She was eyeing her food some. "I'm surprised it tastes good...dragons are meat eaters mostly, after all. They're probably feeing us rat food and we wouldn't know any better." Shrugging and taking another bit, "Beggers can't be choosers I suppose." Leaning back some on one hand, it was just nice to be out of all the heat. "Suppose. I don't see Fire and Ice back up and kicking yet. Who knows what the treatment is as well and how long that takes."

"Trust me I might, to a degree really but it doesn't matter, the food is good enough to eat." A small chuckle from Logan before he took a bite and then after chewing awhile swallowed it. "Not in this case, no." Though he gave a nod to Gem and he looked off in the general direction of where Kaz and Bell were. "Well hopefully they will get them better as soon as possible, not that I'm complaining being here it's just that I rather be moving on doing what we have to do."

Fang frowned lightly.
"Least you could have eaten someone that wasn't on duty. thier easier to replace at a given time."
though crossing his arms lightly.
"The glass sea is beyond my reach. the Serpent is too big for the narrow corridors of sands to sail. and if I got her on the glass she'd be impossible to control. However, I can set a course around it, and if your intention is still to stop them, then I can hope to reach the other side of the sea before they do."
Desdemona wasn't exactly thrilled with the idea of leaving Cy alone with the silver, but so far she hadn't done anything violent or intending of violence about him.
"Alright. I'll update them on how things are going. how long do you think they'll be out?"
Deacon sneered back at the dragon.
"No, really? I'd never have guessed that from you carrying them on your shoulders over to wherever it was you went in this camp setup."

He ignored all noises of protest from her since she protested every single time he touched her. It usually made things difficult. He continued to rub the lotion in until no trace was left on her skin then took a bit more from the jar and ran it along her ankles and a few inches of skin revealed after pushing her lower cuffed pantleg up. He kept his rubbing to minimal, using small circles to rub the lotion into her sensitive skin and then studied both of her feet together to make sure she wasn't reacting badly to the ingredients. "You seem to be alright," he intoned softly, brushing his fingers over the tops of her feet. "I'll give you the jar for the rest of your skin. It will help." Glancing up and then lightly brushing his fingers over her tilted cheek to feel for abraded skin there as well.
He wasn't amused nor was he intimidated. "You requested. I answered."

It was probably something that should be expected from an assassin. Their hands weren't calloused like a strict swordsman or marksman would be, and their hands were light with enough pressue learned from how to cripple a body with a poke of a finger if need be. Threat should be perceived in all ways but she knew better than to fear the likes of him. "Born with more underdark resistence I suppose." Assuming such things were underdark in origin. A little startle at him touching her face though...she hated how his movements were so silent and she was always os prepared. But she took the jar anyway with a nod...she had indeed scrubbed to hard and the cooling effect on burning skin worked well for her compliance factors.
"The Rider will be up by the morning. The Red, give him a day or so at the very least...his body is quite unhappy with him. Her tail reaching out and cupping around the little gold, pulling him over closer to her. "Yes, respect without violence or other forceful natures. Respect should always be as such."
"Only because you're part dragon would you know. But I will take your words as reassurance on a level. Not a muffin, but not rat food either. Works for me." Munching absentmindedly and giving a chuckle, "Well well, you sound like one of the crew already now don't you? Ready to keep moving and never staying in one place long...tis the way of pirates on the Sandsea."
He was sleeping up here, I'd hardly call that being on duty. I merely made a crew cut for you to free up your time. I'd suggest someone who doesn't think they can get away with sleeping up here because you can't always see them." Grinning in the way a little boy did when he knew he was causing mischief, "You'd die in there anyway. Black scales on this ship would heat it up faster than dragon fire and crisp you all into crunchy little snacks." He couldn't make it out there too easily either...he'd refused the gold's and silver's solution to the heat. Forced adaptation was not in his books for himself. "What happens when you reach the other side and catch them? You've tried that a few times before already." But this was only one bone of course he had to pick with Fang.

