Yes, so going to hate herself for this later but at the moment this was how it was. He wanted so much to be a brother and not stranger to her? Well here was an opportunity for him to prove his words and not just sit around smirking and shooting his mouth off. Besides, it was hit fault for all his splashing around that she was all freaked out now. He was under the impression she just couldn't swim judging by his words...and granted she couldn't swim but there was much more than just his words said. Savryn would just keep that to herself. Okay...relax...there's sand under your feet and you're on a slope...that means the shore is behind you. Just turn around and head that way and be done with this water nonsense. "I'm done now, okay?" Her voice muffled since she was still tucked against him...this was ridiculous...had to make sure they knew she was done or risk a dragon throwing her in the water perhaps. This trip was getting worse and worse.

She was calming slightly though he wasn't silly enough to think it was his presence near her that was the ultimate calming agent. It was merely the fact she wasn't flailing in water she obviously couldn't swim in. He wondered why Malik had never taught her...being blind could be a serious advantage in the water after all and she needed to know for times just like this. He knew the D'vinn's went up to the surface and to Andal as well so it couldn't be because of lack of opportunity. Her response calmed his own fight-or-flight modes but her answer caused him to bite his lip. That put him in a rather hard spot, didn't it. A glance to the dragon who shook his head and he sighed.
"You can't be, Vryn, you didn't do anything else to yourself. What if I held you while you bathed? Would that make you feel better? Or I could wash you really quickly and get you out of here. But if I let you out right now that dragon is going to toss you right back in and I know you don't want that."

And yet he wasn't going to be helpful, only proolong her agony by making her stay in the damnable water. So much for him trying to be more than a stranger...he could stay a stranger for all she cared. "Fine." That was all she said before she pushed away from him, turning her back and dropping to her knees. Raise back up in water level made her breathing kick a bit more but she just had to focus. Which meant a handful of sand to help get stuff off quicker and onto the scrubbing.
Using a shard of bone to pick at his teeth, he threw what was left of Fang's lookout, out of the crow's nest and to the deck below. Humans weren't so bad when you were really hungry and were being too occupied to chase down prey in the sands. Fang would probably be angry but that only made him chuckle as he lounged lazily where he was for the moment in the crow's nest. He had plans to discuss with the pirate...but digestion came first.

O-kay...he had a niggling feeling that any ground he'd just gained with her had been lost all over again. And that feeling only intensified when she jerked roughly out of his arms and started tending to herself. Sure, he could understand how she might not want him washing her but if she was that worried about the water, why not let him support her while she went about taking a bath? Women were never going to make any sense to him at all, were they? "If you need me just call." It was pointless to say it but something about it made him feel better. He swam out a little ways so that she had privacy and dove down to grab sand and scour his own skin.

"Well we don't know if what thier doing is a quick fix or a long process, so who knows?"
Giving a shrug and tending to other things anyway. like his crew and waiting around. he didn't like waiting. and just for good measure, treating humanoid blue like one might treat thier cabin boy/girl. just to spite that one dragon.
Desdemona looked down at him.
"Yes I know your here. but these things have to be mentioned anyway. and yes, you want to be a pirate. but you should at least give the idea of being a dragonlord a chance, don't you think? You might like it better."

She didn't need him. That was all there was to it...he just wanted to treat her like she couldn't do anything. Did not need a babysitter. Why couldn't he just go home already. So a good ten minutes of scrubbing her skin harder than necessary with sand and she rinsed herself up and got herself out, taking whatever was handed to her and drying off and pulling clothing over her head. Though when she was directed to where the dragons wanted them all to plop she confiscated a corner to herself.
"Only them." but rolling her eyes as he was taking advantage of the little dragon whom had taken to him probably from feeling abandoned by the others at the moment. That Rider behavior was never going to get out of her. "You really like pushing buttons, don't you?"

He stayed in the water far longer than necessary, giving Savryn plenty of time to settle herself without him around. It was best to give women their space when such things happened, or so he'd learned. Making his own way out, he took the towel with a murmured thanks, dressed and strolled slowly over to where the others were lounging or eating some kind of cake the dragons were handing out. A glance over at Savryn and he frowned. She looked like someone had killed that damn bird of hers. Speaking of which, where was he...? His gaze moved to the skies before he circled back and sat a few feet away from her, handing over a cake. "Try them. They're pretty good." Try not to say too much and don't bother her past this.
He'd wandered back with the female elf, letting the male take as much time as he needed. Hunter ended up with a tail slammed into his chest which knocked him not only off his feet but a few feet backwards since Dyranthirim was significantly large and a rather old dragon. He wasn't playing that game. It wasn't amusing to him and he'd just as soon slay the pirate as watch.
That made him pause for a moment. "I don't know." Was there such a thing as a bad pirate? Gem was a good pirate and she didn't do it...but she was a girl, too and men didn't like their nipples touched. He knew because he'd tried it himself and it hadn't gone over too well. "What do dragonlords get to do?"

