Silence. The tension that reply caused could almost be seen as th ewoman watched her. The light in her pale blue eyes suddenly disappeared and so did the emotion in her voice save for one. Resignation.
"I know someday you will feel the pain those words gave me Lina," she said, her words almost a whisper before suddenly it was cold, so cold that a chill went of the past Lina's spine as she said, "You want me dead. Then do it."
Lina was taken aback, but she grinned, spinning the staff around before turning around to strike her sown with one final blow. The flash of blue appeared once again as the barrier fell to peices, much like glass would. The peices fell around them as Lina yelled, sending the staff down with all her might.
The sound of the yell echoed all around them as Linaknelt on the ground, gripping the staff tightly as she looked at her mother's cold stare.
"Mother..." A flash of red appeared once again and returned Remus to reality just as Lina set the staff down, "So, now you've seen the fall of my mother. And my honor."

"And the spell we need." He shook his head, removing the dizziness brought on by the rapid changes of his surroundings. "How are you feeling after that?" His voice was a little concerned.

"I am fine as would be expected," she replied, straightening herself slightly. A tremor in her voice only showed how much that hurt her, "I only sent you there, but I heard everything. The scene has repeated itself over and over in my mind long enough for me to place the sounds where they should be."

Remus caught the tremor and pulled her close to him. "She loved you very much. I'm sure she wouldn't want you to feel guilt over this for all eternity."

Lina continued looking forward, tears welled in her eyes, "I'm sure she did, but that doesn't make it any bette rwhen she died giving me that stare. A stare that is worse than Dorien's himself.

His arm moved around her shoulders and he gently began leading her out of the room. "Come, remembering is something we must always do, but it is not healthy to dwell for too long on things that are past."

Lina didn't reply but she understood. It was just easier said than done. Her feet moved automatically towards the exits, her gaze blank as she kept close to Remus.

Remus closed the door and led her back to the main area of the base. "You should probably eat something, do you feel up to it?"

The door closed shut behind them and locked on it's own accord, the symbols of the noble families appearing once again. Lina shook her head and sighed, "I don't feel up to it, but I must. Energy is key for my mother's spells to work...did you see it?"

Lina didn't even try to find out as hey moved towards the kitchen, the vampires who were in there way, quickly moving aside as they saw he blank expression on her face.

When they reached the kitchen's, Remus sat her in a chair. He went to the fridge and poured her a glass of blood and retrieved a bunch of grapes. He laid them in front of her and sat down next to her.

Lina stared at the blood, slowly registering the fact that she was actually in the kitchen. She looked to her side and leaned against the table before picking up the glass, "I didn't even realised....I moved from the hall."
