Luke put the Black Ring in his pocket, and moved over to Alex. He knelt down and hugged her.
"Thank you... you saved my life," he said to her.

Alex groaned and leaned against him, still breathing heavily, still trembling from built up energy and pain. "I.....I.....we're.......e-e-even....."

"Damn right..." Luke said with a weak grin, still hugging her.

At this point, Luke threw caution to the wind and embraced Alex in a "glad to be alive" kiss; however, his pheromones were not spiking at all.

If Alex had been in a better state, she probably would have tried to protest the kiss. But as worked up as she was, and exhausted, and numb, and everything else...she wasn't even thinking about fighting off anything she didn't need to.
It felt good.
And honestly, she wouldn't mind staying just like this for a while.

And that's precisely what Luke did: stay in that position, just kissing Alex, for who knew how long in the quiet outskirts of Gotham. When they finally broke apart, Luke just stared at Alex... and then he glomped her.

Alex looked back at him when he stared at her, her body finally relaxed by this point. For a moment, she considered the possibility that.....being with him might not turn out so bad. That....maybe she wouldn't do something that would screw things up. That......maybe she should give him a chance.
....and then he glomped her.
And her skin screamed. Reminding her that the burns were still there.
"Owowowowowowow...." she hissed.

Luke's eyes went wide, and then he got off her quick, hopping around from one foot to the other repeatedly.
"Oh no oh no oh no!! I-I'm so sorry, Alex! I-I didn't know you were still hurting! Please, please don't be mad at me!" he said, and he seemed quite panicked.

Alex hissed as she sat up, taking a deep breath of air in through her clenched teeth. She glanced up at Luke, pause, then smiled. Gawd he was such a dork it was adorable. "It's okay. Just...be easy for a while. Usually I can heal any kind of burn, but....this stuff's taking a lot longer than normal." she replied, glancing down at herself to inspect her injuries.
Then frowned.
One of the flame things had grabbed her around her diaphragm and arms. Her shirt and jacket had been burned to the point that she didn't have much of a back, and....it was just hanging off of her chest. The flame that had grabbed her legs had turned her jeans into a pair of Daisy Dukes.

Luke got a good look at Alex's new... "appearance", and he stuttered like an idiot for a little bit before finally snapping himself out of it.
"So, uh... D'you-- Can you... Stand?" he asked, trying not to look at her.

Alex blushed heavily and tried to curl her legs up to stand. It hurt to move them, and it was excruciating to try and put any pressure on them. Gently she streached her legs back out and glanced up at him.
".............not...yet. I'll be as good as new in a little while. Just...not...right now."

"Well Miss Skyler," he said, trying to sound smooth. "Anywhere you'd like to go?"

Alex tried to wrap her arms around his neck, but couldn't get them to move that much. So...she just crossed them over her burns to give herself a bit of coverage. "Well...." she began, then hesitated. "......a...someplace where I can soak in some cool water usually helps. Lather up in some Aloe...get some new clothes..." she replied, trying to sound as though this was no big deal as well.

Luke frowned. "Aloe's good for burns and stuff. I remember when I got some really bad sunburns a few years ago, my mom gave me aloe stuff for it. Do you have anywhere that you can go for that sort of thing? Bath, cream, et cetera?"