"alright."
Des made her way toward the other group, a little off kilter...but nothing too bad. if this was as bad as it got, she could handle it without any real trouble. of course she did see the other bronze glance at her feet again, and showed her foot to him. the bottom was all scaled. she just didn't like the full look right now. normally he used it, but on glass, well flat footed was just easier.
though a glance at Deacon and helping to dust him off.
"Silver says Bell will be up by morning, good as gold. Kanzec will be out for a bit longer then that."
Fang shrugged.
"Alright then. that's acceptable."
A slight scowl.
"Yes. one time thwarted by those other things, and twice thwarted by you yourself. you need to ask some hard questions in this. if you want these shards kept concealed and you want them for yourself, whatever the case is...you need to remember that your nephew is your enemy. he's not going to let you have them, and he won't hand them over. he'll give them to those shapeshifters or directly to his father."
watching him a moment.
"Just how far are you really willing to go to get what you want?"

"Thought so." A flare of wings and a hop over the edge of the crow's nest, dropping down to the deck. "I wouldn't have to interefere with you if you would watch your steps. I'll deal with my nephew when the time comes, but it is not your place to do so. Besides...I don't have to go through him." Good to know that Fang though he was still after shards. "And...that raises another issue as to why I'm gracing your ship with my presence again...you have something in your possession or the ability to get hold of said something." Frowning and leaning down to meet Fang eye to eye. "You can imagine how unhappy that something makes me..."

Score for him. Not only did she let him rub the lotion in as a test but she also took the vial and agreed to use it on the rest of her body. He assumed she'd be less than pleased were he to begin to strip her down and do it himself. Whether she would actually do as agreed or not was her business and he wasn't about to get involved in that aspect. He'd provided her with relief and thus, his part was fulfilled. "Only because of the place. Your skin is pure as bone, Vryn."
Always willing to give more, wasn't she? It was semi-surprising considering all that he knew of her and how protective she often was. Then again, he was the more sarcastic one and these pirate humans just rubbed him the complete wrong way. "Then you'll be on your way?"
His heart jumped immediately as that tail began snaking it's way towards him, a hidden striker in the grass...friend or foe? His hands clenched but then relaxed when she seemed only to wish him to be closer to her. Disgruntled momentarily, he settled himself once more and frowned. "I don't think so. All the respect I get is what I earn by fighting and making women scream." Maybe she didn't understand? "In the good way. Women like it."

"You must be refering to my live bait. yes, I have it and access to it. though that last instance, I wouldn't have brought it into play at least that early had not my ship been rocked nearly over."
a slight twitching hint of a smile.
"What's the matter? afraid you'll get caught up in a battle you might not win if I decided things aren't going to end in my favor? Or worried about your nephew?"

Logan smiled a small fang like smile at Gem, it was nice to see that she trusted him to a degree. Though he had to laugh at her facts and he grinned again, he seemed to have made the better choice to stay on her ship. "Maybe but I'm worried, you guys say that we have to be completing what is we are out looking for and I rather be getting what we need to look for than to stay here and find out that someone has gathered what we are risking our own lives for." A small sigh from Logan before he shook his head. "Still, right now it is best if we relax anyway. Who knows what would of happened if the dragons did not help us."