That was amusing, though she stifled her laughter somewhat at Hunter. That's what he got for trying to spite dragons.
She was all rattled, her skin was hurting and overly sensitive now, and her second fallback support wasn't back yet. This was not panning out well and she wasn't enjoying a moment of it. The pirates probably would have something wonderfully snide to say if they got wise to it all. Ears twitched at the familiar voice once more. What did he want now? The scent of something caught her attention though and she quessed that was what he wanted. Reaching out she took what he offered...what was that? Bread or something? "Later." Thusly just curling her legs closer to her body and resting said food in her lap. If she ate she was just going to throw up.
"Dragonloards are very important." Hm he was stuck on pirates so maybe..."They're like pirate captains." But better.

He hit the ground with a thud, and glared at the dragon. but...well it might have been expected. if the youth hadn't liked it, not much chance of the older one being friendly. and he was as blunt and crass as that damned elf.
"So how are the two faring?"
Fang looked up at the bones being thrown on his deck. damn that dragon. like he didn't have enough problems with his plan failing with the city, the Riders not happy that thier compensation for thier part was basically cut out for them.
"What is it that you want now? and why are you insisting on eating my crew. why don't you find something else to eat."

"The same reason a sand wolf bothers a nomad's cattle...the opportunity is there and ripe for the taking, and requires less effort than usual hunting does." Getting himself up and leaning against the rim of the crow's nest, looking down at hunter while still picking his teeth. "You should feed them more, disappointingly skinny." Flicking the bone shard down to the deck when he was finished. "So I hear they're in the Glass now..."

She'd taken the food without any snide comments, which was unlike her, but wasn't eating it. Things weren't going well at all. He tapped his fingers against his boots and watched her covertly, nibbling at his own weird cake thing. He'd gotten a bit of an agreement even though they both knew she could easily pitch the cake and claim she'd eaten it. And those weren't great thoughts for him right now. Letting out a full-body sigh, he finally leaned back on his palms and spoke. "Vryn, you're jumpy. What's the matter?"
Pirate captains? That could be very good and then again that could be very bad. He couldn't be a pirate captain because he wasn't a first mate and he knew that if Gem were to give up the ship, Mister Robbins was next. "You mean they gots to boss dragons around?" That didn't sound half bad. "What else do they gotta do?" Because there was always some manner of work involved and they never told you about it until after you took the job.
He stared down at Hunter with a sneer. "Unconscious."

Oh great, she was being obvious...or maybe as an assassin he was trained to see everything little like that. Whichever way she didn't like it but she couldn't help it either...this always happened with water things. It was the ultimate enemy to her. And it wasn't even animate, go figure that. "I scrubbed too hard is all..." Lie, but plausible.
"Yes. They also take care of the others in their clan and fight off the bad things, hunt for extra food when everyone else needs it. Everyone looks to them with great respect above all other things." But a look to Desdemona and a little snort. "You should join your companions. The little one will stay with me."

She'd scrubbed too hard? That didn't surprise him in the least considering how quickly she'd given herself a bath. Sand could be quite coarse on even elven skin and there were special ways to use it that weren't as harmful to sensitive or tender skin. "I have some lotion that will help." He paused a moment as he dug through his various hidden pockets and then opened one runically, pulling out a small jar. Her ankles were closest so he reached out and tugged her a bit closer, baring the skin she hadn't covered with boots yet.
"Lean back and relax. This is just a test to make sure this won't irritate your skin further." Settling her foot in his lap, he tugged off her sock, took a bit of the cream and gently began to rub it into the arch of the underside of her foot.
There was that additional responsibility but it wasn't too bad. "Respect without punching them in the face or making them scream in bed?" Tilting his head and studying the silver dragon closely, he decided he felt alright in her presence. She really didn't seem like she'd try to eat him or drink his scales.

Well he just had everything didn't he? Good for him. A little noise of protest though as he grabbed her ankles and yanked...probably picked that up from his father. She didn't like it but she semi-laid there a bit awkwardly from his pulling, blinking at she was trying to figure out what he was doing. Even more of a blink as his fingers touched the sensitive bottoms of her feet and she wiggled her toes in response, tilting her head as if she was puzzling.

Logan mumbled a bit as he wandered away from the baths all clean. He did feel a lot better now that he was able to pick from between his scales but the dragons made him feel uncomfortable. Still he had to agree that their hospitality was good, as long as no one looked at them the wrong way. But once he arrived in the area with the others he picked up what the food they laid out and he took a bite, and to his surprise it tasted good. "This is really good, thanks." A nod to a dragon who look in his direction and then he turned toward Gem. "So I take it that it's going to be awhile before we leave this place?"
