."

Logan gave a small nod to her answers and sighed a bit from where he sat, Gem may be right but that still did not make him feel better. "Well for now things are better I suppose. Though even in a place like this moment like these can be fleeting." Logan allowed his human hand to crawl through his blond hair before he relaxed a little in their spot, even with the hospitality the dragons did make things a little uneasy for him. "Still, better for the other two to be here anyway."

"They can't handle it at all. I've seen humans bake in the sun before; not a pretty sight." Pushing the socks he'd removed over to her with his own feet, he flopped back with his palms down and nodded. He had to admit he really liked her blue tipped ears as well. "But not your toes." Reaching out and lightly brushing his thumb over the pale phalanges, noticing in his assassin's way the texture of her skin.
"The reason you feel is appropriate will not be, Nell. If reason bids, be sure I agree before you do anything. It wouldn't do to cause more trouble." A glance down at the gold with a frown. He was probably feeling the same way about the gold that Nell felt about the silver-turned-white. The gold wasn't like a small dragonling should be and it upset him. He wasn't sure if Cyvalor was one of his own or not though. It bore thinking about and presented an interesting problem if not.
"That's not a very specific answer..." He couldn't do anything with that. He could run a brothel or be a pirate or work in one of the stands that he'd seen set up all along the sands in ports and whatnot. He'd seen those things, had talked to some of those people and could learn those jobs. What could dragons be? He didn't know. "I'm not ti-" Yawning and settling against her, finally comfortable. The other dragon made him a little wary and he wasn't too sure. "He won't eat me either, right?"

"I always assume they react to too much sun like they do fire. It's not pretty." Toes curled at his touching before she shirted to curl her legs under her to keep him from his touching on her feet at least. "I suppose I take after my mother when it comes to blue tipped things."
"Trouble is merely defined by perception...she's nothing but dangerous. The little blue one they have too." Snorting lightly but affectionatly petting over the little dragon leaning against her...she did love caring for the little ones. "The answer doesn't have to be specific, Dragonling...that's the best part." Curling her tail more snug around him, supporting him in a manner. "He won't eat you either, I promise. If he even looks at you like you're tasty, I'll bit him. Okay?" Looking to said dragon of question. "Let's just get all our visitors settled...and you yourself too, Dyranthirim"
Leaning back against her first mate she licking the crumbs off her fingers and gave a little sigh. "That yet to remains answered Logan, we'll see what happens and there's nothing more to that than can be done."

"Then what do you want done. You're the ringleader of this little operation. You're the one with the plans in your head I'm not privy to."
casually waving it off.
"And reinforcing my ship is more valuable to me at the present then sinking thiers."
Hunter and Des were both discussing things on thier own, though it looked like they might have been arguing a bit but keeping voices down as to not disturb other people.
A note came, in heat and deepening shadows, plopping on Savy's lap.
The note was of course from her father, asking about conditions and such, and explaining that the way she wanted things done was primarily thebest way to go about it, making a few minor suggestions to bring it more inline with her description of what was wanted.
Of course it also had some slight chastizing for the idea being forwarded, advising her to take a bit more care and attention around the captain. He wasn't going to say why, just tell her to keep her senses alert and open.

Logan looked at Gem and watched her a bit, she had her first mate to fall back on while for him Aiden was on another plane. At that moment he really wished she was there next with him, in his lap as he held her close like he always did every night. Though pushing those thoughts aside he gave a small nod to Gem before looking away. "Yes you're right, all it takes is time." And it seemed that they had enough of it. So with a sigh Logan just placed his hands in his lap, this was all going to take awhile.