A slight frown and a blink. "I'm not that pale..." Or at least she didn't think she was that pale. Her mother wasn't that pale and she'd spend enough time in their private little atrium at home when she there...or maybe not. But bone was exaggerating a little, wasn't it? Not that she would truly know anyway, it wasn't like she could look in a mirror whenever she wanted. "The Tier'dal in me helps immensely in such survival things though."
A wrinkle of her nose and shake of her head to the little dragon whom now sat at her side, even as she turned her attention to checking on the two slumbering dragons nearby, more pointedly Kaznec. She may strangle the other... "Sounds like they are only respecting you because they fear you or you give them exactly what they want." What had this little dragon been doing at such a tender age to talk as such? It was appalling. "You want respect that comes from people appreciating you and looking up to you." Getting up a moment and fetching something, coming back to sit again an curl her tail around him, careful of its blades as she handed him a chunk of smoked meat. "I hardly think you want to be known as nothing more than a bully and pleaser only."
If you had broken your pursuit, you wouldn't have forced reaction from greater forces. You should pick your battles a little more carefully." Growling some in his throat and standing full height, picking Fang up by the fabric at his shoulder as he did so. "Hardly afraid or concerned. I simply care not for such a creature loose in my sands at your beck and call to cause mayhem out here as you please. And right now, I would hate to have to devastate your ship, eat your crew, and slowly chew you to death. You're more valuable this way. Now listen, meat..." Snorting lightly and setting Fang rather gently back down, "In the glass are things of old that have been long forgotten. The dragons went in weakened...they will come out stronger than they did before they were in perfect health and you faced them. Chasing them down like dogs and shooting at them isn't going to work again. Do tell...how would you overcome that then?"
She blinked...wow that was a confusing long sentence that she wasn't sure she got at first. Took her a moment to process it and she tilted her head then before shrugging. "Basic logic; we can't complete what we need to do with dragons down and out when they are the main gatherers of such things. And do you really want to traipse around this place with metallic dragons trailing you suspiciously and likely to kill and eat you at first provocation?" Leaning back on her hands. "The other is simple, some people would be on their way to dying or already dead right now."

"That depends on the options I have available to me. If the ship's arsenal won't work. normally I'd use the bait to bring them down. but since the bait isn't an option, and those others on that ship have a great deal more power then such. I might call on riders. but right now, they aren't likely to go after another target since Lycear chose to surrender the city, thus cutting them out of the potential eggs I bribed them with to go with the armada. So my options run rather slim, don't they."
didn't seem flustered or concerned in the least with threats and picking up.
"I take it though, you probably have something in mind, since I would assume you'd figured most of this out already."

"Riders are selfish things, I'm sure you can bribe them with more than eggs." Cracking his neck to ease his tension some. "To fight dragons, you use dragon slaying weapons or dragon powers against dragon powers." Looking at him flatly at that though, "Don't let that give you any ideas for me though, I'm sure they're swirling in your head some." Not stupid at all...him and Fang were merely working together at the moment but they held no care for one another. "To get past the Laerethe and the elves...magic and ability must outdo magic and ability. For humans...well I'm sure you know all of those." Shaking his head. "Don't think I'm going to give you more answers than you need. I'm flying under their suspicion. But I take it you're going to chase them all till one of you is dead."

"The only person I would have access to even remotely to pit against elves and those things would be Drifter. and she's entirely loyal to the Leviathan and her captain. she'd never agree. and unfortunately for your assumption, the Riders care only about two things. Dragon eggs, and thier own survival. if you can't threaten them, or get them access to dragons or eggs that they'd be willing to risk, you have nothing to bargain with."
crossing his arms.
"So again, unless you have some methodology to get past everything to get these things you apparently want, then I don't see what's to stop me from simply turning my ship the other way and avoiding the hassle. since all my other options are apparently either a moot point or come into conflict with what you want done. and I'm not about to broker deals with other beings to further an agenda I've gotten very little out of but headaches and ship damages. I can wait until after thier excess crew is long gone if I need to before I sink the Claw again and deal with it's captain. Same for the Chimera."

"You haven't offered your dragon eating plaything to the Riders yet? I'm sure that would quell their survival needs as well as their egg hunting needs. Wild dragons, or any caught off guard, would be easy picking." But he knew Fang wouldn't pass that along easily at all. The mock was ripe for that fact alone. Equal threats of sorts phased him no less than his did Fang. A tap of his talons on the deck, "Then leave. I've done nothing to keep you in this deal with me, save not kill you in my sands. But if you do go, my scales are coming with me. That much is certain. You have those to protect your ship through all of this, and I would probably be willing to let you keep them. But if you want to keep them and be on your way, you're going to have to pay me off for them." He wasn't a stupid dragon either to let those go for free. And if he did catch Fang with that creature in his sands once more, nothing was going to protect him if this fell through. Fear Fang he did not...if he wanted, he could have complete control of this ship with a single word.
