((Well, we both know Joe's not going to die here. It's just a matter of getting out of it, which I'm a bit too preoccupied to do.))

((You can die to anything if you fight it in a dumb enough way. <_<
Just look at what Fyrin went through when he passed up the way he was set up to do the mission.))

((Hahahaha. True. Well...blehh. You guys are draining my life away. I've wasted this whole break...I have three AP classes and an AP project, none of which I've even touched, and a self-taught class that I need to do. I think until Monday, I'll try to not be on...))

Jacob swore. He grabbed what looked to be a fairly sharp branch from a nearby tree and dove into the water after the fish and Joe. When he came to them, he attempted to spread the water apart around a small section of the fish as he stabbed at it, just behind one of it's gills, with the stick, using what wind he could to propell it.

The fish recoiled at the stab, flailing a little. Joe got another breath of air in the time Jacob had bought him.

Joe took a second to focus his thoughts. He would resume his attempt for the surface, and if the thing tried to weigh him down again, he would bash it with the Fists.

Jacob stabbed at the fish's gills once more and dug it in before attempting to gouge out it's left eye with his thumb.

Another jab at its gills directed the fish's attention to Jacob. It gathered a little speed and slammed him to the river floor.

((No response for Fyrin yet.
And we can't die. We're set up for 27.))
Paul thought. "Crap, of course! Marco, cover me!" He whirled and pulled his iPod, activating the Earthdrill and hacking into the wall with it. They didn't have long; this had better work.

The fish knocked some air from Jacob's lungs with the impact. Bubbles floated to the surface of the river. s**t! Imma eat you fishy! he thought as he struggle to get out from under the fish. He jabbed the stick repeatedly at the fish's eyes.

The fish twisted and pressed him against the riverbed harder, pinning the arm with the stick down.

Marco grunted and turned, firing FBs indiscriminately and generally trying to keep CKs back. The backs of his hands began to steam - or smoke - lightly.
Joe hauled himself out of the water, took a couple deep breaths, then launched himself about 50 feet up. He hovered, then looked down at the fish. He spun into a divebomb, split the water right before he hit, and slammed into the fish with the Fists, at such an angle that he wouldn't jam Jacob into the core of the earth.

The fish twisted in agony as the fists impacted it.
It bit Joe.
It hurt.
A lot.
As in, "I'd like that chunk of arm back, please," a lot.