"They do and it's not." Thinking of all the burly men whose bodies had been coated in sweat pretty continuously the last few days. He'd broken a sweat before but he liked to think his own skin looked much better than theirs if he did it. "I'd rather you take after her than your father. Then you'd be a carbon copy of your brother." His dagger was out and ready to rip that note to shreds the minute it showed up on Savvy's lap. In fact, he had it before she could even touch it. Glancing at the seal, he handed it back. "Can't ever be too careful. Call me if you need me." Moving away slightly so that she could have her privacy and he began sharpening his daggers to their usual lethal point.
This was the very reason he didn't like visitors. They brought things he and his clan and the others would rather not see. He agreed that the white and the blue was dangerous but it wouldn't do to wipe them out the way Nell wanted to. "Keep an eye on them. If things progress, we'll take care of it." And yes, that meant Jae and Sky had no chance if that happened. Of course it didn't please him anymore that one of his own kind appeared to be afraid of him. He snorted. "I'm not going to eat you. Why in the name of all that is gold would I do that? This is precisely why humans," --he fairly spat the word-- "should not be raising our kind." Grumbling under his breath as he moved off to notify his own clan as to what was going on.
"Okay." He yawned and licked his lips then watched warily as the gold stalked off before he settled against her and fell asleep. With the sun tickling his scales he just felt sooo tired.

"You are the one Fang, who found yourself in my tracks from your relentless chasing of pirates. If I had my guess...they'll continue to head north through the Glass...beyond that, well not even us dragons like to go there." Snorting lightly to that. "No doubt they might though if they are truly commited to this." When he had chucked shards away, he made sure some were in the most desolate, horrifying, or stagnent of places. It would only get harder the more they tried. His thoughts made him grin a little...how far were the willing to go? Kill dragons as well to meet their ends? It would be interesting. But gold eyes came back to Fang. "Yes I can reinforce you further if I wanted as well...but are you willing to brave places even Jones may be afraid of?" Chuckling and turning, "I'll let you think on that for the night...I'm personally taking over your crows nest again. IF you want to spare your crew my stomach, I suggest they leave me be."
She jumped lightly at the sudden unexpected heat and such of one message delivery, fingers scrambling to grab the scroll and not finding it seeing as it had been grabbed...unknown to her of course and fingers kept searching empty space. "Malikhai isn't so bad once you get past that drive to acheive that he has. And I can't be Khai, he has a certain aversion to dead things." Shrugging lightly and blinking though in surprise as what she was looking for was put into her fingers. Opening it, she ran her fingers over the slightly raised ink, reading without looking. A slight frown at the last bit though...what was he talking about and what was she missing?"
She shook her head as he stalked off, but that didn't mean that she didn't agree with him. She quite did so. One excuse was all she would need and they would be nothing but shreads of scales and blood. Looking down to the little gold, she picked him up and wandered over to her own nest like area, settling him down in it and settling down herself. Troublesome tresspassers...
((Insert cliche sky pattern movement scene.))
Well was not wha she would use to describe what she was feeling at all. No it felt like she had been mauled and drained of everything that she was. Groaning, she rolled over onto her stomach, wings flopped awkwardly and trying to grasp a concept of what was going on. Recognition hit her like a brick and she sprung up to her feet, looking around. A slight sigh of relief as her eyes came to Kaznec's still form and she scooted over to him, checking him over. He looked alright...but something was...off...about him...
Fellnathir didn't give her time however to figure it out as one swipe of her bladed tail sent the while sprawling away from him and she stalked after, stopping a few feet away. "You will do well to stay away from him, Rider."

Click, click.
"and you would do well to not assault a member of our crew who is merely trying to assure herself of her friend's condition."
yes, two guns trained on the silver. he had been coming here to pretty much do the same thing Bell was, check on Kanzec and herself.
"And she is no more Rider then you are. despite her looks. Now you've been hospitable, if not friendly. It would really be a shame to have to kill one of you."

Her ears twitched lightly and talons dug into the dirt as she twisted some to look at the pirate whom had pistols trained on her. A growl and hiss from he throat at him, more from agitation than trying to scare him. She knew his kind, such threats hardly did much. But they made her feel better to do them. "Put away your pistols, pirate. I'll still my ire if you your shot." It wasn't a time to be confrontational on unreasonable levels.
Poor Jaebelltiah on the otherhand...was confused out of her mind. Where were they, who were these people, and what was going on. Though she would be caught staring at the other dragoness whom's scales gleamed of silver. She had never seen another silver dragon before. But her eyes passed to Hunter. "Hunter...where are we?" Eyes glancing down to Kaznec, "And what was done to him?" There was something not right about him. At all. Apart from what had been before.
"If you would be so kind pirate...take her with you and get out of my place. Get her settled as you wish...but the rules apply to her as well, any trouble will be delt with." Glaring, "Leave the young dragonlord to me. He's not your concern as of now."

The pirate very nearly lost his life the moment he withdrew the pistol but seeing as Nell had it under control, he stepped back. Growling low to let the human know he wasn't playing around, he blocked the exit and crossed his arms. Memory was not there which mean that Kaznec's would be the same. Nell had her own plans and he wasn't about to interfere. "Settle her and do nothing else. If you are caught somewhere you aren't to be, you will be killed."

He recocked his pistols.
"We're in the glass sea, Bell. you can Kanzec were having enviromental issues, these dragons here agreed to ease them. Other then that, I don't know what's going on with conditions."
glancing at the gold.
"We're expecting to leave with Kanzec in tow. I'll get Bell settled away from you with the rest of us. but we will be expecting an update on his condition and what your doing. the last thing we need is gold and silver dragons messing about in other affairs not thier concern outside of his direct physical health."
Hey, you didn't slap away a friend without there being a reason for it. and dragons weren't exactly the kind that wouldn't screw with someone's head if they thought it was a good idea he was sure. particularly with that 'rider' term being used as an insult.

His lack of answers was a tad distressing for her. Glass sea...she remembered that somewhat...and she remembered Kaznec not feeling well before things had all started to happen too fast for her liking. But she didn't remember coming here, or docking, or leaving the boat. And who were all these dragons that were covered in gleaming metallic scales that looked at her with a certain scorn? Pushing herself back to her feet she made a motion towards Kanec, only to have tail blades threatening to lop of her hand at the wrist if she moved more. "But he -"
"Is being cared for as needed. You are not involved in that. You've done your part in keeping him alive now we are going to make him well again and not have to fear such places as these." Sure...the same had been done to the white dragoness, but she wasn't going to tell her that. Eyes slid however over to Dyranthirim whom apparently was going to back her up today rather than balk against her. "You've no worry, pirate. We've nothing ill in store for the young dragonlord. Right now, his body is readjusting and acclimating to the formula we gave him. Rapid adapting I suppose you could say." A nod to the white, "Her too...but she needs no more care, her body will process it easily. So if you have to drag her out of here, then do so. The pull she feels to him will be gone soon enough and her mind will ease. His scent all but gone from her and all that entails it." Pulling her tail back to let Hunter come forward to fetch the dragoness that didn't look at all happy.
"But...but Hunter....he needs me." She didn't like the sound of any of this but this was an imposing situation that she'd never been in before. A look to the silver and then it moved over to the gold who seemed perhaps more threatening as he seemed ready to kill them at first step out of bounds. Another half confused half worried look to Hunter. "You call this help?"

He put away his pistols and came forward, taking bell by the hand.
"From what Des said, it's a formula to make sure his body can handle the massive amounts of extra heat from the reflecting and refracting glass. they gave it to her and the younger dragons as well. There's really not much more you can do, Bell."
pulling her a bit away.
"You, from what I understand from Des, nearly killed yourself keeping him alive this far. it's time to let those with more experience tend to his condition. I know you want to stay here, but we're not far away, and I'm sure these two won't mind if you check back in during our stay if he isn't up and about soon. We're not leaving without him, don't worry. They've agreed to at least keep us up to date on things. How about we get you to the nice cool water for a bath."
glancing at the silver.
"maybe then you can talk to the silvers about what heritage you have. after all, not often you get to see a silver, is it?"
